Day 57 Update: Plants got water yesterday with tiger bloom. First few orange pistils noticed last night, not very many yet. Yellowing is predominately in the fan leaves so maybe that is normal? Things are about to get crowded in the tent as the other three plants are starting to get big. Day 58 Update: I read up on cal-mag deficiencies. As it's my first grow, I can't know for sure how heavy/light-handed I've been with nutrients, but it feels like I've erred on the side of less is more. The "bar graph" thing is not accurate for what I've done feeding-wise. Either way, I can't image there's any actual deficiency but more likely a pH issue causing problems with magnesium uptake. I'm not too sure how accurate the 3-in-1 pH/Light/Moisture meter is, but the pH reads close to 8 in every insertion location. I'm going to order pH down, but was reading about lemon juice as a SHORT TERM fix to lower pH. Two significant issues were inevitable with this grow: 1) traveling and leaving it unattended for a week & 2) using soil that other plants were grown in. Knowing how much these two issues caused me, my future grows will honestly be way better for it. Notably how to handle extended time away as well as consistently testing pH/soil. Depending on how serious I get with this, I'd invest in more precise measurement tools, but not yet. Obviously I want big yields, but I wasn't expecting to get pounds, so I'm okay with learning how issues affect yield. My other grow is actually a really interesting study in how different stresses affect plants, but I digress. Point is, I know there are problems, I'm trying to learn to fix them, but if things go totally pear shaped, I'm not going to be too disappointed. Day 59 Update: Working on lowering the pH that feels more like the cause of deficiencies than underfeeding. In another diary I read, the grower used lemon juice in dechlorinated tap consistently in each feeding without nutrients to control pH. That's my plan until Monday when the GH ph Up/Down will be delivered. One of my plants in my other grow has pretty obvious signs of necrosis on some leaves, but it doesn't seem to be spreading. I'm pretty sure I've had wonky pH levels since I went out of town and I never got those fixed so now I'm dealing with it. Having never grown any cannabis before, but also expecting some purple in the plant, the purple/reddish hues some of the leaves initially developed seemed more normal than I should have realized. Trial by fire!! Day 60 Update: So, thinking it was a pH issue causing uptake irregularities. Many of the yellow/reddish leaves have the FEEL of a healthier leaf even if they’re still discolored. Many fan leaves fell off with minor contact/pulling. I used lemon juice last night to flush with water in the 6.0 pH range and health may be returning. I’m not going to say it’s fixed, but the damage is hopefully contained for the time being. Pics and video show damages pretty well. Knowing it may creep back up, I'll keep feeding with closer to 6.0 pH water until pH Up/Down arrives and I can re-flush for the last week or two. Day 61 Update: Nothing new to report. Feels healthier than a few days ago still, but the countermeasures deployed seem to be holding for now. Buds seem to be filling out, I’m content for the night. Day 62 Update: Water and nutrients, maybe for the last time, tonight. New soil pH meter from Home Depot is hopefully more accurate. All water was pH'd to around 6 as the soil meter showed slightly alkaline still. I'm doing the best I can to keep this under control for another week, two at the most. I also got some soil acidifier amendments for the other plants because the readings were slightly alkaline for those pots. Day 63 Update: Got a set of mobile camera lenses to take macro photos of the trichomes. Its a work in progress. Otherwise, things seem okay today. Gonna press on keeping an eye on pH, but whatever shall be, shall be.

