Ginger Nut Cookies & Aussie Music Videos Week 16 Harvest 17 th April 2020 This Entire feminised seed making and growing project was a very good learning experience for me. Right from the very start, when I successfully got a Cutting ,taken from a Barneys Farm Red diesel female plant to produce feminised pollen after treating it with a silver thiosulfate solution. I then used it to pollinate a Fastbuds Girl scout cookies auto plant and let it grow to maturity. This only produced 3 viable seeds one of which is the subject of this Diary. I made up the name "Ginger nut cookies" after a variety of cookies we have here in Australia that are made with ginger. They are the same colour as the distinct red hairs on the red diesel buds. And would you believe those same vivid red hairs were passed on to this plant so I wasn't too far off the mark with the strain name. Her flavour however is nothing like red diesel or girl scout cookies and infact as taken on a smell and aroma all of it's own. She has a lovely tropical fruit like taste and the smell is a bit like fruit yoghurt. It has an unreal after taste on the exhale and the lingering second hand smoke smells very sweet and enticing. She has a pretty well balanced high too not as potent as the GSC nor as energenic as the red diesel but just a pleasant mix of the two. It was a very easy to grow and undemanding plant that didn't seem to require a lot of extra feeding other than the 100% organic nutrients that were within the soil and a few things like compost teas etc. The other element of this diary was of course the weekly Aussie music videos That I provided the links for and put up a little video clip preview of each Artists song. week 6 seeing strong new growth in both plants, trying to contain vertical growth with low and high stress training before I add the double layer trellis netting next week. started roots by heavy 16 at 1 ml per gal, and i have foliar 2 times past week (once every 3 days) heavy 16 foliar at 40 ml /1 l (breaks down to 4 ml per 100 ml of water, mist about 50 mls on bottoms of plants then all over an hour after lights turn off. did some defoliation on lower fans to allow light penetration to potential mid level tops

I yielded just over half pound dry 10oz and abit to be exact not to bad off 2 plants that I could of let go a little longer. The absolutely reak of Gas terpenes very different for me but very enjoyable

Flowering day 19 since the time change to 12/12. Hey all together 😀. This week she has developed beautifully ☺️. I poured it 3 times with 1.2 l this week. Tomorrow I will add the 2 g GHSC Powder Feeding Bio Bloom because the first blossoms are coming :-). I checked all the leaves thoroughly for pests or diseases and everything is fine ☺️. Next week I'll look at your roots as soon as the coconut is completely rooted. As every week, the tent was cleaned and the entire technology checked. The humidifier was also refilled every day 👍. Obvious indicas starting to bulk. sativas still stretching.. Started upping additives for resin and terpene production. Not sure if it's worth it on unknown strains, but giving it a go anyway.. Getting problems in the kratky..Changed over to using vitaponix (bought a sample pack) - and am getting what looks like root rot.. Ai is now telling me it could be a good time to lower my Canna a to 2.5mlpl and keep b at 4mlpl. to lower nitrogen intake. give that a go next week. Have combined week 4&5 pics.

Had to go to new orleans for 5 days, my auto-irrigation setup failed and was barely giving water to the plants , they grew slower than they could have, so i may have stunted a bit of their growth this week. Despite that, they seem healthy and buds are on one of them are starting to mature. The other 3 are close behind. I posted a video of the timelapse during the time that my auto-irrigation failed. You can see the spurts of growth from a faulty irrigator only releasing a miniscule amount of water. This resulted in the plant slowly wilting, then exploding in growth when a tiny amount of water was released. (about a cup every two days, for about a week.) Otherwise, been watering when pots dry out, then a full runofof fill carbon filtered tap water (un-phed) treated with 3mg per gallon cal-mag suppemented Besides that, no nutrients have been added because I've been using FFOF, and the soil is WAY too hot. Will not use again

Day 22 25/07/24 Thursday Still no Feed/water since Tuesday. Been a humid and overcast two days so not as much evaporation as normal. All plants happy and healthy 💚 Video updates Day 23 26/07/24 Friday De-chlorinated watering pH 6 with 5ml calmag to 5L water. Watered each with 250ml and had small run off. I will continue to feed/water with small run offs to help prevent salt build ups. Video update. Day 26 29/07/24 Monday Nice feed today, using de-chlorinated tap water pH 6. They each had 300ml with small run off. All looks incredibly happy and healthy! The Auto Kabul that was mutated and twisted has pulled herself through and is just a bit shorter than the others. Day 28 31/07/24 Wednesday End of week😁 De-chlorinated water pH 6 today with Plagron pk13-14 5ml to 5L Plagron power buds 5ml to 5L Used 300ml of the 5L solution. I will be using these on water days from now on as they are advised to be used every irrigation. We'll see how they perform 💪💚
