Week 9 for Gelato 41, She was transplanted into the big 250L pot mid last week to my outdoor spot, she doesn't look like shes grown much since last week but i think its because how big her new pot actually looks compared to the 5L pot but shes definitely bigger😂 The mulch to keep her soil cool is just straight up hay (going for as low spending costs as possible) which i had laying around the garden already from a few years ago😇 Shes getting sprayed every morning at sun rise to help with pests... as my other plants around her are having aphid issues but haven't had to kill any off of her funnily enough.

So this week is the start of flower !! Woooohooo finally get to show what I'm made of ! Step one ) take all the big fan leaves Step two ) establish a "light line" and take all small shoots that are unable to get the proper amount of light due to their distance from the top of the canopy. * These are the places we all wish would grow ! These are also the places that are at risk of - hermaphroditism - mold - waste of energy for the plant. ** These are also some of the best places to take clones ** Continue to tie and secure everything in preparation of massize buds ! I hope some people looked at this like " This took way too much off " I took ALOT. Yes I push , I push hard to know how much they can take . Yes I would say 60% of plants DO NOT like a massive defoliating. But, the ones who do , you will unlock a yeild like never seen . It's the risk we take . One thing I have noticed is when I'm gonna defoli , I don't combone high stress or toping + a bunch of other techniques . Should have some pretty huge plants by two months ! Thanks for stopping by more notes and pictures to follow . First week of flower was a great success!!! Unfortunately I did have covid this week so my pictures weren't exactly where I would want them . For these genetics, it's crazy , they haven't been topped or LST'd and yet they are growing flat at the top ! *** I did have covid this week so my pictures weren't exactly up to par. So I'll do my.best to make it up with notes , - this week very little flower stretch that is definitely a plus for people who want medium sized bushy plants . Not saying that this one won't stretch but so far there has been very little stretching . - there are ALOT of nice shoots throughout the canopy, plenty of places to take clones *** this genetic clones very well so that is another thing to note ! So great clonability . The end of week one I have seen very little stretching , in my opinion these could all be considered S1 . It interesting, even with no topping or training these plants NATURALLY grow FLAT! so for all you Screeners out there this is a primal genetic for that !!! In to week two !!! Here We Go !!! -------------------------- Find these world class genetics at : https://www.exoticseed.eu/products/exotic-animal#:~:text=What%20is%20Exotic%20Seed's%20Exotic,be%20cultivated%20indoors%20and%20outdoors. Definitely in the chop zone now. Will start to flush anyway as I think I locked her up a little with too much top dressing. The other plant is stacked. Looking forward to harvesting. Some linalool, pinene, and caryophyllene coming through.

So outdoors are always so tricky in Illinois. This plant started in mid April when it was warm, then super cold with snow, followed by moderate weather, to be harvested a touch early due to high humidity, drought—followed by days of lots of rain. She suffered bud rot on a few sites and was harvested immediately after to save the rest of the plant. Super frosty, great terps and she survived it all! Literally! Smells like fruit and dough.

Alright, week 8! Blueberry, the healthy one, looks just fine! Im looking a lot forward too see this tall plant get done. The sick one, seems like it has some normal growth, but i am just unsure of the outcome of the quality of the buds.. lsd-25 is still looking great and will be harvested in a week or 2. I will probably start flushing this week. Day 54: found some little orange egg-looking things in the buds of one og the lsd plants. I removed it and cross my fingers it will stay away. The lsd’s also show some minor signs of nute burn, and the other one is a bit light green on some leaves. I found plants that acted similar in other diaries, but for now i gave straight water

A couple of days into first week of flowering. Plants look very juicy, thick and super vigorous. They like the higher ec and co2 this time around.

