I've been defoliating slowly trying to keep them small due to a house inspection coming up. Once that's out the way I'll put them in bigger pots then switch to flower. They all outgrew the mutated start and are looking good.

How did you create/breed Freakshow? A. Methodical selection, line breeding, and culling is the short answer. Read our About page for more details. Q. Is it an indoor or outdoor type? A. Everything I've ever worked has been outdoors, including of course Freakshow. It has been our experience that outdoor (or sun grown, as it's recently being referred to) cultivars seem to perform extremely well under artificial conditions. The opposite is not always true; indoor clones often give an outdoor grower headaches because they don't always make the transition smoothly. The exact heritage of any cultivar today is impossible to determine accurately. Also, considering the amount of continuous shameless hybridization that has occurred in the last 40 yrs., any modern kind could easily contain over 40 kinds. In the case of Freakshow, it's much more limited because the ancestry is largely older "Sativas" that didn't go through as much outcrossing. In the 70s in Santa Cruz, Haze was a favorite among surfers for the pure energy and I still have (greatly improved) stock of it around, simply because even when I made hybrids with it I always kept the original in pure form for obvious reasons. Q. What is the psychoactive effect like? A. Like the flavors, many people have commented that the "buzz" is somewhat different than other mainstream types out there. It's not entirely out of the scope of imagination that given that this strain has new alleles in so many other respects, that it could also contain new, unique cannabinoids, as well as new and unique terpenoids, some of which may not even be among the standard 16 or so that the average lab is testing for. Aside from the up, cerebral, energetic boost, some report a mild time/space warp effect. Creativity and idea induction should be mentioned, for sure. Freakshow has the pure energy effect and greatly alters perception to the positive side, so definitely destroys depression. Appetite suppression is a side effect, but the enjoyment of food is enhanced. I personally will attest to all of the above. We all have different receptor profiles, so these are just generalizations. Couch unlock. Q. Is it pest and mildew resistant? A. Indeed it is. On many occasions in the last few years, it has been observed that when pest and mildew issues were affecting other plants adjacent to in the vicinity of Freakshow plants, for unknown reasons the freaks remained entirely unaffected. This includes 0botritis, PM, various mites and insects, soil fungus, etc. We haven't heard any complaints along those lines so far, so if anyone has any problems, especially with a rigorous IPM regimen in place, we would like to hear about it. And if anyone can attest to the extreme level of resistance it seems to have we'd love to hear about that as well. Q. Does it contain web-leaf genetics? A. I thought I better clarify this because there are a few people thinking that because of an article "Growing Marijuana that Doesn't look like Marijuana" that mentions that I had worked web-leaf types years ago and had eventually turned that into Freakshow. This is incorrect and I'm needing to get ahold of the writer to have him change it. When I read the piece and saw the mistake I figured it didn't matter that much, that the actual method of breeding could just remain a "trade secret". Recently, I noticed online that a posting, "Freakshow only exists because of duckfoot" by Curious Cannabis Connoisseur, where he explains how I developed Freakshow using Duckfoot. Let me explain, about 20 yrs. ago a friend gave me a jar of seeds labeled "BC Bigbud" and I sprouted flats of hundreds to look for oddities and had found one web-leaf pheno which we named Webster. It was a female so I bred it to a normal leaf male and began selecting and stabilizing a line of Webster. About 5 or 6 generations later I had nailed it to 100% webs and had also stabilized it for a deep purple color and a nice "gingerbread" terp profile. I was busy working other lines at that point so I put Webster in the library. Also, I was having a hell of a time getting a pheno of it that flowered to my satisfaction. (it seemed to finish with a limited number of calyxes). I knew I would have to outcross it to something with a big tasty bud and restabilize it for web-leaf, and I no longer had the original BC Bigbud. I still have the Webster seeds, and trust me the thought has crossed my mind to make the cross with Freakshow, but why? Why mess around crossing things just to create something even weirder? I have heard that the "Duckfoot" also doesn't bud up well so maybe there's a correlation there. Anyway, people can do what they want to and I will too, but crossing Freakshow with some low-THC crap like ABC is in my opinion idiotic. I worked extremely hard stabilizing and perfecting a beautiful new subspecies and I believe it should be kept pure. I won't go on a rant here about the rampant crossing and the lack of line-breeding in the cannabis world in the last several decades, or where this will eventually lead us, but I will say that it's not in a good direction. Bottom line....Freakshow has no web-leaf genes, it was made using top-grade tropical narrow-leaf drug (NLD) cultivars. Q.Why is Freakshow patented? A. Although I and most others (including all the folks at HSC) believe in and subscribe to the concept of "open sourcing" because sharing in cannabis genetics was always the cultural norm, it was decided that Freakshow should be protected (1) because it is a novel and unique, not a preexisting strain (or even subspecies), (2) To keep the greedy corporate big boys from exploiting it, (3) To maintain control of the genetic refinement of it in all future generations. Welcome to 📅Day 36 flower 4/19/2021 we are now fully into flower and she is looking good. I think maybe I may need to increase the cal-mag a bit as it looks like there is a slight deficiency but she is still healthy. The Mars hydro TS 1000💡 is working great and I now have it at 100%. That's all for this weeks first update Happy growing and keep your stick on the ice 🏒 Update 📅Day 40 flower 4/23/2021 she is growing fast and looking great under the Mars Hydro TS 1000 I made a little change in the auto pot and added a an air stone into each pot and a new 2 port air pump to go with it this will keep the solution moving in the bottom of the pot so that the surface does not get grimy and potentially get contaminated and thus harm the plants. It also has the bonus of adding more air to the solution

