Saw some explosive growth this week. Some signs of preflower. The broken stem plant is very stressed, while the other is thriving. Did first round of defoliation, went a tad overboard perhaps. Going to try and do a minor lollipop once I get some small buds going. Starting adding some silica blast for stem strength, fish shit for soil microbial life, and sugars to help nutrient intake. RO water, having to PH down to 6-6.5 now that I'm using the silica blast. Stopped the sns209, no signs of pests. Added another fan (total 3) and bug catcher (total 2). *I am growing 4 plants here, but only tracking one.

Left with 3 plants showing pistils, #s1, 4 and 5 😁. #2 was the largest and best looking of the plants but 'a soh it goh' 😉. All plants recovering well from recent phytotoxicity. Fed twice in past week with 12 ml/gallon CAB. Plants show no ill effects to Cytokin treatment and seem to like it. Have to move ties daily to accommodate growth. Signs of leafminers on a few leaves. Sunday, 06.03.2022 A little rain fell Saturday afternoon but pots not overly moist. Fed with Recharge at 5 ml/gallon and remainder of Ph'd water. Ph measurement via Ph paper was still hot, 5.0~, so I repeated same method of adding 500 ml tap water to jug and topping up with acidified water, following the principle of adding acid to water and not vice versa 😉.

Week #9 of flowering is done, great week this week, still inching closer and closer to harvest day, all of the ladies except for the largest will start their flush today, I’d like to push that out to atleast 10-14 days if possible, this will insure I get a beautiful fade into harvest as well as mouth watering tastes and aromas coming off this flower, however with using final phase I’ve learned I can execute a proper and tasty flush in just 7 days if needed. Everyday I feel the smells are getting more and more intense becoming a hassle for my 4” carbon filter to keep up. Hopefully we continue to finish strong this last week or two! It will be exciting 😍

Some old autos I’ve been working on crossing for awhile. Making the switch back to coco so just doing a small LST test run and a cheap drip emitter system. Did the old paper towel method in a Tupperware container placed onto a heating pad with 100% sprouted. Started on a very diluted feed. Letting them get anchored and will switch to bottom feeding for my first few feeds to get the roots chasing the moisture to build a solid root system early, then back to the top drip system. 8/19/23 - Day 67 - Things are still looking good. We just had a water change. A couple more weeks! 8/21/23 - OK, ok ok, we have a lot of work coming up. Right now is like the calm before the storm. The storm I'm talking about is harvest, trimming, drying, and curing. This is the kind of labor that you LOVE to HATE. Especially with how many buds ill be pulling from this LEAF box. Let's talk about progress real fast. She is getting bulkier every day. Overnight she drank about 300+ ppm of nutes. She likes the nutes a lot. I'm taking this as a reason for all the little snowy crystals and the enlargement of the buds. Flushing: For about a week before harvest I will empty the water+Nutes and refill only with Water. We want the plant to suck up and replace all the nutes in the buds with water. This is called flushing. Trimming plans and Tools: When it's time to trim the plant, I've got a plan in mind. I'm going to trim the buds while they're still wet, and I'll leave them attached to the stems. To simplify the drying process, I will split the LEAF into two parts – the top and the bottom. Since space is a bit tight in the LEAF with this grow, I will keep just the buds on the branches. This will help the air circulate the buds better. I've even found this cool trimming tray on Amazon that I'm planning to use. I've realized that having the right tools for trimming is essential. Just like I'd put on gloves to work on a car, I will use nitrile gloves to keep things clean while trimming. And I'll use proper trimming scissors instead of regular ones. These scissors are designed for this job and should make the process much smoother. Amazon - Trimming Tray - (somewherr brand pictured above) Amazon - Nitrile Gloves Amazon - Trimming Scissors Drying Plans and Tools: Once I'm done trimming, it's time to dry the buds. I'm thinking of using simple tension rods, like those small shower curtain rods, to hang the branches. This way, I can create two levels inside the drying box. The lower part can rest on a SCROG net to ensure good airflow and even drying for all the branches. The LEAF box will handle the drying parameters. The environment inside the LEAF box will focus only on keeping the humidity at 60% and moving the air around getting the buds to a non-mildew amount of humidity. Amazon - Tension rods 16-28” Curing Plans and Tools After the buds are dry (60% humidity), the next step is curing. This means I'll be storing the buds in sealed glass jars. I've got mason jars and hygrometers to monitor humidity levels. Once the jars are filled with buds, I'll seal them and put them in an cool, dark spot. I plan to open the jars briefly every day to let in some fresh air. (15min). I'll know the curing is done when the humidity inside the jars stays around 62% during these "burps." I put my arm in there through the Weed forest, and when my arms came out, I was attacked by the Skunk BOSS. I had to shower and change my outfit to eliminate the smell. D29: Pistils are clearly showing now. She's looking really good and vigorous. I did notice a (very) small number of brown pistils. Might be from being a little bit careless while doing LST and toching it with the iron wire, could that be? Or could there something else going on? Speaking of LST, from now on I'm going to let the main cola grow upward again. I kept her really low to give the lower branches enough space, and I think that's the case now. I also tucked away most of the fan leaves that were blocking the light of certain tops. I think I'm going to plant her out in full ground by the end of the week. Temperatures are supposed to be 20+°C then. Any thoughts about that? D31: I decided to let it stay in its current pot, in order not to stress the roots right before flowering. She still keeps on growing every day, still at a surprisingly high pace. Also, I'm tucking away the fan leaves and other leave that are blocking the sunlight from the tops. Tomorrow it's watering time again, right before the start of week 6. Since I'm only watering her after the soil is almost dried out, I'm probably not watering her for another 5-6 days. My question now is what fertilisers I should be adding. There's already 60g of granular 6-3-3 fertiliser in it (added over the past two weeks), so I won't be adding any more of that anymore. I have phosphorous grains (6-16-0), and potassium grains (2-0-20) and I'm wondering if I should already add those potassium grains or just stick with phosphorous grains this time and add potassium grains next watering when it's (probably by then) just started flowering. Any advice?

Week 17 for Gelato 41 by seedstockers, All photos were taken on 0.5x because the plant just doesn't fit in the picture frame... She's getting too big😂 I just want her to flower now i don't think i can take her getting any bigger than she currently is. Last week was another hot hot week but we are coming down to the low 30's again for the rest of the upcoming week so think the plants will be happier. Im not sure whether to just leave her be & not defoliate but at this point learning as i go along because ive never grown something so large. 😅