🍰 Lava Cake – Week 8 (4th Week Flower) | The Bulking Phase The fourth week of flower has arrived, and both Lava Cakes are showing their full potential. Their structure is strong, pistils are snow-white and thick, and bud sites are stacking beautifully. This is the week where the promise of flowers begins to turn into visible production, every day, you can almost see them swelling. ⸻ 🔬 What’s Happening in Week 4 Flower By now, stretch is nearly finished. The plants are redirecting their energy: • From vertical growth ➝ into flower bulk. • From nitrogen demand ➝ into phosphorus & potassium demand. • From building structure ➝ into packing density. This transition is crucial: the roots, the soil microbiology, and the nutrient profile all work together to feed flowers instead of stems and leaves. What we see this week: • Thick, healthy pistils at every site. • Calyx swelling beginning, the first signs of true bud stacking. • Leaves still dark and strong — proof of balanced nutrition. • No stress, no burn, no deficiencies. ⸻ 🥤 Feeding Strategy – Why Boosters Matter Now This week, we removed the Aptus All-in-One Liquid, despite it being in the photo. The reason: the soil’s super soil base + slow-release pellets still carry enough NPK to support the girls. Overfeeding at this stage could risk tip burn or nutrient lockout — and we want the roots to stay clean and active. Instead, the focus is on precision boosters: Recipe (per L water): • Aptus Regulator – 0.15 ml → strengthens cell walls, stress protection, and nutrient uptake efficiency. • Aptus CalMag Boost – 0.25 ml → keeps calcium steady (critical for bud structure) and magnesium strong (photosynthesis & chlorophyll). • Plagron Power Buds – 1 ml → directs plant energy into flower production. • Plagron Sugar Royal – 1 ml → provides organic nitrogen + enzymes to stimulate terpene development. • Plagron Green Sensation – 1 ml → PK booster + biostimulant, promoting dense, resin-rich flowers. Why this mix? • Because the NPK in soil is still sufficient → boosters fill in the extra needs of flowering without overwhelming the root zone. • Because boosters provide specialized roles → each product targets a specific physiological process. • Because balance prevents problems → overdoing NPK at week 4 could backfire, while focused boosters guide the plants safely into mid-bloom. ⸻ 🌡️ Environmental Notes • Temps: Still ~31–34°C until AC arrives. High, but plants are adapting. • Humidity: 55–60%, VPD ~1.8–2.0 kPa — slightly high, but still manageable. • Watering Rhythm: Once substrate moisture falls near 19–20%, measured by TrolMaster WCS substrate sensor. This ensures roots get oxygen before each feed. Even under warm conditions, the plants are drinking heavily — proving they are metabolically active and thriving. ⸻ 🌸 What to Expect Next Week (Week 5 Flower) ✅ Expect: • Noticeable bulking → flowers will become rounder, denser, and begin to “stack.” • More pistils → a full carpet of white hairs covering colas. • Aroma development → the first hints of Lava Cake’s dessert-like terpene profile may start releasing. ❌ Not to Expect (yet): • Full frost coverage → heavy trichome production usually comes weeks 5–7. • Final density → buds will continue swelling for several weeks, so patience is key. ⸻ ✨ Closing Thoughts Week 4 flower is the foundation of yield. It’s when the plants finish their stretch, define their bud sites, and begin to convert light, water, and nutrients into the weight and density we harvest later. Our Lava Cakes are in perfect rhythm: • Strong genetics, showing symmetrical growth. • Balanced feeding, keeping roots clean and buds fueled. • Stable environment, with monitoring from TrolMaster guiding every adjustment. From here forward, every day brings visible progress. The journey of seeds to now feels like preparation — this is the beginning of the true show. 🔬 Science Spotlight – The Unsung Heroes: Calcium & Magnesium Many growers focus on NPK during flower, but two “quiet players” — calcium (Ca) and magnesium (Mg) — are just as vital to ensure flowers bulk properly. 🌿 Calcium (Ca): • Strengthens cell walls, making flowers denser and less prone to collapse. • Improves nutrient transport, ensuring phosphorus and potassium (the bloom drivers) actually reach the buds. • Helps roots resist stress in warm environments (like our 31–34°C room). 🌿 Magnesium (Mg): • The central atom in chlorophyll → without magnesium, photosynthesis collapses. • Supports enzyme activity, converting sugars into energy for bud building. • Directly influences terpene production, giving flowers their aroma and flavor. Why CalMag Boost now? • In soil mixes, calcium can sometimes get “locked up” as the pH fluctuates. • With daily watering at slightly acidic pH (5.8–6.0), we guarantee Ca and Mg are immediately available. • This ensures strong, vibrant leaves → which means more energy for flower sites. In short: while NPK builds the skeleton of yield, calcium and magnesium are the glue and spark that hold it all together. Skipping them would weaken the entire flowering process. ✨ Grower’s Analogy: Think of your plant like a construction site: • NPK are the bricks and beams (the main structure). • Calcium is the cement holding every wall together. Without it, the structure would crumble. • Magnesium is the spark plug in the engine — it makes photosynthesis “run” and fuels the work crews building the flowers. No cement, no structure. No spark plug, no engine. That’s why CalMag support is never optional — especially in flower when the demand skyrockets. 🌸 📲 Don’t forget to Subscribe and follow me on Instagram and YouTube @DogDoctorOfficial for exclusive content, real-time updates, and behind-the-scenes magic. She loves her new home!!! 14cm from the lamp 🔥🔥I want huge buds, baby. This week I added Bug Bud. It’s so strange to treat an autoflowering strain like a normal one. But this plant has some amazing genetics. She loves to be trained, and she loves nutes as well. How can’t you love her? 😍

Day 58, 11th of November 2020: I set the lamp 15 minutes shorter to switch off earlier so she receives 11:45 of darkness. I would like to imitate the nature when longer nights come with time till the 4th week (when she will receive 13 hours darkness a day 15 minutes minus 4 times = 1hour) so every week 15 min longer darkness for 4 weeks and then back to 12/12 to have bigger buds from the 4th week.... Tropicanna poison... Nice plant well done Sweet Seeds.... Little beauty sex appears by the pistils are coming out so I assume strech is ending soon :) All good look at her fertilization happnes every 2nd day by the mix above and the ratio. Let's see.... She is promising haha :)

