Humidity Day 40-45%, Night 60-65% Internodes are very close together. was hitting 450umol at seedling level making it absorb more than it can use, reduced to 280-300umol @18 hours as expected vertical growth increased. During the 18 hours of daylight the first 9 is highly saturated in blue, 5000 kelvin, the 9 hours thereafter are closer to 3000 kelvin. Last 9 hours dosed 280nm. Height is too far to cause damage. UVB light is not detected by plants in the same way other wavelength/colours are. UV cannot be measured using umol as it doesn't drive photosynthesis. The plant has tiny little sensors that get set off to even little amounts, dimer salt bridges, the UV decays these salt bridges, which initiate response. You don't need large/long exposure doses for the plant to recognize UV is present. What's an enzyme? Think of it like a multiplier, you can add an enzyme to any particular biological process to vastly increase its proficiency at a particular process. Cannabis plants take blue/violet light and use it to create an enzyme called "photolayse". This allows the plant to repair UV damage done to the plant using a process called excision repair, this repairs the damage at a much much faster rate than it could by itself. Repairing 100% damage. The key is the plant needs time to build a reserve of the repair enzymes before using it. This is replicated in nature as, by midday UV levels peak, the generally cooler mornings allow lifetime to build up. The problem I encountered was dosing with 280nm lights on or 1 hour after the lights were on. Photomorphogenesis, the plant plans for the future of its growth, if the wavelength is not present during growth then how can it plan accordingly? The very presence of UV changes parameters with which the plant will grow, light itself dictates the growth pattern of the plant. Not only that it can dramatically alter the regular terpene profile of a strain in unexpected ways. Gran daddy purple grown using 280nm can triple already high terpene linalool. Linalool is terpene best known for lavender, largely responsible for its beautiful smell. Trouble sleeping you say? Having tried Durban poison from a dispensary and reading about its levels of tetrahydrocannabivarin. I've always wanted to taste the difference UV would make to such an already stand-out strain such as Durban.

The plants are stressed AF and after more research from being here I'm seeing the problems. I got another fan and put it on the intake duct so that air was being actively pushed in rather than passively from the other fan which only takes air out. And then I got a photometer app called photone. So I fixed it until it read 100 on the PAR meter which the guys at the grow place told me was good. Now with this hygrometer I can pay attention to this and maybe set up alerts for when the VPD exceeds a certain range.

Day 99 Plant 2 has been harvested. She was plump! After trimming the fan leaves wet, she came in at a little over 900g wet. She has been drying for 3 days now. The smell is great, can't wait to try her. Plant 3 is still going strong. I will do a last light feed next watering to make sure the swell goes smoothly. Stunty is getting close to the finish line. Trichomes are about 1% amber, 10% clear and the rest cloudy. She has swollen a lot, and I needed to support her a bit. I think I will harvest her in 3-4 days from now. Looks like she is gonna a pretty big girl too.

Heyo, This is my Diary for the 2022 Dutch Passion Master Grower contest! The first weed plant I ever grew was Auto Ultimate by Dutch Passion, So I am very excited to grow another Autoflower from this seedbank! so far everything is smooth sailing, my germination took less than 2 days, and only 2 days later untill I had roots poking out, excited to see where she goes!

Plants look healthy, except for a few older leaves, which appear to have some issues. Added big bud this week, lots of bud sights on each plant.

Hi guys, At the end of the story, I am very happy with the whole cycle and finally the outcome, I almost killed everything in there 😂 The Black D.O.G is a great Indica dominant strain, with a short flowering period. I did have problems throughout the cycle overfertilizing the plant, even though, this strain in particular is the one that recovered better and gave me a precious final product. Iinfact, I kept almost all the flowers, just the super baby pop-corn went for bubble hash. I topped them, and then practiced LST training to help them growing wider. Probably if I wouldnt have messed up with the ferilizer I would have a much better final product, this time, talking about quantity and quality. The whole plants were dried for 18 days after which they were finished in jars for another 6 weeks, if I dont fell sooner. Really looking forward to grow this strain again Indoor, I'am amazed by the terpene profile and the amount of resin they produced, even under my terribles mistake! STRONG GENETIC! I would like to thank Grow Diaries for this amazingly-organized community they have created, where we all can learn a lot, and share something we really love. Thanks to everyone who stopped by and looked at the diary, squeezed the like button or comment the diary. 13/12 I'VE MADE MY FIRST RUN OF BUBBLE HASH! Very very happy with the end result, did not weight anything yet because is still wet big time, I lightly squeezed it a bit, before let it drying on parchment on a cardboard. The smell it's just absolutely crazy. I can smell strong citrus notes in the 120µm but the 90µm and 73µm explodes with crazy-sweet note. While the 25µm (did not use the 43µm) where I did collect most of the hash, smell like good and sweet hash, nothing crazy like the previous ones but a very buttery like consistency that makes me want to eat it like this...dont ask me why...even though I know you all probably felt this way too... Anyway, the paper sheet says it all about timing, washes and µm used for the extractions, but just in case I'll explain it down here. I have done 3 wash with different timing. 1º wash: 5 min only to get the most brittle trichome heads 2º wash: 10 min stardard 3º wash: 30 min to stock up a bit 😅 I could have done an extra wash for sure and get more out, but I was running out of time so...I will update with the dry weight, it was not the only wash I've done, that were just too many grades to weight up..so I chose to do it once all dry! Another week down. Getting ready for outdoors. Bringing them out during the day. And inside and night. Gonna start leaving them out a few nights a week on the warmer days The m:f ratio is equaling out to be much closer to 1:1 which is great. The clones I'm not giving as gifts could also make great backups for some of these. Most of my friends grow indoors so I give them the short and stocky phenos and I keep the tall lanky

So my new Mars Hydro FC-E1500 is here. Swaped the very old MarsHydro LED in the middle. Gave them a little bit more CalMag and for the 1st Wedding Cake Bio Grow. Very minimal trimming. I noticed that the leafs from the 2nd Wedding Cake are glossy like. I think it could be too much nitrogen. Stoped giving her Bio Grow 1 week ago. Thanks for all the answers, i will flush both the weddingcakes out and see how they react. Also measuring the run off EC and PH and also soil PH. 1/10/25 I like this community already 😁 you guys gave me such good answers to my grow question. So I measured soil PH roughly between 7 and 7,5 so alkaline. Not good. I flushed with Phed water 5,3 and measured PH of runoff at 6,6 and ppm at 1480 . Repeated, measured runoff PH 6,3 ; ppm 1210. Repeat, but with PHed 5,0 water, runoff PH 5,9 ppm 1010. Stoped. 1st WddngCake took 3 flushes with total of 30 l of water. 2nd Wddncake got a flush with 25 l of water at the end runoff PH aprox 5,9 ppm 990 . Gave them both Nematodes because i saw a reduction in fungus gnats that is good. Almost none flying around. Fingers crossed. 😊 1/11/25 Aprox. 24h from "The Big Flush" 😁 and they seem to be happier. Temp in tent 23 C and RH 44% - 48% . Also added a few photos of them after the flush. 1/12/25 Aprox. 48h after flush. They are doing very good. 1st WddngCake shows off more of her colors with splashes on the calyxes and sugar leafs. 2nd WddngCake stands tall and bulks the buds up. I also noticed that Pheno 1 WddnCake has a fruitty creamy like sweat smell and the 2nd Pheno ,the tall girl, reminds me of a tropical IPA, fruity , fresh and pungent like cousin hops. Also the end of this week, today, looking forward at the week ahead. In the tent 22 C at the moment with 50% RH because i let the mars hydro ventilators off for the day. they are back on now.
