3rd flower week complete. I cant help but think I've ruined one of the 2 girls. Shes taking a really long time to recover and bud growth is slow and steady. I've defoliated for about an hour and a half tonight and now really need to get some sleep! I'll pop back tomorrow with lots more photos and a more in depth update on what has changed this week. Update........ so ive been caring for the burnt up plant throughout the week. Shes not gotten any worse but just seems a little stressed now. I decided to remove the worst of the burnt and dried up leaves last night. I know it will also cause stress but I didn't want the rotting leaves to cause any bacteria growth around the healthy plants. They've been on everyday waterings at around 1.6 EC. I've included some Hygrowzyme in the last few feeds in the hope some beneficial enzymes may help the root zone take on nutrients. Despite one of the pair being unwell the other is healthy and vigorous. Shes not getting the attention she rightly deserves so I've included lots of photos to this weeks diary. I wouldn't want anyone to be put off from growing this strain as it has so much potential. I'm hoping that the healthy plant produces the goods and leaves me wanting more.

Auto Opium week 8 8/11-17 For my outside ladies, Opium, Auto Opium, Fractal, and Lemon Cake not much changed. They continue lovin life outside. These ladies are maturing as many fans are yellowing and falling off. Temps are comfortable following Storm Debbie., in the 80 with low humidity Auto Opium is thin and spindly, branches continue to bend so I added hoop supports. I sure hope she makes it to the end in one piece. If necessary, I remove the colas and chuck into the freezer.. Buds are fattening up, trichomes are minimal at this time but some fragrance is starting to be noticed. Day 56 Pulled about 10 leaves that were showing some deficiency. It's an 86 day strain so it's not fade. Top dress is supposed to last 2 weeks, it's been 11 days so she is hungry 3 days early. She was hungry earlier than expected on the last top dressing as well. I will top dress tomorrow. All flower nutes, no castings. Day 57 From Seed Top dressed with 5Tbls of Flower Girl and 1Tbls of Tomato & Vegetable nutes. Watered in between 6.0 & 6.5 PH. Water had a heavy dose of Fish Sh!t. Day 60 Top dressed 2Tbls of Garden Lime with 5.5PH water. The Garden Lime raises soil PH by .5, hence the lower PH water. At least I hope that's the way it works. Trichomes are developing, still no smell. Day 61 Watered with organic coconut water and spring water 50/50 PH between 6.0 and 6.5. Preparing Roots Organic Bloom tea for Day 65.

So she grew 26cm this week... Over doubling her height!!!!!!!! I think she's just entered flowering. All in all, she's growing well 😎

The problem encountered during the growth : - Water (at the beginning) too little pumps that didn’t propagate the water equally so I went for a bigger industrial pump that pumps equally in the whole tent. 
 - RC : Some problems with the humidity at the beginning but got sorted out when I got the de humidifier
 - Babies almost died mid-grow, came in with the ultimate save of the day, one day later and it was over. 
 - Had a problem with the container that held the water as water was empty when I’d get back at the end of the week (during flowering mode) so I went with a 120L container which works just fine. 
 - Didn’t flush properly because I was in a rush

They got a nice new cabinet with lights and environment dialed just for veg. -Built a nice Veg/Dry cabinet from scrap. Pretty damn happy with myself...not gonna lie. 😅 I decided to just dive right in with some solid plant shaping. Still pushing slower than my previous run...but these 2 can take some serious LST with a good nutrient load. Impressive how fast they look back to that light. So far the organic run is performing better; how ever I didn't scorch the tits off these girls with a massive LED hammer when they were 14 minutes old either, so there's that. 😂😶 I'll have a true comparison of Organic Home Brew Ferts v Store Bought Ferts with the same strain here this winter...get actual data. Also: CannaBudget Studios was built with an old broken tri-pod / usb strip lights / old black sheet...and electrical tape. Yeeee. Time to go work on the farm. Hello growers and tokers! 👋 👩‍🌾 🧑‍🌾.🔥💨 Well! Their time has come, this was their last photo shoot after week 10 of life cycle and right before harvest. We've come to an end of this balcony experiment. Had loads of fun watching these two ladies grow in my balcony. They only received 5 hours of direct sunlight each day. (09h - 14h) So to be honest I wasn't expecting this size and density with such little hours of direct sunlight. This strain is easy to grow and doesn't need much attention. Chopped them on day 73 of life cycle (day 52 of bloom) Both have a nice dense cola, one is thicker while the other smells much more potent. Decent amount of trichomes given the circumstances and blazing heat these past weeks. All in all they look gorgeous, smell great and I'm satisfied with the results. Now to dry and get cured. Then comes the taste testing. I'll update this diary with final weight, photos and all that good stuff as soon as they're done. Stay tuned, stay safe and happy growing! 😃
