Hey! Welcome to week 8! Karen is mid way through her flowering stretch. Please check back to last week as I update daily so the week is now complete. I count about 20 colas now. Day 51: Have reconfigured the tent, see video. Karen is now 36cm and still stretching. Karen has more light now. Smell is still there hits you when you open the tent. Fertigated 2l. Day 52: Height: 39cm. Karen's scent is heavenly. I have reconfigured again and installed some upgrades. Better reflector. Much bigger carbon filter. Increased airflow. Better config. More efficient pot layout. Karen is lovely. I am grateful to her and for her, so I wrote her a little poem, I hope she liked it. "Karen! Oh Karen! The phoenix of flowers, Three lowly weeks she struggled in vain, Shadowed and starved for five hundred hours, He slowly wept to witness her pain. Karen! Oh Karen! I P-H'd your showers, and in the fourth week you started to gain, Hallowed and hard you survived as you cowered, I thought you meek, I was wrong once again. Karen! Oh Karen! Forgave me my howlers. She set a pace, a pace she maintained, Now shes a girl at the peak of her powers, And so I'm a geek, with buds on the brain." Day 53: Approx 48h into a simulated dry spell. Alright I think it is time for Karen to get her first MAJOR defoliation. I will update shortly with photos and info. I will also be doing some gentle LST to separate the colas a bit. Day 53.5: Defoliation and LST. Finally got chance to photograph that bunda. Enjoy! Day 53.75: Bit of a fail. Messed up the timer and the lights ended up being off for about 3 or 4 hours. Because I was cooling the room (open window) to keep temperature in the tent down, without any light the temperatures absolutely plummeted as it is sub-zero outside. By the time I realised and turned the lights on, the temp in the main tent had dropped to 14 degrees celsius. Whoops! How is that for mistreating your girl? Defoliated about 80% of her leaves, 4 nodes, significant LST, then stuck her in the cold and dark for 1/6 of a day. Not to mention she is now almost 3 days into a "dry spell". There do not seem to be ill effects, and Karen has already begun to respond to the LST; all the colas that had been changed in angle are now upright again. The dry spell I keep mentioning, there is a method behind my madness, I have spotted one or two small flies and I think they may be fungus gnats. I am starting to suspect that the 2nd seedling in the Purple OG Punch Auto grow was actually beheaded by fungus gnat larvae. So I am drying out the mediums as much as I dare. I am closely monitoring the plants, so far the only one I have had to break the drought for is Enigma; all the girls in big pots haven't even noticed it's dry yet. How far am I going to push it? Well I will judge it on a plant by plant basis, but quite honestly I am hoping to see physical signs of thirst before I breakdrought. Of all the plants the two I think will respond most strongly to this will be Karen and Bertha, because of where they are. Karen here is actually probably 4 weeks into flowering rather than two, so about now is a good time to give her a little hydration stress. I do not think I will push it past 5 days, as RH is 34%. By now all the plants will be compensating for the lack of moisture and the high temperatures and low humidity. They will be taking more and more moisture out of the coco, and as the coco dries further and further down, those plants that have space will start desperately growing roots to find moisture. Mark my words, 24 hours after I end this drought, every plant in the tent will throw out crazy growth. Day 54: Ended drought and fertigated 6l, no run off, I will re-fertigate tomorrow. Karen is still stretching her height post LST is now 37cm. The two tallest colas seem to have stopped but the other colas are still stretching. Day 55: Alright so it has been 5 hours since lights on, and Karen is looking in good shape, all her drooping leaves have perked back up and she has added quite a bit of foliar growth. The colas are all still rising, except perhaps the two tallest. This girl is absolutely loaded with pistils, I'm starting to see trichomes on the sugar leaves, but trich production hasn't started in earnest yet. She has a least 20 colas, and 6 of them are thicker/taller than the primary cola at her tip. Every one of her nodes has reinforced itself with a bulbous growth and these cola branches are swelling rapidly. I am increasingly of the opinion that, all being well, this girl is going to surprise us all with her yield. My first grow, which was just mucking about really, I got 60-70g of the two main plants, and they were just bare sticks with 2 colas. Although her height is less than theirs was, 2/3 of their height was bare stick... whereas every mm of her is befoliaged and living. So in terms of the height of the actual cola I think they were about comparable in usable space on a per cola basis. The main difference being that Karen has 20+ colas whereas they had 2 primary and 2 lower. I know that it is probably unrealistic to expect more than 70g from a single auto grown indoors. Nevertheless my gut tells me this baby could achieve at least 100g, perhaps as much as 150g. The next few weeks will determine that, but given where we were in week 3 I will be grateful for any yield of quality bud. I have dropped the lights down to 18/6 from 'tonight' onwards. I really have no idea how long we have left for Karen. According the the "brochure" she flowers for 7-8 weeks, with a total crop time of 9 weeks. The problem is I don't know what a total crop time is? Does that mean from seed to finish? If so Karen is clearly not going to be anywhere near that timescale.I am going to go ahead an assume that, for my plant anyway, the first 4 weeks were veg weeks. I think it is fair to count week 5 and 6 as flowering because pistils were popping out very early in week 5 if not before. So that makes this week four of flowering. I am going to assume 8 weeks rather than 7, so I think we have another 4 full weeks give or take a week. On that basis I am expect harvest week to be around week 12 or so. I am not fixed on this though, I am determined not to harvest this girl early. Day 55: Photos taken 00:00 9/3/23 Strong 24h of veg growth as predicted. Day 56: Existing leaves continue to swell. Stretch appears to be slowing. I've taken so many media this week that I cannot scroll down far enough to select a recent thumbnail. Probably Karen's biggest week in terms of changes. She is looking like she is going to impress. Height 39cm.

