Greetings my dear Jungletamers, So a major surprise came when @MarsHydroLED contacted us and asked if would like to try out their new SP 3000 light. Being a fan of Mars Hydro for years, we of course accepted their offer. We are totally in love with this light. I was when I saw it in another grower's setup and was in awe of its output and results. So with much pride and thankfulness for the presents the Universe bestowed on us, in the form of MarsHydroLEDS offer and the bountiful harvest of the last grow, (which I am thoroughly enjoying btw, such a great weed to have grown ourselves) we start out on a new adventure that we can't wait to share with you. With many lessons learned from the previous grow, a mighty producing strain in the form of Expert Seeds Gorilla Glue #4, a.k.a Expert Gorilla's and a tweaked super soil mixture, we are setting out to hopefully get over a gram per watt, preferably 1.5. The Setup A 4.5 (140 cm) x 2(70) x 6.2 (200) grow tent, giving me a .98 m2 workspace. This space is customized to my needs. A standing fan will provide airflow through the whole grow, a top fan will help guide cooler air past my lights onto the grow. 3 56 ltr pots will be the home for the plants when they are 2 weeks old, up to then in smaller jars. The Light The leading role and star of the show will be played by the Mars Hydro SP-3000, so kindly provided by MarsHydroLED, which we will test and review here and I might say, endorse. I'm very careful with who I endorse and support these days, but a company with that many wins in design, I'm talking ever since their first range came out in 2009 these guys have been raising the bar for the whole industry, I did not hesitate to support this leading brand. If you want to compete with these guys, you better bring some quality AND affordable pricing. Why do I endorse the SP-3000 without ANY hesitation? It is seriously THE BEST light on the market in this price range and size group. It has an enormously effective output in U/Mol and with 30% less energy waste comparing to older LED lights. Prove me wrong! And with a company holding a considerable market share selling thousands of units every month, competing on price and quality, one would think that customer service would suffer. Of course, also Mars Hydro is not perfect, but check the sheer amount of people that not only praise the light but also the service received, should the light somehow not perform up to par. Lineage: Chem Sis x Chocolate Diesel x Sour Dubb Popularity: Extremely Popular Flavor/Aroma Profile: Chocolate, Earthy, Fuel Yield: 400 g/m2 Stress Tolerance: High resistance to disease Potency: 24% THC Flowering time: 58 - 63 days The Soil: Those who saw my Monstercropped Gelato #33 grow (you should see it if you didn't, I'm so proud of that grow), know about my super soil and organic nutrients/ permaculture tea combo that starred in my previous diary. Because of the great results, we are going to use the same recipe, adjusted some more with some new ingredients that will complete the mix and give an even more sustained super soil buffer. 20% Atami Bi-grow (very similar to ocean forest) 20% Atami worm castings 20% Atami Coco Coir 10% Hydrocorn 10% Peat powder 1 cup Fossil seaweed chalk 1 cup bonemeal 1 cup bloodmeal 1 cup Microlife 3-4 teaspoons of epsom salt 3 cups of activated biochar (activated with our own permaculture tea) I just made layers, starting with hydro corn on the bottom to aid airflow/run-off. On this I started layering the coco coir, Bi-grow, peat, castings, and amendments in a way that the more mature the plants get, the more phosphorous and less nitrogen they will find. Every time I made three layers, I would mix them by hand. This way we simulate natural soil, which consists of humic layers, composting plant waste, fungal and microbial life, and nutrients from fossilized sources. The Nutrients I will start with just adding 6.4 PH water, although this soil should buffer ph itself and regulate, after 4 weeks, I'll slowly be adding: - Biobizz Grow - Plagron Alga Grow - Biobizz CalMag - Biobizz Flower - Plagron Alga Flower - Biobizz Topmax - Melasses The Tea Some of you might remember the permaculture tea from my previous grow, I have a short video in my harvest page showing how we make it), it will star again in this grow. - (Rain)water - Comfrey (whole plants) - Dandelion leaves - Roots and leaves from the earlier grow - Minor periwinkle (Finca minor) is a plant we have in our garden, it contains an alkaloid that is associated with increased brain function but also is a light toxin for wee beasties and other unwanted guests like gnats (who hate it). - When flowering I add some wood ash to this mix Thank you for checking in on one of my grows again! Every week I watch my girls grow into beautiful budding trees only difference is now she in flowering I take her outside to absorb some of the beautiful sunshine and she's loving every bit of it. I let her stay outside for 8 hours in nature then back inside for another 8 hours of led full spectrum and turn out my lights for another 8 hr she's an Auto so she loving every minute of this ...... this is the results ⬆️

