Hey now, hope everyone is having a great weekend and staying safe. Another great week for the ladies, as they are now about 3 weeks into flower, and the stretch has just finished. I am still feeding them silica, cal mag, and flower nutrients maxi bloom by GHE. I did start to add a PK booster this week pushing the EC up to 1.4. I also will be switched the light from V1 to the F1 Spectrum at the beginning of this week, and will be integrating the UV/IR bar into the light cycle later this week. I will run the UV/IR bar for approximately 30 minutes prior to lights off to get started. The tallest plants are the Sundae Driver and the Durban Nights at 42" and the Red Hot Cookies is the shortest plant at 38" however they all look happy and healthy and capable of easily giving up a half pound each. The 5X5 is really starting to fill up nicely, I am running two dehumidifiers outside of the tent and I am able to maintain around 50% RH in the tent during lights on, and around 55% RH with lights off. We did get an unexpected heat wave this weekend and it has been a struggle keeping the heat and humidity down but the flowers are just starting so no need to worry about mold or anything like that yet. As soon as this heat wave is over the temps should be good to go the rest of the way this is by far the best time of year to be flowering plants in my region. I did defoliate twice this week and I may do one or two more rounds before just letting them do their thing. Not much to do from here on out except make sure the reservoir is full and the PH is in the proper range. Almost there ..... 4 weeks to go... a little strange because I switched my super loud noisy ass metal 4 inch inline fan for a plastic 4 inch VORTEX brand inline fan and its great for being stealth but I noticed I developed a rust spore problem which is an air circulation issue I have my ph perfect and nutes dialed in I even started cleaning my roots with cannazyme its a dead roots nutrient that enhances the breakdown of old roots and keeps things regular. Now I am just dealing with strange orange colored rusty leaves but the bud development is great and stickier and stinkier than ever .... 4 weeks left for these baby's to swell up and puff out looking forward to this dry chop and trim then the final cure.....

I have flushed the runoff to EC 3.0 I have added 0.1 ml of Advance Silica I have also added 5 ml per 10 l of water in the Autopot system Received the Co2 bag and I have done some DIY co2 with sugar and yeast.

Week2 of flowering and this baby is really stretching. She’s the tallest one in the tent 🏕️. And the smell of mango is great. I had to cut a lot of fan leaves off her for more light penetration. Lot of bud sites, can’t wait to see how she fills out.😎

Wet paper towel germination process took about two days for them to sprout a little bit and going to transplant on Christmas

- I didn't weight wet buds. - The trichomes photos have been taken just before the harvest on buds all over the plant. - First time I see and have pink trichomes, they are beautiful! - The hash ball was a little less than 1cm diameter and was really good :) - Drying was made at 20°C and around 50% of humidity. - Humidity in jar between 60 and 65% on the first day, temperature around 20°C. Veg time : 56 days. Flowering time : 63 days. Total time from seed to harvest : 119 days. Height : 81cm Pot size : 26l

The one plant that has always been under the cobbs is a couple of weeks ahead. They are all fattening up and the smell is great. Humidity in the tent has dropped, this is due to the outside weather changing and running a 6" fan 24/7. I may start the flush on the one plant, will decide in a few days. Cheers

Started a little training, cut down the older fan leaves and topped up. I’m adding a tiny bit of root stimulator cause changed the pot size last week so it will to promote a faster growth. Gotta keep this lady low cause the box is quite small. So excited 😆

First grow of my life. Have a very basic and mostly DIY setup but so far (day 6) seedlings have kept a consistent growth and have initiated their set of second serrated leaves. Should have two full sets by tmr evening (end of day 7). I noticed that they were very dark and slightly droopy. started giving them bit more to drink and they have responded well. To all exp growers, any constructive comments, advice etc would be great. Plz refrain from commenting if all you have is hate to share! Stay safe friends!

Day late on the update, pics/vids were taken on time tho just been a crazy week of harvests and trimming and keeping up with these. Reason I went with Rain Science is because they offer identical air flow for rapid growth as the radicle bags, just using a different material and a tighter knit so water doesnt flood out the sides during feeds and when you pick these up when the coco is dry, it wont fly all over the tent like with the radicles. They're the optimal bag for autoflowers especially. These 2 are doing great should get interesting in the next few weeks. I actually ran 3 of these in 1 gallon pots a few months ago and 2 atleast came out pretty good so the bus shots are from the 2nd pheno of those.

