Week 2: Light Struggles, First Adjustments & the Patience Test Update: 14.03.25 Good morning, grow fam! Week 2 of my photoperiod journey is running – a mix of challenges and small wins. Here’s a look at the early days of my Blueberry and Durban Poison seedlings. Current Observations: Light Deficiency & Stretching Stems The first days post-germination were intense: The seedlings developed extremely long, thin stems (check the photos!), a clear sign of insufficient light. Since I’m intentionally avoiding extra lighting to save resources, I had to improvise: - Tray Rotation: I rotate the seedling tray multiple times a day to ensure even exposure to the weak March sunlight. - DIY Support: For the most stretched seedlings, a bent wire acts as a crutch to prevent them from collapsing. Interestingly, the tomato and cucumber plants in the same tray show no issues – their stems stay compact. Seems like veggies are better adapted to low-light conditions than cannabis! Nutrients & Alfa Boost: An Experiment Even though my Biobizz Lightmix should provide enough nutrients for the first weeks, I tested a sample of Alfa Boost (freebie from the grow shop) during watering. The product claims to boost roots and stress resistance – perfect for my light-stressed babies. So far, no negative reactions, but no explosive growth either. Slow Growth – No Cause for Concern The plants are growing just millimeters per day, but that’s okay. My focus is on building sturdy, resilient plants, not speed. Once days get longer and sunnier, growth should pick up. They’ll stay indoors until mid-May anyway – plenty of time to bulk up. Next Steps & Tweaks - Transplanting in 1–2 Weeks: Once the first true leaf pairs emerge, they’ll move to small pots with my Biobizz All-Mix blend. - First Topping Soon: Once the plants hit 4–5 nodes, I’ll top them to encourage bushier growth. Week 2 Takeaway: Patience is key! Even in suboptimal conditions, I trust Dutch Passion’s resilient genetics. Fingers crossed for greener progress next week. Hoping to see lots of bud densing this coming week. The smell of the terps this morning was crazy. A bit over 3 more weeks, I can't wait. Day 44 update: Leaf yellowing has definitely been slowed, and senescence of lower yellowed leaves has also seemed to stop. Some leaves that continue to be of concern are particularly those accumulating anthocyanins, likely due to my low night time temps. I think they are doing very well, with some very minor problems. This cycle is in the winter for me, so the humidity and temps has been low, but I am happy to not have had to deal with pests or mold like in previous cycles. Day 45 update: broke out the loop today to inspect the trichs, still looking very immature, as expected given there is still a few weeks left until the planned harvest date. Today I watered in a 1/4dose of Buildabloom, some quillaja, pineapple fpj, and some rootwise enzyme elixer.

Watered with recharge ph 6.00 Granddaddy purple not top dressed late into flower already North thunderfuck not top dressed. Do not like the slow growth, structure, amount of leaf in veg. Hoping m for big stretcher or bud packer

Vamos familia que ya actualizamos la cosecha de estas Candy Rain de Zamnesia, para el concurso POWER BUDS Plagron x Zamnesia CONTEST. Ya era hora de cosechar, estoy bastante contento con los resultados. Vaya flores que se han marcado repletas de tricomas, y las flores se marcan aromas dulces y afrutados. Es una variedad bastante fácil de cultivar y muy resistente, crecieron desde el principio bien vigorosas, sin problemas y al final de todo recompensó. Las condiciones ambiéntales han sido máximas en 25 y mínimas en 20 y una humedad estable en torno al 36% al final de floración y en el secado. End of week 7, beginning of week 8. Hopefully I have a good grasp on feeding, if not can someone please help me. I'll post my last 3 feedings. Bruce Banner watered/fed on 8/10/22 with 5ml cal mag, 7ml flora nova bloom, 3.5 ml amino acids, 6ml fish shit, 1/2 tsp great white. Mixed together it had a ph of 5.9, 939ppm and 1.9EC. Runoff had 6.3ph, 1.1 EC and 539 ppm. Also removed 52 fan leaves 8/13/22 Bruce Banner defoilated today and watered. Watering had 6.4ph, .8ec and 380ppm. Mixed 5ml cal mag, 6 ml fish shit, 1.5tsp flora nova bloom, 3.5ml amino acids and great white. Fed with 6.0ph, 936ppm and 1.9ec Runoff had 6.5ph, 569ppm and 1.2ec 8/15/22 Bruce Banner watered with 1 gallon distilled water ph'ed 5.9. The runoff had 6.5ph, 466ppm and .8ec. I fed with 5ml cal mag, 6ml fish shit, 1.5tsp flora nova bloom, 3.5ml amino acids, 1/2tsp great white, which had a 5.8ph, 966ppm and 1.9ec. The runoff was 6.4ph, 578ppm, 1.2ec. 8/17/22 Bruce Banner water with 5.2 ph water. Runoff was 6.5ph, .8ec and 399ppm. 5ml cal mag, 8ml flora nova bloom, 3.5ml amino acids, 6ml fish shit, 1/2 tsp great white. 2.0ec, 1011ppm and 4.9ph. Runoff had 6.3ph, 557ppm and 1.1ec

Wk 5 was Steady Away, Explosive growth starting, Transplanted one from aero to coco and added Began the Scrog As you may have noticed, I Expanded the garden to give the coco girls some more room. The Dawg in the aero wasn't taking well at all, she hadn't really had a good innings from the beginning. I transplanted her into the coco and Fed her very week nutes..
