I (pre-moistened) worked in 2.5 gallons of de-chlorinated tap water, with my fingers into this high-porosity soilless growing medium. This variant is very dry, and seems to reject water, until moistened(3cu ft compressed, Agro a5-hp from local nursery). Even after the 2.5 gallons of water was worked in (with no runoff), there was still a dry patch at the bottom of the pot.. I figured it would start to absorb from the wet medium on top, over time. It is now Day 10, and the moistened medium never needed to be watered since day 1. The medium is almost dry enough to be watered (see final picture). Maybe one or two more days. I will poke/scratch the soil daily, to ensure that I wait long enough, to not over-water.

Harvest: Everything dried up to 347 grams + 96 grams of super high quality trim. Overall I am not too pleased with the smoke of the product. Although the bud size, bag appeal, smell and taste are pretty much all there, the shitty burn is a deal breaker for me and the majority of this weed is quite frankly useless. Another downside is while smoking I’ve found 4 seeds in an ounce from almost every strain. Light leaks? At least I learned a ton, including how to get super good burn for my next crop. I’m hoping that curing for a month or so will improve the burn but I wouldn’t really count on it. I have seen weed dried for 4 days with no cure and no flush smoke clean and not go out once. I have been told that the key to white ashes/clean burn is proper mineral content in the soil and there is tons of scientific studies on cigar ash going back 100 years. Plants grown in a medium with high levels of decomposing organic matter, phosphorus, magnesium, chlorine and heavy metal ratio tend to produce black/grey ash. Whereas plants grown in a medium with a higher ratio of trace minerals like calcium carbonate and potassium in the form of wood ash, rock dusts, oyster shell flour and lower levels of decomposing organic matter will produce a dense, uniform white ash that rarely goes out. But this is still all theory until I test it to confirm for myself a few times. My last few outdoor harvests did not improve with curing at all so I’m hoping this will be the missing link. Plain peat moss and coco clearly lack essential minerals that help burn. If said theory is correct I should find a synthetic nutrient line with more trace minerals. Makes me wonder if growing if rockwool/basalt rock could improve burn in a hydro setup. I think I did a fairly decent job for my first grow. I went wrong in a million different places but I still stuck it out and got some decent herb. Things went wrong early when I got black spot mold, nitrogen/magnesium deficiencies and powdery mildew. I corrected most of it but things didn’t get really bad until mid veg when I intentionally skipped a few feedings and defoliated quite heavily stunting the plants. I also didn’t even top or start LST until the 6-9th node which was really stupid and hurt my yield. My temperatures were all over the place from the learning curve. I was severely overwatering without realizing it. 100% peat moss is a shitty medium. I also fed way too late in flower (not what caused shitty burn). I also used synthetic nutrients in soil. Day 64 - 30/12/19 yo whats up folks, hope you all had a good christmas, apologies for no updates over the last month i took a little break to rest up and get started again fresh! everything has been going great over the last month, i smoked my last plant all over christmas and it improved my mental health so much. anyways on to the final weeks of the diesel auto. when the plant went into flowering its constantly had minor issues with leaves yellowing and falling off. could be my ph pen again or it could be that the plants are growing into the light and getting bleached. its still producing really sticky buds and I started my flush yesterday (day 63) so yellowing is fine. In summary, Auto Purple by Pyramid Seeds offered a delightful visual experience with its natural color changes and fruity notes, marking a positive step into the realm of colorful strains. However, the persistent challenges in yield highlight the need for a nuanced approach to cultivation when dealing with autoflowering varieties.

One of the plants is budding nicely, I think the seeds were mixed as one is small and theres still two plants that aren't budding yet, other than that plants seem to be growing well, the plant that's budding smells Diesely/Sour with a bit of citrus [Not classing the growdiary as flowering yet as only one of the plants is flowering at the moment] I've also added some rope to some of the branches to pull them towards the ground and further into the light, will update with pictures when I next go water them The training seems to be having an effect already and some of the trained branches are growing upwards now

Huge growth this week , a week behind but taller than my blue dreamatic’ auto . Looking nice and healthy but I am running out of room could have done lots of lst on these babies but I just don’t have the space. Lots of tall stalks not just one main one . Loving this strain, very tolerant for new growers. All ears to feedback good and bad. 💚

Ayeeee this Diamond Belle is doing great! Ive been trying to find balance within touch sun light and not enough lol. I don't want to push her too hard in full sun all day. How ever she has been doing good these last few days outside. I'll keep her in shade every once in a while giving her a break. Ive gotten her on a good nutrient schedule. Ive also been adding sugar to my water when I'm watering just water. So it's sugar water. But ill be feeding every 3 days. With the Bloom booster and sugar. I go light. Cause light is more ✨️ 😌 Let's see how she does. Thankful. Get chu some beans @ beanpatchseeds.

Almost done here! What a journey. I’m gonna flush her tonight, even if the soil is still wet. I’m sorry I don’t have one extra week (2 weeks with Overdrive would be better), but the buds are big and fat now. Definitely time for a big flush.