What a great strain...definitely surprised me positively. Thank you Exotic Seeds for the opportunity to work with you trying this awsome plant. It has a steady growth, kinda short and bushy like a lot of plants with strong indica traits Very dense buds, big ones, fat and resinous. With a LOT of productions all-over the plant. So much thricome production it sparkles white. Cutes it yesterday (17/12/2023) altough on my opinion it could have 1 more week. Altough because of the huge problem I had to do it. This grow tent (specially the other plant growing side by side) had a mold issue, bud rot spreading fast. I must have lost about 5 65 grams of wet flower total on the Fat Banana. When I cuted it 🍓 Strawberry Cola weighted 829 grams it has a lot of defoliation done alredy but I'll trim it 100% when dry. This is it, thank you all of you growmies for watching this grow. See u guys on the next one.

Just plain water and 3g/liter of substrate of the Tres Algas Sólido. Some leaves are super yellow and I think it has something to do with the pH. We'll see. Buds are developing well.

Hi all the happy people here in GrowDiaries. And hello to you who read my diary, I just want to say that I am pleased that you have chosen to check in with me and in my diary. I do this for myself and for a steady flow of my medicine. Everything you read and see in my diary is 100% honest and I will never distort or beautify anything here. I document my crops so that I can learn from my mistakes and also to look back at those different crops. I try to update with pictures every day and with text if something special has happened in the garden. This is my strainhunt for the best medicine and the beginning of my journey with cannabis and the cultivation of it. This is my second feminised cultivation ever. First, I'm just going to say something about my grow room. The room is 2.14 meters by 1.7 meters and has a ceiling height of 2 meters. It provides a floor area of 3.6 square meters. I use a 54 Watt Lightwawe T5 for germination and 2 Pcs 400 Watt HPS lamps for bloom. I have a channel fan that replaces the room air about 40 times an hour to get a comfortable environment in the room, the air enters a fresh air intake from the outside. The air is purified through a carbon filter to then leave the room to the rest of the basement. Then I use that heat to heat the rest of the basement. I will use 15 liter Autopots to grow with and a 100 liter water tank that supplies the pots of water and nutrition. I will grow completely organically in soil and will watercure my buds to get the best possible medicine for me. Medical Mass is a new medical cannabis strain with a high CBD content and a low THC level that provides good medical properties without a strong psychoactive effect. This is a mostly indica plant that contains 40% sativa and 60% indica. Critical Mass and CBD rich strain were crossed to create this amazing valuable variety. The plant suits both for indoors and outdoors, for beginner and experienced growers. The strain grows up to 60 - 100 cm tall and produces good yields for such height of about 500 - 550 gr/m2. The plant demonstrates great results even in small spaces. The flowering time takes only 7-8 weeks and the harvest comes in late September. The smoke brings very strong, intense flavors with sweet notes of honey and skunk and an intense pleasant relaxation. Medical Mass is the great choice for each medical user due its small height, ease of growing, fast flowering and of course great medical potency. 2017-09-01. Week 8 is going great, started flush toward the end of week 7 on Zkittlez and OG Kush. Also started flushing Pink Kush CBD and Purple Punch at start of week 8. All are packing weight still and smelling very fragrant. Trichomes are starting to cloud out and I am planning on harvesting when trichomes are starting to amber.

Week 12: Tangie Finish Line in sight Today, I checked Tangie’s trichomes and noticed that 20% have already turned amber. This signals that it’s time for a flush. I’m using pH-balanced water (pH 6) with an EC of just 0.092 ms/cm due to my extremely soft water. My goal is to stress Tangie a bit in these final days to boost trichome production. I plan to remove some fan leaves two days before harvest and let the soil dry out slightly. She has about 4-5 more days to go. The aroma has become incredibly strong, with a vibrant, fruity scent dominating the air. It’s amazing how much more potent this smell is compared to the pre-harvested buds, which are now in the curing process and beginning to release that delightful orange and citrus fragrance. I’m eager to compare the flavor, potency, and high between the early and late harvests. The finish line is definitely in sight and I'm happy that I could let her ripen entirely to she what she is capable of 😍 Update 17.08 (Day 82) Today I decided to finally harvest the rest of this lovely Tangie. The trichomes showed a good mix of amber and cloudy trichomes, and I don't want to risk letting her overripen. I opted to cut only the fan leaves again to ensure a slow and consistent drying process. So far, so good, my friends—everything good must come to an end. Check out my harvest report of my Tangie lady for details on the yield, strain characteristics, and, of course, the smoke report. What's left to say? I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to all of you for joining me on this incredible and educational journey ♥️ Reaching nearly 2,000 views on my first diary is something I never expected, and it’s all thanks to your support. A special shoutout to Fast Buds for launching this contest—it gave me the motivation to share my experience—and for the outstanding strains you’ve brought to life. You are the best, guys. 💪🏽