Flowering beginning of week 5

So this was my first grow, way back in 2013. Literally a seed I placed in the ground, hidden behind my water tank and the fucker went out of control. Not too sure if it was taken at 24 weeks, all I know is this plant lived a full life. I had to tie her down about half way into the grow as she was just getting too damn big. Fertiliser? Well nothing but seasol and power feed was used. Virtually no love at all was given to this plant, everything was kept simple. More smoke than I could handle from this crop anyhow, so many ounce bags of weed were given away to many happy mates. Still took a couple of years to vape my way through what I kept. I vacuumed sealed and place in my dedicated dope fridge to ensure longevity. Seriously a top notch smoke, the taste was amazing, the stoned even better. I can only dream that my current outdoor grow will get to this size, but being in a pot it will be restricted for sure but still bountiful. How bountiful is yet to be seen. Check it out if u have the time. Seeing the size of this and my current plant, has made me decide that I will no longer bother with autoseeds. The reward just isn't there I will post harvest videos as well...marijuana porn is what I like to call them 🤣

Hello:) The plants are progressing nicely. The wasabi is almost ready but the sangrias need at least one more week. Let‘s hope the wasabi won‘t be too much overripe by then:) Sadly the red/purple buds don‘t seem to spread more to the top buds, I suspect that the temperature difference between day and night is not enough, let‘s see if they get more color this week. I plan to harvest between the 18.11-22.11 if the sangrias are ready, the wasabi will have to hang in there:) Also, here is the video so far:) next time i‘ll try to make a fix spot for the camera

All done, can't wait to try. So final results are 520gr of quality half solid buds🤩✔️ that's not include the bottom trim and small buds. The whole harvest of 54 trees has the weight 5kg of solid quality buds, and around 2 kg of bottom trim and small buds🤩😶‍🌫️✔️

Getting bigger and heavier, i stopped most of the supplements (mostly because i run out, but at this point im not getting any more of them) By the looks of it, and the fact i begun reducing the light quite early, it should theoretically finish on the exact time specified by Barney's Farm. 14 weeks of flower (with 10 weeks of veg) Enjoy the pictures :D

11-25-2024 - All three plants received 2000ml PH'd tap water with a dose of Recharge and Silica yesterday. These plants are in full on stretch mode now and they're growing rapidly. These three plants are already as tall as the last grow I had and we're not even into flower yet. My expectation is this week all three plants will go into flower. I'm seeing pre-flower on two of the three plants and would expect that all three will have signs by end of tomorrow. The Mystery Seed continues to be pushed in ways the other two have not. I top dressed the Mystery seed yesterday with 3 Tbsp Gaia Green Power Bloom and we'll see if that makes a difference or kills the plant. I suspect it'll be ok. If I do not detect any burning I'll probably treat all three with power bloom next week. Otherwise, things have been going exactly to plan. There are no blemishes on the leaves and they've been maintaining a healthy green throughout the grow. I'm going to be watering a little more frequently as we get fully into flower AND I'll be ramping up the lighting in the tent to between 600-700PPFD. Should top out between 900-1000PPFD within the next couple weeks. 11-27-2024 - At this point I'm the big worry for these plants going forward as I have a hard time not messing with them. Since these are Autos, I'm only performing necessary defoliation to expose bud sites. As these girls head into flower I want to make sure I have light getting to as many as possible. These plants look very healthy and two of three are in pre-flower while the "Mystery" seed continues to stay in veg but is also an inch or two shorter than the other two plants....and has been topped. All three plants right now are as tall as the last three plants when I harvested so I consider this a good sign. Happy Thanksgiving!! 11-28-2024 - Happy Thanksgiving. Today I'm thankful for sites like this where I've learned so much. This morning, my CO2 levels finally are getting over 1000ppm which can only mean that the exhale bag is working now....took about 3.5 weeks. This morning I watered all three plants each with 2 Liters of dechlorinated tap water PH'd to 6.5. My tent conditions are OPTIMAL @ 75F/60%RH/1.1VPD/1000PPM CO2 and PPFD readings at the top of the canopy at 650 or so. The plants are growing vigorously now and are getting ready to go into full flower. I would expect flower sites throughout by the start of week 6 if not sooner. Its flower time! 11-29-2024 - Plants grew over an inch since yesterday and all three are stretching nicely. The Mystery Seed, which I topped, is a couple inches shorter but coming along nicely. All three are healthy, no bugs, no signs of anything except health. The conditions in the tent are still perfect and I'm feeling very confident in a good harvest. 11-30-2024 - Bumped up the lights this morning to 70% which should yield around 700-750 PPFD. Watered Granite Runtz and Frosted Cherry O's 2 liters each but the Mystery Seed was still a little wet so I'll water that one tomorrow. Its still not in flower so water uptake is a little less. CO2 levels continue to hover around 1000ppm and I've bumped the humidity down to around 50-54% since they're heading into flower. I also top dressed both the Granite Runtz and Frosted Cherry O's with Gaia Green Power Bloom.

