Ok, so it's slowly getting thicker and frostier. At week seven my girl could be ready in anywhere from two weeks to four weeks more. The light was dropped closer to the top of the canopy. I decided to try 15 cm of distance, as well four 50W LEDs are not as powerful as the 600W HID or LED panels that are usually used in grow tents. I will of course keep an eye for signs of light and heat stress, but I suspect that won't be a problem. Update Day 89. Today I decided to turn the plant around to see the back colas and their growth. Then I found some mites under the leaves after examining weird spots in a couple of leaves. It seems to me that there was not enough airflow to deter the mites from making home in the back leaves, when compared to the front leaves of my plant. Lesson learnt, rotate plant often, ensure good and even airflow. I didn't find any webs beside a really small one seen on the video (most affected leaf). So, I think I found them mites early. I only found this kind of damage on very few leaves, and each leave contained less than 8 mites (at least that I could see) and a couple of eggs. So it seems that paying close attention to my leaves saved me from an out of control infestation. Anyhow... I removed all of the leaves that had even a single mite, or a single mark of discoloration. Also, I disinfected the grow tent, top of soil and lower part of the branches by spraying them with a 1/4 tbsp of bleach per liter of water. After that was completely dry, I mixed one part rubbing alcohol with 9 parts water and misted both sides of the leaves and even the buds directly (ethanol evaporates easily, so there shouldn't be residues left after it dries completely). Prevention is key, and some aspects I could've considered before are: 1. not grow any other plant next to my cannabis 2. Don't come into my indoor growtent after tending my outdoor plants. 3. Ensure even and plenty airflow. So, I attacked back strongly. I cut more leaves than those that showed damage, to increase airflow. I will be on the watch for pests and will rotate my plant often, as well as spraying a few times every week, just to make sure they don't come back. I also am going to build a kind of metal wire cage to separate the colas further and make it harder for any pest to spread. Its only my second grow, but from what I've read online about mites, it's way more costly (time and money) to deal with an infestation than to strike them hard early. I guess that specially now that I noticed them before they even made webs. Look closely at your girls growbros ! Update day 90. So this morning I. Becker the trichomes and they seem to have gotten more cloudy. I am not an expert at that, but they are starting to be fewer clear and more milky. I will keep an eye on them, but it think harvest might be here very soon, probably closer to the 9 week mark than to the 12 week one (I'm about to finish the 7th week)...

Day 74. One more victim of war against bud rot. Prevention needs sacrifices sometimes... Day 78. Second was sacrificed for more space too ;))) Day 84. First girl is Jared . Fantastic bud quality !!! This was their last week! Harvested on Day 60. Smells are incredible, tricomes are carpeted and have a good mix of amber and cloudy. Love the wireless microscope I got of Amazon ❤️ i gave the girls their last watering on day 55 , and I watered till I had about 15% runoff. I like to whole plant hang dry my plants in my tent, hopefully, aiming for about 60 degrees and 60% humidity for about 10-14 days. Typically the more there is, the longer it takes. i cant wait! 🤤

First week under my new DIY led panel. Had to move the fan above the led because the light was too far away from the plants. Hey peeps! I have now started lowering the nutrients and the PPM is 1200 on average but I intend on lowering it in the next couple of days in order to start flushing her later next week. She keeps popping out bud sites all over the bottom even though we did trim her in the first couple weeks. I have decided that, when I do harveserst her, i'm going to harveerst her in three stages to maximise the yeild and get that light to the lower small bud sites over the next couple of weeks. Well I have cutting down the nutes that after this I will start to flush her. I think she still need like 12 to 14 days. But for now she is doing very fine. The smell is amazing and the Trichomes are showing so much! Well see ya next week again.😀

This thing gets bushy no matter how much I trim. Just letting her be and hopefully see some height this week. Got better bud clips and wire...

Started putting on all of its weight in last 2 weeks. Dense triangular shaped buds. At Least 1-2 more weeks I think. I did a final light defoliation to expose the buds that weren't getting much light. Try to fatten up what I can before chopping. Happy with how it's come so far.. one more week before I begin flushing.

Continued steady growth. Slight aroma appeared

Bud wet weight : 168,1g of trimmed medium to big sized buds 25,4g of tiny tiny buds/larfs = 193.5 grams of trimmed wet buds. Details on genetics and smoke report above. This, as my first grow, is way more than I ever expected it to be. I haven´t had that much fun and enthusiasm in a very very long time. I can´t even explain the feeling it is to harvest your own cannabis, but I know most of you know what I´m talking about haha. It was really nice to practice LST, even tho it was SO HARD, ´cause I didn´t had barely any space to work since I used a hard pot and did not fill nearly half the size of it and the walls of the pot were really high. It was even difficult to water without dropping water on the lower buds. I haven´t learnt much about defoliation tho, I feel I need to study a little more about the phases you should or should not do it. Also, I discovered thrips are a pain in the ass. I had 2 tough weeks dealing with thrips, but in the end it was alright. I don´t have any humidity control device, which I intend to buy for the next grows. Growdiaries was really helpful for me, it kept me motivated everyday (not that I wouldn´t have had it anyways), the Grow Questions are REALLY useful and all the community is awesome. Thanks to all people that helped me here on GD during this first grow! To conclude it: I am really happy and satisfied with how the grow turned out. They look incredible, it almost feels like I can´t believe it still. Peace. UPDATES: 07/10 : The buds are now dry and already in curing jars, one of them with a Boveda 58% humidity pack. The total grams of the dry buds are: 41.4g (medium to big sized buds) 4.1g (tiny buds) = 45.5 grams! I´m really happy with the results, I thought it would be around 30g so yeah, that´s a really good surprise! In 2 weeks I´ll be back to update the smoke report. Thanks so much for reading! Peace. 09/10 : I managed to fit everything in the same container with some space between them, so now every bud is with the Boveda pack. 14/10: It´s been a week and the smell improved, it still smells a little like hay/plant ( even tho it´s not too dry neither too wet ). 21/10: Now it´s been two weeks and even tho the smell isn´t anymore hay, it´s a lot herbal. I really think the aroma can get better, but the taste is already good enough for me. The smoke report has been done and in case I have something to add, I´ll report here. The plants are still growing at a good pace. Just finished their 1st week on 12-12. They definitely filled out so we went ahead and did like a 40 % defoliation to help the light get through all those branches. Waiting to see the start of the stretch and some more early signs of preflower. I was short on time or inwould have more up close shots of early signs, I'll edit mid week and update on how they bounced back from the trimming.
