Day 77 I'm running out of vertical space for pinus contorta, this weekend i will open the box to move the leds higher and will try to do some decent photos. At this point i've added the Pinus purple matcha to the diary because she's huge and impossible to not notice, should be around 1,5m² almost 150cm tall. Had to do a very risky move and "soft crop" 2 apicals because of burn risk, too close to the leds. I wasn't expeting a freakin' tree like that! Day 79 Jeez plz stop growing in height!! After this shaky video i raised the leds 10 cm, now i'm for real out of space.. I'm adding 10 to 12 liters every day, alternating ro with only silica one day and the other with nutrients.

Flowering day 11 since time change to 12/12 h. Hey guys :-) The first days of this week it looked really terrible for me because it was much too cold because of the unusual temperature. The heating mat has now also arrived for the big tent and lo and behold the plants have been developing really well since that day ☺️👍. The temperature doesn't keep quite as well as in the small box, but at least I don't get below 18 degrees in the pots at night anymore, even though it's only 16 at the top 😅👍. Since I switched to flowering, it was time to rinse off a bit with Clean Fruits :-) . Did them a lot of good. She’s evolving a sweet chewing gum like smell which is very pleasant . I think she’s taking the nitrogen of the leafes since there’s not much in the soil anymore . We’re aiming for 8-10 weeks of flower so this is fine for me . Overall she’s developing nicely except the lower branches which I usually cut off when lollipopping but this time I didn’t .

Week 6 starting out with only red and white lights on. Noticed some heat stress on the top leaves so turned all the blue lights off (50%). I will try to get the lights higher if she keeps growing taller but it's noticeably cooler with just the blue lights off. Day 44 - Strapped the lights to the very top of the tent. Should have set it up that way from the beginning 😅 All lights on now. Still 16/8. Day 45 more defoliating Week summary- she's growing quit well! Keeping nutrients around 250 ppm seems to be good at this stage. Feed her only once this week and just kept adding distilled water kept it at the level. Her growth showed a sign on the last day of slowing down(height). Hope to only flower from here on out.

Very easy to grow in hydro, I did what I have done before, and did minimal defoliation. The plant drops some lower leaves herself as we go along anyway, as they begin to receive minimal light penetration. Northern lights had a shape that made it easy to grow with my light setup. The bigger buds were produced in the areas of the side lights, and let it also be known my harvest could have become a tad bigger if I hadn't picked off small buds and smoked them in the very end - must account for at least 30-40g or so, dunno precisely tho. The weed works like the usual homemade jazz, top notch. Top shelf. Northern lights did not disappoint, but I have pulled bigger yields of a White Rhino for example, made in the same manner. This is why it only get 8/10 stars. It simply lose two stars on yield, but the Rhino would also only have gotten eight stars, because it had deficiency problems on its own for example where this northern lights lady had zero deficiency probs - very stable plant. Recommended for both beginners and seasoned growers who are on the lookout for stable strains.

Marker didn't take well to the mainlining process; as a result, one cola was almost entirely consumed by mold. However, overall, things are looking good. I ended up with a small, resilient plant with a nice aroma of pineapple and Skittles, with hints of gas towards the end. 🍍🌿 Towards drying and curing now! 🌬️🎊

09/02/2019 Week 2of flowering let the fun begin!

Day 130 – Harvest Day | Sweet Seeds – Gorilla Girl Today marks the official harvest of our Gorilla Girl by Sweet Seeds – exactly 130 days from seed. The plant finished strong, with dense, resin-covered buds and a very intense aroma that exploded in the final days. Based on her structure and the weight of the colas, we’re expecting a solid yield. Final Techniques: Last 2 weeks: Only clean, purified water (flush stage) Last 3 days: Complete darkness Twice during the dark period: Placed 2 kg of ice directly on the soil The effect was noticeable — right after the ice melted, the smell intensified dramatically, and the trichomes looked even more frosty and swollen. Throughout the entire grow, she was fed with the Xpert Nutrients line, and the results speak for themselves — healthy growth, strong structure, and top-quality flowers. Leaves are starting to yellow / and pistils are burning - I believe I’ve overwatered them slightly trying to flush them the best I could with clean water - this or perhaps my last feeding was to high? The EC was 2.5 . But these signs were increasing for a few weeks . Let’s hope it clears up !

It really is an extremely fast plant. I have hardly been able to keep up with the normal fertilization scheme, and it seems to be very hungry for CalMag. Despite the deficiencies, the result is surprisingly good.

2020-07-24 (Day 129) So this thing is just way bigger than I anticipated! I think within the next two weeks I’ll have to add another level to the SCROG. Right before I add the next layer I will do a heavy defoliation To ensure I’ll have good airflow come fall. No water, no nutes, this is the easiest grow ever! Less than a month and this net of purple donkey dicks should start forming! 🍆 🍆 🍆
