Day 85: The left plant is developing much slower, and I think it is caused by light stress. The right plant needs more light than the left one, so I have lowered the left plant. I don't understand why this grow as been so slow. They had problems through out there grow, but they are growing fine in size, and the left plant has much less noticeable problems. It might have something to do with the big pot size maybe?

First week went well, got two plants in coco coir and one in soil. One of the plants in potting soil came up a day after the other two but they’re doing fine

The Apple Betty girls have performed very well this week! The LST began, and there was some great growth in side branching. I also started this week off with introducing them to some nutrients ❤️ Start of week 4, the girls had responded well to transplanting, so I decided to start with some LST. My main method is to use soft wire wraps (dollar store purchase!) I poke one hole in the side of the pot near the top, and then go directly opposite that hole and poke through to make another. The first hole is for a wire wrap to secure the base of the seedling from pulling right out or over too far. The other hole is for the direction you want to bend your plant to. I start by slowly working the stem between my fingers at the point where I want it to bend. Twisting and pinching slowly so not to snap. *wait a day or two after your last water, or it will be easier to snap* once it’s ready to flop, I use the wire tie to hold down the top of the plant as close as I can to the nearest shoots. I’ll usually leave the plant like this for a couple of days, adjusting the ties, and then take them off to let them recover . Watered with a small dose of the full line of Advanced Nutrients I will be using for this grow. The girls got about 500 ml at the beginning of the week, but 2 days in I could tell they wanted more. By the end of the week they are taking nearly 1/2 gallon (which will give me 10% runoff) At the end of the week I increased the intensity of the BP2500 to 190 watts at the wall and the girls did show a few wrinkles as they adjusted, but have quickly recovered. I haven’t topped these girls, and I’m not sure if I am going to… thoughts? Happy Gardening 🇨🇦❤️🌱😎💨

Week 5 🌸 This week we had quite a lot of fruit flys loving the fruity odors emitting from the tent. They especially loved the Pineapple and Blueberry heavy plants 😅. We watered with an EC reading of about 1,1mS twice this week. Also, we finaly got the Nemathodes into our pots. The Terps are developing beautifully and we are so excited what these flowers will taste like, once the time has come!💚 All three Strains have an estimated flowertime of 45 days, but we think most of them will take a little longer to finish up.

This lady is so tall and her colas are getting too heavy. We had a bit of rain and wind mid-week and she could hardly stay up... one cola actually broke off! I'm trying to get another two weeks out of her. Fingers are crossed. It's a blustery day today and I'm a bit nervous! She's not ripe yet... I don't want a 'preemie' on my hands.

Everything is going well although bud development seems to be a little slow. Not sure if this is strain related or because I did heavy defoliation in week three of flower. I'm now feeding 4 litres per week and it seems to be taking that nicely.

Our Buddy Buddha from the start to the end lived its life next to Powell, they were close! Now that the final curtain has been drawn.. or tent flap, it is with a sad heart that we at the "In the Closet with Two Strains" Studio will be saying goodbye. She was never the most impressive plant, kept feeling like she would bloom more but the conditions were never truly right for her. Both plants had their branches sliced at the stem and large leaves removed, this purposely slowed drying down to maximise end flavour. They were both washed in cleaning pools to prepare them for their final journey in the tent. With a sad heart we wish you farewell Buddy, we will see you and Powell soon... IN OUR SMOKE REPORT! Ok so this week I did a defoliation and a tigh down too the netting , I really was not planning on doing such a big defoliation but the leafs became thick and dense and there was almost no light penitration down too the lower branches of the plant , so she is opened right up now and the humidity and temperature has dropped loads and the air is moving alot better around the leaves and branches , I will not take anything more off her now , I have also added Cal mag too the nutrients for this week only , she is well into pre flower now but the stretch has not yet started so I figured it's no or never too defoliate and tigh them down , I am very happy with them so far and being new too all this it's all very exciting , Thanks for looking :)

Hi growmies, I transplanted one of the clones into a net-pot, which sits on top of a 20l DWC with an ayirstone and a little pumper circulation and water disruption. This system will move into the little box, as soon as the Blue Mazar and Afghan have moved out. I have chosen the cutting that was the least down the lie in terms of flower and very stubbing from the beginning, as this one is transitioning back to Veg much quicker than the others. The cutting seems to like her new home, as she already starting to rot through the net pot.