Diaries updated daily so please check back! Welcome to day 1 of week 4 aka day 22 since breaking ground. Nesia continues to impress, being by far the most advanced plant for her age that I have grown so far. I am very excited for this week in particular. She is following Karen's pattern exactly, except without the three week bad start. By the end of this week I expect she will be 50cm in diameter at least. Day 22.5: Performed LST on secondary nodes. Day 23.5: Fertigated. Adjusted pot and added risers. Performed some brutal LST. She's growing almost completely horizontal now. My plan is to train her around the pot circumference. She's currently about where Karen was at the end of week 5. She is consistently 10-11 days ahead of Karen so far. Exciting. Brutal LST honestly I'm basically torturing her at this point. Day 23.75: Fertigated 3l Day 24: Nesia has put on a lot of foliage growth in the last 24h. I am noticing a pattern here with defoliating, it seems that the plants seem to alternate between focusing on foliage growth and focusing on height. I am starting to think regular defoliation may reduce internode distance and stretching. I am going to test this theory a bit by letting both Nesia and Misty grow a bit now before I further LST the primary node. Removed a few fan leaves. Day 26: Reconfigured tent. See video. Nesia now has more light. Incidentally, I believe I have now corrected the Magnesium deficiency, colour is looking great, growth accelerating rapidly. I did say this would be an even bigger week than last and it is certainly shaping up that way. Fertigated 2l. Day 27: Performed major LST and minor defoliation. Nesia is really growing well. She fills the big pot already. I severaly pruned the companion plants to make room for Nesia. I also reorganised the tents and configuration again while installing upgrades. New reflector. Much bigger carbon filter. Airflow and light both increased and optimised. See video. Day 28: Nesia has responded quite strongly to the LST and defoliation yesterday. Nesia has not been watered for 48h. I am doing a short "dry spell" for all the plants. End of week summary: Well what a great week for Nesia. She hid a lot of her growth under massive leaves until the LST on day 27. I was pretty hard with her, and I aslo defoliated. She saved us a big surprise for the end of the week. Can you believe the response 24h later? That is quite shockingly good adaptation. I am certain that the reason she responds so strongly, is because by now, the end of week 4, she is well used to this regular process. Every time I have done LST and/or defoliation she has responded quicker and more vigorously. Nesia is going to far, far exceed Karen in size if she keeps up at this rate. Overall I couldn't be much more pleased with Nesia. She is an absolute star and I am already thinking a possible future diary of the month winner. I have been extremely impressed with Fast Buds genetics so far.

First week under big light, and in big pots. The light is at 50% giving me an average 550umol at 2ft. The ec fans are running about 50%. Total power consumption is around 600w so costing about 0.10 per hour to run.

•••••••••••••••••••••••••• Oct. 24 - Oct. 30 •••••••••••••••••••••••••• 👩‍🌾 SOWED: Aug. 9th 🕛 12/12 START : Oct.1st 🗓️ WEEK 5 of FLOWERING 🏁 ESTIMATED FINISH: Dec. 3rd •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• WEEKLY SUMMARY: •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• 🙋‍♀️Fo' Twenny here!🙋‍♀️ Back with this week's update on our mostly Indica 🔵🔵 BLUEBERRY cultivar bred by DUTCH PASSION SEEDS! I am trying a new format for the weekly summary portion of my diary. Let me know what ya'll think! 👃 AROMA: Her aroma is fairly strong for this stage of flower. Blueberry dankness all the way! I look forward to experiencing the evolution of her terpine profile. One of my favorite aspects of growing cannabis is how much these plants change from start to finish and how much variation is possible with this plant. ❇️ BUD STRUCTURE: She is stacking on big round mounds of calyxes and looks like she is going to have large dense buds! 🎨 Color: She is a lighter almost an olive shade of green, right now. Her bright white pistils have a distinctive yellow hue to them. 🌿 STEM, STRETCH, & INTERNODES: She stretched more than I had expected. She has thick stems and relatively tight internodal growth. She definitely looks Indica in her bud structure. ✂️ TRAINING/PRUNING: I have continued selective defoliation as needed to avoid crowding herself and her neighbors. I remove no more than 25% of foliage at any one time, and usually closer 10-15%. I space out defoliation with a minimum of 3 days between sessions, in most instances. There will be exceptions to that, but this is a good rule of thumb I try to adhere to. She has been trained to have 6 main shoots and I am using LST techniques to gently bend her stems to evenly fill her space without overcrowding. ❄️TRICHOMES/RESIN PRODUCTION: Her buds are already starting to sparkle amd glisten. It looks like she will be a good resin producer! 🚿 WATER/FEED: I have continued with a light bidiurnal misting of White Dutch Clover cover crop . This in conjunction with running lower temps (New AC) has seemed to have drastically increased feeding intervals. My plants are needing much less water than in previous runs. I typically give the whole SOG one feed per week with light watering of select individual cultivars as needed between feeds. I try my best to "read" my garden. The amount of water between feeds depends on how soon the next feed will be. I feed the garden as a whole and this run I have been generally spacing feeds out 5-7 days or until the the first plant shows beginning signs of wilt (slight droop of lower fan leaves). 📝 OBSERVATION/NOTES: She doesnt appear to have any signs of deficiency or toxicity. No indications of stress, disease, or pests. Any advice, suggestions, or constructive criticisms are always welcome. Now, for the weekly break down! •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• THIS WEEK'S BREAK DOWN •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• 10/29 - Day 81/Day 29 of Bloom °°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°° 🎥 FILMING DAY 🎥 🚿 FEED DAY 🚿 The cultivar received approximately 1 gallon of solution.
