Alright! 100% germination rate across the board on these beans! Every seed we sowed is now up and at em. That's already a good sign for new genetics. Well they're new to me anyway, who knows how long they've been overseas doing their thing. These could be some diamonds in the ruff, ya never know!!! Same here though as with the auto flowers we're going to see which strain performs best and then enter her into the competition....or if they're both hitting, we'll enter them both and see if we can take home a win! So for the photoperiod plants we're doing the Athena blended line in Promix soil. It's my first time using this line but they sent me it to try out so I'm going to see what's up. The auto flowers are going to be mainly organic and maybe a little mix of synthetic in bloom, if needed. That's the plan for some beautiful flowers. Let's Grow!!

Day 28 update: I think the light was too close to the plant, so I increased the distance to 50cm. It should help with the stretch of lower branches. Then I switched to Advanced Nutrients feed chart, adding 4ml/L of A+B formula and 2ml/L of other additives (for every liter in the reservoir). This made the ppm go crazy. Let鈥檚 see what happens, but I don鈥檛 like these unclear instructions. Ph Perfect keeps the ph stable for just a few hours, and they don鈥檛 say anything about ppm. Bad! Day 30 update: LST session + defoliation on fan leaves that were hiding lower branches. Day 32 update: transplanted to her final 20L AirPot (from a 5L one)! Added some michorrizhae as well where I placed the plant. Since I got a bigger pot, now it鈥檚 250ml of solution every hour, instead of the previous 125ml. Day 34 update: immediately stopped using Advanced Nutrients feed chart (from their calculator) because I had that crazy 3100 ppm in the reservoir and noticed a small sign of overfeeding on a leaf in the top. I removed part of the solution and added tap water back until I got about 800 ppm. NOT HAPPY! Day 35: LST! Again

Week 25 overall, corresponding to week 3 of flowering for the Pineapple Upside Down. Flowering has now clearly declared itself. Bud sites are visible everywhere, with consistent pom-pom formation across the canopy. Despite being at a relatively early stage of bloom, terpene expression is already strong. Upon opening the tent, a distinct pineapple aroma is noticeable, which is very encouraging for such an early phase. Vegetatively, the plant will not recover its original leaf coloration. This is accepted at this point. However, flower development appears to be on track, and the plant is allocating energy toward reproductive growth rather than foliage recovery. A light defoliation was performed, along with the removal of lower, non-productive flower sites. This cleanup aims to avoid wasting energy on underdeveloped buds and to focus resources on the upper canopy. A fresh flowering nutrient solution was prepared. PK has been introduced lightly, in accordance with the Athena feeding schedule for week 3 of flowering. Electrical conductivity is set around 2.1 EC, with a target pH close to 6.0 to ensure stable nutrient uptake. Light intensity will be increased progressively, with PPFD moving toward approximately 600 to support proper bud development and flower density. Although the foliage remains visually poor, flower formation, structure, and aroma remain the key indicators at this stage. Given the short flowering time of this cultivar (around 45 days), timing is critical, and the next weeks will be decisive. The focus going forward will be on stability, controlled feeding, and optimized light management to extract the best possible outcome from this cycle.

Still hadn't really figured it out this week... I was making a lot of mistakes, but the deficiencies weren't showing yet so I had no idea.

She was strechy for the first 4 weeks of flower then tapered off. Good fast veg cycle. Not my favorite to grow due to how slow she matured and final weight granted I got 40.1 grams and 8.3 grams of trim that will become cookies soon.

It looks to me like GSC1 it right on schedule and will finish up in about 2 more weeks. I just hope the nutrient burn doesn't effect the yield too much

Week 7 did not go too well. I believe I ran into a heat stress issue due to the lights and I also tried some new supplements to add to the res and I ended up with some type of nute lockout.....I think. Anyway, today starts week 3 of flowering and after some more research into nutrient ratios I came up with what you see above. Now I added all of this into 16 gallons of RO water (in the correct sequence) and my EC ended up a little higher than I wanted...1.4. I was looking to stay more around 1.0, but below 1.2 regardless. So I ended up adding 3 more gallons of RO water to the mix and got my numbers looking pretty descent. I was under the assumption ww was on the smaller side of the cannabis world, but this one plant, nicknamed "HULK", seems to be the exception to the rule. Hulk is now 24 inches tall....WITH LST. There is probably another 1.5 feet of branch that is basically horizontal. Well it leaves me in a predicament. I only have 22 inches of light between the 315w CMH and Hulk. The light is as high as it can go in the tent. Well I am going to keep an eye on these girls and hopefully we will see some improvement in growth. Last week pretty much stalled. Well I will check back in and let you know how it's going. Until then just keep it growing. Jan 16 update: wow, the Hulk just keeps going 馃槼. The runt is still giving me issues. It looks like heat stress but not from the lights. Thinking a vpd issue. Got a thermal temp gun so I am watching for that now. Also got me a wireless camera set up now. So I can check on the girls whenever and wherever I am. Love it.