Hey there everyone , Im so happy to start this diary and this new project for this spring season. I just received some seeds from Amsterdam Genetics seeds team and im really happy and thankful for this chance those guys gave me to grow their genetics 😁🙏 Due to limited space at the moment , I cannot go bigger than 60X60 grow tent and at the same time I cannot wait to grow at least one of them all so this can only be a multi strain grow under just 100W. So , I will be growing : 2 X FatKid's Cake 1 X Royal Choco (fresh one 2022 😋) 1 X Double Blue Will be growing them in 3,5lt plastic pots in 100%coco enriched with mycorrhiza and will not transplant at all. Thinking of keeping them in vegetation for 4 weeks maximum but the plants themselves will show me if they need some more time . Germinated them using the paper towel old time classics method for me , 4/4 showed little root after less than 48 hrs so I stuck them in the substrate , straight in the 3,5lt pot of coco. Decided to skip the germination in 0,5 lt cups, like I used to do because I had the feeling that I was just loosing time and adding a bit more stress in their early phase while transplanting. Coco is a well aerated substrate so lack of air/ oxygen won't be an issue, hopefully ! Germination date : 4-4-2022 Date in coco : 6-4-2022 Sprout date : 10-04-2022 Let's GROW then ! I still have some more seeds of them but decided to just grow those two for the moment and grow FCs on my next round. Although, considering that fact, I will keep those two in vegetative schedule for more time to cover up the canopy as much as possible!

Day 65. Girls are okish, calmag mini def is still after me, now even Gorillas show off some reddish leaves stems, hope they just cant keep up with speed and amount... In flowering its bad to have unhealthy plants, so CalMag today and full bloom tommorrow eve. Girls started to drink really fast. Control garden is my joy now, Outside Cookie is a pity tho.... We shall see.... In plans to raise lights back to 60 cm from canopy, girls stretched a bit, need to adjust and i just cant wait couple more weeks till first round of defoliation :))) hope to do it on day 18 of flower latest.. Canopy is too packed, need better air and light. Thinking to get heavy artillery out, epsom salt dresing :)) thats my last hope to fight that reddish-violet and make it green again. It takes two weeks to kick inn, but works always for me... Day 66. Girls are happy, hungry and in full blast. Control garden has such healthy green its hard to describe... Cookies on other hand streched as f@%k, will have to lolitop them really high, so no proper grow and small harvest, taste is the only thing that can save them... Worthless for now.... All girls streched like 5 cm in one day, they loved CalMag. Lights been raised like 7 cm. Lets see... Day 68. Changed plans a bit, girls got silica acid with plain water and they loved it! They are happy campers and grow really fast, now only to have patience till defoliation. Girls are super packed, will have to care about them 2x more than avarage, thinking to plug in conditioner, but its still coldish weather outside, so hope to last two more weeks without that beast, no tv or orher aplaincies while this beast runs :)))) Day 68, evening. First time checked my girls after light switch to flower and i am lost, will they make it? Canopy height is like 30-35 cm, they had small lolitopings on lower levels during vegetation ( see week 8 first video just mute it, they where striped like this on week 5 as well) in video its even hard to see, but its jungles!!!! Have one fresh air fan, double fan set with carbon out, inside two standing fans and powerful conditioner, will i make it with only defoliation or should i clear them hard aswell? Never growed such low and dence plants before. Please advice or show diary to read. Plus a 30 days old Incredible Bulk, almost no feed, no germination or transplanting, straight to soil and no direct light above. Hope you will see this same strain grower :) Peace.

When the seed sprouted it stayed indoors under 24hrs of light for 4 days. This morning i topped it up with soil and moved it outdoors in a 22ltr or 6 gallon pot. Really excited about this strain as i ve seen some massive plants plus its a 50 / 50 hybrid. Its going to be a mind high and a body high. Lets see how it goes. for an outdoor grow at this stage of the yr its going to be challenging but i am up to the challenge 💪