My camera doesn't quite do it justice just how beautiful this plant is. Id say moderate amount of frost if I were to guess maybe 21-22%, but the Terps are out of this world. When you walk into the grow room all you smell is dank rotten cherrys and gas. The nose has transformed and changed so many times in the past 3-4 weeks it's been incredible. Opened a palette to me I never knew existed in weed; it has a smell that's Rich in Red Fruity Wine, hash/rosin (like when you hit a rosin disposable or you smell some good fresh press), with a cherry- black cherry fruit punch forward Superboof. Truly incredible. I pray these trichome heads stand a bit taller within the next 3-4 weeks, so we can get a nice wash + press going to make sum DELICIOUS Super Fried Applez Live Rosin

Start of week 7 is here.. As you can see i made some changes i added a 200 w spiderfarmer light. Together with my 2 x vivosun 100 w And i made a new "wall" coming from a recomendación in a question i asked. Thank you to this person! Helps a lot. Buds are forming. Just entering week 7, but by the looks of it almost seems start of week 8 😅

Week two of the vegetative phase, and the Banana Purple Punch is growing like crazy!🌱🌿 The Banana Purple Punch is growing fast and looks super healthy. The leaves are a vibrant green, and the plant is definitely thriving. I’m sticking to the BioBizz nutrient schedule for the vegetative phase, and I’ve also added some Root Juice to support strong root development. 🌱 So far, everything seems to be going perfectly. The growth has been steady, and I’m excited to see how much more progress the plant will make in the coming weeks. This is shaping up to be a great grow! 😁✨

bending some sticks to give better light penetration to lower parts of the plants. Added green grass layer for bacteria and better watering ability. Just added NeemOil one time to prevent fungus gnats. Rest of the time only watering once a day a little amount. Terps start to develop: Tezla OG = kushy, planty smell Marshmallow OG = Kushy Earthy smell Nutter Budder = Super Nutty and Calí Kushy Smell the best one out of the three yet.

From today, the girl is turning 12-12:) she is really different from the ones I have already had to grow:) she is small, but has quite a lot of branches, weak, and I cut off the hidden branches so as not to save the plant's energy in vain:) beautiful girl looks healthy, drinks 3 liters every second day :) good luck to everyone:).

The plant is big enough, so I've done some LST :) Also this is the last week that I can spray the mixture with neem oil because from the next, this girl will start flowering.

It’s bern roughly two months these guys have been growing! Lst’d Both but untied the gg because I wasn’t sure she was benefiting from it so I’m going to do it over. These ladies (I hope) will start their flower journey next week when I revive my new flower tent 😎..stay tuned for some epic buds..I hope!!

10/8 - Gave Willow her last feeding. Flushing from here on out. 10/9 - began flushing Buffy. It is looking like Willow will go for at least a week longer than Buffy. I am scrambling to figure out an alternative drying space/option. 10/11 - began flushing Willow 10/13 - I am guessing Buffy will be harvested in the next couple days. Willow looks to need another 7-10 days.

I can't stress enough how aggressive some plants are when it comes to needing insoluble nutrients! I was seeing light bleaching and yellowing of new leaves, thinking it was heat and light intensity. After transplant into much bigger pot with heavy amendments and a few days time, plant is fully green and almost as tall as I am! Pistils are pink/red/white. Aroma is quite subtle yet but doesn't have the typical Marijuana scent, more like handling a literal strawberry plant and those strawberry candies that have the gel inside when the room gets humid after watering. Structure is sturdy but side branches have stretched alot. I feel that this plant will have fewer budsites but those flowers will grow full and dense. I can't wait but will give this plant maybe another week of veg light hours. I'm at 13 right now and with the recent addition of a 24W UVa bar I custom made and the Emerson Effect still, transition should be quick but I honestly don't know...maybe my spectrums are keeping this plant vegging? Idk All I know is this is an awesome plant that really has no issues still but now I know to keep up on fertilizers. 1.5" of vertical growth each day and plant keeps showing me each morning that it wants more water and ferts! Every day, full strength nutes and it doesn't burn! I am seeing very clear runoff so ferts are sticking and being used while the Molasses is chelating whatever might runoff. This is good!! PH stable right above 6@ feedings, next day down to 5.95. I just can't get over the never ending changes in aromas this plant gives off; today being fresh HoneyCrisp apples! I took off 30 minutes off lighting schedule so now the rest of this week should be fast, then slow. We might see pom-poms next week.

Happy new year everyone! I hope everyone had some amazing festivities! 😃 Regarding my babies I think I might be underfeeding them and one might be shocked thanks to the heat and the lack of nutrients I gave them, last week's runoff water scared me and the plants might be suffering because of that! Most of the issues starts to get more noticeable later during the week! 😖 I started giving them few nutrients to see how they would react and at the end of the week it's clear that I had to give them waaaaay more 😵 Besides that I also moved them to their final pots and I topped Pistachio, out of the two she's the one that looks the best. I also defoliated them a little. I also believe they didn't get a transplant shock (I mean, they would've been worse if that was the case haha) and I added more mycorrhizas during the transplant (I heard they help a lot with hot climates and I need help with that badly) Anyway, thanks for reading!