What a massive turnaround from last week! Mother Nature finally stopped teasing us and brought the summer heat. We had glorious, non-stop sunshine all week, with temperatures climbing all the way up to around 30°C. Training & The Stretch: 🌿 I’ve officially put the LST ties away. I didn't touch them at all this week. Looking at them, it feels like the majority of the flowering stretch is finally wrapping up. Now it’s all about stacking those buds! Feeding Update – Dialing in the Recipes: With the plants working overtime under the hot sun, the feeding schedule has been quite busy: Team Organic (Banana Purple Punch & Amnesia Haze): They got a full-course meal this week to support peak bloom. Alongside the tap water and CalMag, I added BioBizz Bio Bloom, Top-Max, and just a tiny dash of Fish-Mix to give the microbes a nice little energy boost. Team Mineral (Lemon Cherry Cookies & Bruce Banner): They are cruising along nicely on a steady diet of Hesi Bloom Complex paired with CalMag to keep everything perfectly green and balanced. Current Standings: 📏 Lemon Cherry Cookies: Still holding her crown as the undisputed giant at 70cm. She seems to have settled into her final height and is looking incredibly majestic. The Rest: Bruce Banner, Amnesia Haze, and Banana Purple Punch have used the sunshine to catch up beautifully. They are all sitting right around the 50cm mark now, looking sturdy, healthy, and ready for a spectacular show. The energy in the garden is amazing right now. What an absolute turnaround with the weather! This week brought us tons of sunshine, with temperatures climbing all the way up to around 30°C. The ladies are absolutely soaking it up and loving every second of this summer heat. As for training, I’ve officially put the LST to rest. The canopy is wide enough, the shoots are all sitting nicely at roughly the same height, and it feels like the main stretch is finally over. From here on out, I’m just letting her grow naturally and focus all her energy on building buds. The only thing I did was a little defoliation. With bloom phase in full swing, I upgraded the feeding cocktail this week. On top of the tap water, CalMag, and Bio Bloom, I’ve now added Top-Max and a tiny splash of Fish-Mix to give her that extra organic push. Appearance: She looks absolutely fantastic! She is a true beauty to look at—the contrast between those extremely dark, almost black leaves and the bright white flower clusters popping up everywhere is just incredible. Such a cool sight! We have reached the second week of flowering for our beautiful photoperiod ladies of Zamnesia. Born 1 September now at day 45 amazing. ---- The general environmental conditions are good, there is always a little too much heat from next week we should have just for the resin a sharp drop in temperatures that could also give us beautiful foliage for this period. --- Our 2 Karen Kush deserve a slightly different discussion. They had a bit of difficulty in the final vegetative phase, I saw them not being very good and here is where different decisions must be made for the two plants. —— Plant 1 is still in vegetative stage in another growbox dedicated to emergencies and due to space problems. I topped the center x8 tops and I'm letting them grow. Under the center I cleaned everything except two lateral branches that I elegantly worked with a symmetrical LST that director Wes Anderson would really like. It's a plant that could easily be dedicated to Grand Budapest Hotel. Also these lateral tops were growing too much compared to the center. In fact, by taking the center's food first, whoever is at the internode below eats first, there is nothing to do and therefore these lateral underlying branches were becoming much taller and more powerful than the center. Solution? Repeated fimming to keep the lateral branches low, which are indeed widening and strengthening, but the center is reaching them to be better aligned. In my opinion it will be wonderful in the end. —— Plant 2 was cleaned of many branches that would have given useless holes and we simply sent it into flowering straight like the others, we need to photograph the main cola of the plants and making them grow straight is more or less the only way. --- Fertilization program - The fertilizers are always Plagron and I am following the table that I generated on the site depending on the chosen substrate. Create your own sheet and follow it, never be presumptuous my friend as I have been in the past, follow the sheet and look at the plants, not all need the same amount of fertilizer. We have reached the point of giving a good dose of iron in the first weeks of flowering on the advice of Plagron directly foliar and I am at the end of the second week of flowering.