They are doing great. I did add some slow release amendment because she's losing a little too much green for my liking at this stage. I am liking how she stacked and her flowers are getting fat fast. I love Barney's Farm genetics especially the Dos si Dos 33. It seems like once noticable flowers have formed they literally mature over night,one of the fastest blooming strains I have grown. Also she's so easy to clone even in mid flower, which is my favorite time to take cutting due to the prolific branching caused by the re vegging process also known as monster cropping. Cheers!!!

I've put the #3 on the ground, she's became big in few weeks, and now, almost same size than others. I'm very happy about the canope 🌲🌲, I've just removed some under leaves and micro buds in the shadow. And daily fighting with leaves to kick off them under. 💦 2 Watering this week 1.5l/plant . Hi Growmies, She seems to have stopped stretching g and the buds started to swell, so next week I have added pk 13/14 to the mix, as well as plant success orca and greenplanet‘s Rezin. I will add ventilation under the canopy this week, as I am getting worried that I’ll get mold down there. Other than that, the terpene profile is super strong already. „Der Name ist Programm“ literally orange and a zesty lime fragrance :D

Germination 07/09/2022 Hi to all the old and new growers out there. Spring has barely started but I'm so AMPED to start again. My first grow attempt was a disaster. I started to early for the season. I wasted some good seeds and those Blasted 🐌 🐌 snails messed up everything. Got up started again and took it as a learning curve. I had 1 seed left from the previous attempt and this had to be the golden ticket. The first important thing I learned was getting to the correct pH. Used a 1 liter jug not knowing that the pH down was very concentrated substance. Added 1ml of pH down to tap water with a base of 8.5+ pH and brought it down all the way to less than 4.5 pH. I probably tried like 5 times and realized that a single drop made a difference of about 2 pH. I got the feel of it and had to source a better water supply. I had the option of using tap water but didn't have the time to do a 24 hour airstone run ever time I wanted to water the plants. The local water supply shop was a better option. I got a consistent 6 pH and the price was decent. The Snail 🐌 Problem... I have a plan for those F**kers. We have 2 very nice hydroponic shops in my city. Just jarred up for the cure, and these flowers are already top 10 favorite all time. It's just full of chemical funk, and makes me high like I was back in HS. Holy shit. I can't say enough good things about the terp profile on this stuff. I can barely describe it in the state it's put my mind at the moment, wow. I wish I had treated her well during the grow, but I'm still learning. I will 100% be growing these genetics again. Given how good it is with my newbie skills, I can hardly imagine what it'll be like when I know what I'm doing. I grew two ladies in one 13 gallon RDWC bucket. Even sharing root space, they outgrew my tent and I spent all of her flower trying to save the run. Not much more I can write at the moment other than 10/10 wow.