Week 8 of flower is in the books and this show is quickly coming to an end. I said last week we had about 7-10 days and I was spot on at the 10 day mark. I was only wrong about the order. The cheese is ready to chop before the rest and the gorilla cookies, cherry Bomb and lemon haze will follow in due course. The cheese is a beast and it’ll take a little time to get it all run through the bowl trimmer. At least the big one goes first. Her tallest colas have foxtailed like mar, despite the late supercrop. You can tell where the sweet spot for the light is at about 10” distance from the canopy. Any closer than that and the tails begin to show prominently. It’s a good example of just how close you can get to these fixtures with a little bit of prior experience. It’s been noted for the next run😎👍😎. The res. is on an h2o2 only flush for the remainder until the rest are ready to come down. Not a moment too soon either - the pollen chucking project has stalled out waiting for these girls to finish and now that we’ll have a little extra room, we can start running our cuts in the aerocloner🤟. Not long at all now folks. Thanks for tagging along through all this. Learned a bunch about this system and we’re back to hardware mode to make some serious improvements for the next run🤙😎. I love hardware mode😉. Background/Repetitive Nonsense The strain line up on this grow is look’n quite saucy 😈. We’ve got 2 FB strains this time around - Gorilla Cookies (seems we always have some GSC cross in the works). Mainly because the colours look stellar and remind me of a sugar breathe we did last year that was 🔥. The other FB is their original Cheese strain... because we already smoked all our cheese... and we really like our cheese...😉. Emerald triangle was kind enough to include a freebie of Lemon Haze. Wasn’t really big on the list but we haven’t done a haze strain to write home about yet so worth a go👍. The last is a Cherry auto from Bomb seeds that we’ve been trying to get to for months. These folks were kind enough to discuss a collaboration and as a result, here we are to test out the gear with an inaugural run of autos. Each week, we’ll try to expand on some of the benefits of each, as well as any limiting factors or considerations that need attention when pondering purchase. Already I can say that both are high quality products in terms of overall craftsmanship. MarsHydro 2x4 Grow Tent: Excellent construction in terms of durability. Reinforced stitching on the zippers and corners ensures zero tearing. Conveniently placed screen vents and intake/exhaust ports. The ceiling exhaust port only exists on the right side. Perfect for me but not great if you’re running exhaust from the top on the left side (left side wall port makes up for this however). The aluminum frame is rigid enough to support the weight of the lights and accessories. Once you have some weight in the tent, she’s go’n nowhere and you can assemble and break it down in record time if moving or stashing the grow op. Only limiting factors I’ve noticed is that temp. Control will be an issue for a tent. It just doesn’t have the same insulating ability as a wood cabinet or other permanent enclosed space. No worries, this is offset by a small desktop heater and keeps the environment exactly where desired. The other issue was a production problem - the ceiling vent was accidentally stitched into the corner seams on the assembly line. Again, no real issue - just pulled it out with no damage or fraying to the tent or port👍. Closest comparable to it that I’ve seen would be spiderfarmers line of qbs. They feature the same top-o-the-line components and roughly similar spectrums. Where VS takes the advantage is in the convenience of the dimmer nob which is easily accessible and works great at 50% with no strobing👍. The heat sink is also larger which contributes to lower temps. That’s not a good thing in my case but beneficial for most folks. I can already say that this will be a great fixture through all stages of growth. Where I know this light will excel will be in the veg. Stage for sure. Dimming function gives seedlings a much better chance of success with the ability to use lower lighting levels early on and the coverage area on a 240w is great. The average grower will find this panel suitable and fitting to their needs in a 2x4 grow space although I’d suggest 2 units if going any larger than that. The total output in this space equates to about 30w/sq.ft. Which is a decent amount of coverage based on power vs. Growprint. Ideal for veg. Certainly but, in flower - I tend to run closer to 50-60w/sq.ft to achieve higher yields. Again, similar fixtures have performed admirably in the past and while this wouldn’t be considered an “entry-level” fixture, I’d recommend that any grower new to the game not skimp on lighting and start with one of these. The price points are a great value for quality LED tech. These days, so there’s little reason to even consider a lesser fixture👍. I have no detail on limiting factors for this light as yet but have heard that stock branded fixtures don’t necessarily incorporate enough red diodes. I’ve seen no issue myself but confess - I’m no lighting guru. Another nice week of beautiful weather. Have been on total cruise control this week on a little water here and there. Did some topping and super cropping. Not much at all to report the fast buds are in full flower and doing well. Happy growing folks🤙🏻