Day 43 12/08/24 Monday Feed today, it was warm again so they drank the whole 300ml each so I have topped up another 150ml to see run off to prevent salt build up. All thriving 😍✌️💚 ACOP and Melonade Runtz structure is stunning 💪 Divines Overdose is getting chunky and showing nice stack potential 👌 Leaving these to just run there natural course, will allow me to best pick my next SOG run with micro autos indoor 😎 Video update Day 45 14/08/24 Wednesday De-chlorinated tap water pH 6 only today. Day 48 17/08/24 Saturday Another watering today using de-chlorinated tap water pH 6 only. Orange bud is tall!! Top her next time. Critical orange is lovely and compact. I went back and looked at my runoff and it was quite high. maxing out my TDS meter. I flushed em all with lots of liquid and now they all apear to be finishing up majority of the pistils where browning and whatnot. Will let me got for another week or so I think and no more feed just water. There is still some stuff remaining in the soil I got it down to 0.8ec from 4.0+ This grow has suffered some loss from it all but that's ok it was just for shits and giggles and the buds it producing are still nice looking. I also took the saved pollen out of the fridge from my Dinamed CBD Kush Auto Breeding Project - DCKABP lol, and I pollinated one branch on this plant. I marked it with a little red string to see if it would work or not. This was done last week when I missed its weekly entry. and to my surprise I now have a few swollen calyx on my GDP plant. I have no idea how fertile the pollen was as I mixed a lot of it with dried cornstarch and it seemed to do the trick for saving it. Now that I know this I will try this method again in the future and try and freeze the pollen for longer storage times. Since the second week I started doing LST on this strain. The plant grew very well, it was easy to train and had a very small amount of leaves, so I didn't defoliate it. Today I have done some lollipopping, taking off the branches that were too small. The buds start to grow in dimension and also start to smell. Also the resin production it's very good, if you try to touch the buds, your fingers will stick together.

It's been a joy to grow. Very strong plants

2 days into flower still not sure of any males in the mix. Keeping my fingers crossed. The females with the burgundy color show in the first 3 weeks of flower the dark purple veins in the leaves. So hope I get a few of those phenoms.

Running 4 autos in the same aeroponic system isnt ideal as 2 of my plants need to flush this week.. while the other 2 still have about 2 weeks again... its all good tho.. id take it out an flush them individually before harvesting.

Hallöchen, wir befinden uns am Anfang der 6ten Blütewoche kurz gesagt, die eine Bubblegum XL weist seit Ende letzter Woche Verbrennung auf. Da wir alle mit gleicher Nährlösung Gießen, wird sie wohl unabsichtlich zu viel bekommen haben. Die genannte und die SQ1 liefen seit beginn schon sehr ,,scharf,, da wie zu Anfang benannt die Erde per Handgemischt und zwecks der Literanzahl in 2 Gängen gemischt wurden ist, hatten die durchaus mehr Dünger abbekommen. Deutlich wurde dies durch die erhaltenen Messwerte. Nächste Idee hierzu ein Zwangsmischer, Rührsparten :-) Auch zu benennen ist, dass die Bubblegum XL für Ihre Schnelligkeit hätte doch noch eher in der Blüte, ins HST/SCROG verfahren gekonnt hätte (nicht mehr so gut darauf angesprungen) Die Bubblegum XL benötigen wohl auch nicht mehr so lange... Auch um nur der Erfahrungswerte wegen haben wir in diesem lauf einiges anders gemacht wie vor. Z.b hatten wir jetzt einmal absichtlich die ersten 14 Tage der Blüte 600 Watt statt schon die 720 Watt. Das Toppen von bis zu vier mal, aber da können wir nur nen Tipp geben, weniger ist mehr. Obwohl im LST- Training könnte es ggf. noch mal anders aussehen (noch keine Erfahrung). Ein Endgültiges Resultat steht ja noch aus, daher später bestimmt noch mal aufgegriffen. Ansonsten ist nur noch zu berichten, dass eine nicht so ,,Süße,, uns dann ganz sicher doch verlassen durfte. Wenn die Gutmütigkeit stets zu groß ist, wird man hinterher meist immer belehrt oder wie war das? Aus anderer Erfahrung hatte ich wohl im Gegensatz zu diesen Zwitter eine recht Süße, aber hier die Pink Mist war echt arg hinterhältig und wurde daher auch entfernt. This was another very good week for the plants, with the flowers beginning to swell up and take shape. Some of the lower leaves are starting to yellow, but this is expected. As the light doesn't penetrate as far, the plant will begin to 'consume' those leaves and drop them to redirect energy to the tops. The canopy is fairly even apart from 1 small spot, which does not have any colas at all. This is due to me bending away the GSC that was topped, with the intention of the lower branches stretching up. This happened with all the other plants I did it to, but not this one for some reason. I think it was due to airflow around the budsites so I added an extra fan last week to hopefully improve this. The strongest looking plants by far are still the ones that were Topped with LST, followed by the mainlined, with only LST in last place. I have found that the LST only ones do not have stems as thick as the others, so this may impact yield later. Not much done in the way of training apart from the odd leaf bending or stem tying. The next few weeks will most likely be fairly uneventful, as now we just need to wait for them to flower fully :D
