Ginger Nut Cookies & Aussie Music Videos Week 16 Harvest 17 th April 2020 This Entire feminised seed making and growing project was a very good learning experience for me. Right from the very start, when I successfully got a Cutting ,taken from a Barneys Farm Red diesel female plant to produce feminised pollen after treating it with a silver thiosulfate solution. I then used it to pollinate a Fastbuds Girl scout cookies auto plant and let it grow to maturity. This only produced 3 viable seeds one of which is the subject of this Diary. I made up the name "Ginger nut cookies" after a variety of cookies we have here in Australia that are made with ginger. They are the same colour as the distinct red hairs on the red diesel buds. And would you believe those same vivid red hairs were passed on to this plant so I wasn't too far off the mark with the strain name. Her flavour however is nothing like red diesel or girl scout cookies and infact as taken on a smell and aroma all of it's own. She has a lovely tropical fruit like taste and the smell is a bit like fruit yoghurt. It has an unreal after taste on the exhale and the lingering second hand smoke smells very sweet and enticing. She has a pretty well balanced high too not as potent as the GSC nor as energenic as the red diesel but just a pleasant mix of the two. It was a very easy to grow and undemanding plant that didn't seem to require a lot of extra feeding other than the 100% organic nutrients that were within the soil and a few things like compost teas etc. The other element of this diary was of course the weekly Aussie music videos That I provided the links for and put up a little video clip preview of each Artists song. Day 70, 100% cloudy with some ambers. Shame about the main cola fox tailing, and a nightmare grow really. From heat stress, and cal mag deficiency and nute burn pretty much 6 weeks it’s been one thing after the other. But she kept growing, and with continued efforts it’s looking like I have been rewarded. The smell is strong!! The sticky fingers speaks for themselves. Scissors are ruined 😂. Will hang dry now for at least 5 days before another little trim / tidy up prior to jarring / curing.

Day 9 and she looks as you guys can see lol i mean to my eyes she just looks amazing, she is fully recovered and full on going like there is no tomorrow , she is praying for 11h strait non stop and i could not be more happy with the way things are running. For this week i will keep the same food regime as last week, man i love how my girls love Aptus Holland and how well they respond to it all 💚💚💚🙏🙏🙏✊✊✊ I know she has a lot of leafs , but its only that hehehe since i clean the branches all up to the top before flipping her to flower leaving just the leafs to help them get more energy for this first 2 weeks of the flowering stage, after it i will defoliate the hell out of this lady best and let her focus her energies on but production, but for now i want her to stretch the most she can since she is not phenotype that stretches a lot 😅 non or lees she is an amazing bud machine i believe she will do it once again hehehe As for the Light intensity i took 12 readings over my canopy to find out my PAR and the average PPFD is 1013 Umol/m2/s, for those of you that do not know the meaning of this, it means photosynthetic photon flux density , this basically the number of photons going arround for plants to absorve in a determinate area, in this case my 3x3 room Day 11 and there were toooo many leafs for what my eyes are use too so i decided to defoliate her, this will also help stopping the stretch since she is doing it more than her mother did and space is not something i have in this 3x3 area lol she is drinking like crazy, 5,5 liters day and increasing, curious to see how much will she be drinking wen in full flower. Well I finally had some time to really be up in the garden and I noticed pollen sacs on one of these females so I kicked her ass out the club she is now going to be outdoors if it messes with resin production so be it but I got her outside and I castrated every pollen sac off her so we will see if she still produces bomb buds.

Week Two: The seedlings received their first and second feedings of Innovating Plant Products. Along with one just a plain watering. (Feed / Feed / Water). The first feeding was on 5/21 of 900 ppm of the veg nutrient line. The pH was 6.3 The second feeding was on 5/24 of 700 ppm of the veg nutrient line. The was 6.4 After assessing the first feeding it was felt the PPM was a bit high for their first feeding. We could have easily done this in reverse order. On 5/26 the plants were given just plain water to finish out their week. One of the seedlings appeared to be a bit deformed and has since been tossed. This one seed didn't germinate well, but we thought we would give it go. Assessing the seedling we simply opted to pull it.

Nothing but colas on all 3 this is going to be a big harvest. Another 2 or 3 weeks max.

Good day everyone, day 64 and the girl are getting close to harvest, finishing with Ripen today and starting with a clean water flush for the next 5 days then i am harvesting 🤩

Pics taken on day 36. Some, if not most of these are lightly seeded, I've checked for herms but cant find no nuts. Sucks but from what I've read and people I've talked to seems like it wont be too big of a deal in the end, some old school growers even prefer lightly seeded nugget, I've never tried it intentionally. The green buzz nutes are working well. I'm almost out of the more PK so I had to add herculean harvest liquid bonemeal to get the ppm where i want it while trying to conserve the Gbl to last the rest of the run. Didnt have the lady to take my pics today so I was limited and had to take them lefty one handed and was shakey af. #1 is killin it, havnt found seeds in her, stinks like citrus skunk #2 is fattening up I defoliated a little for space. Also smells citrus #3 was the runt but now shes lookin pretty good very solid structure heavy resin

# 1 plant ( big one) watering with grow big as soil is not as hot as fox farm, # 2 ( runt) in fox farm soil only getting pHd water along with humic and kelp. Middle week update # 2 making a cone back aslo topped her was curious to see what will happen # 1 just growing fast

Plants are doing good this week, I started to lower the feed a bit from 1.6 down to 1.2 as some of them are finishing off and the rest are not to far behind noticed a bit of burn on upper leaves suggesting to heavy of a feed as well. Updated the heights on them as well as they grew a tiny bit. Should be the last height update, this is their final form :D #1 - 45cm +2cm #2 - 39cm +3cm #3 - 39cm +2cm #4 - 24cm +2cm #5 - 48cm +2cm #6 - 51cm +2cm Two of the plants have started to show signs they are entering their end stages of life. Hopefully everything else will be ready soon as I do not want to do a staggered harvest. Been noticing its hard to capture the frost on them with my camera as the overhead lights mess up the photo somehow. notice when they are beside the tent with reflected light on them it shows up a bit better so took some individual selfies of them on a back background. Liverwort is also doing well, once this plant is all done I have a feeling its going to like its new home. I want to see how big I can get it, it also have a bunch of smaller off shoots starting now as well beside the main plant, in some of the other pots I also have mosses :D Also PSA: remember to clean your intake filters if you have any, they get dusty and lower your CFM rating of the extractor fans in the tent. and if you use a carbon filter its already getting lowered a lot.

Well I almost lost her to the root root. Thought I got rid of it and then I got some clear snotty shit. I saw that and I cut the roots. I tried peroxide, bleach, hygrozyme, Daily Rez changes. The last few weeks were a real rollercoaster ride that's for sure

Plant grew very well overall. Will join my monster auto flower collection. Unfortunately my harvest video was corrupted during filming, and I lost the footage. 😢😭🤬. Pretty much explains my feelings. Plant has a great citrus smell, and grew massive. It loved the Viparspectra P4000 light. Thanks again PEV Thank you grow diaries community for all the support. Wie auch bei der Runtz, es wird Zeit regelmäßig trichome zu checken. Auch das massive pistillhärchen meer fängt langsam an sich bräunlich zu verfärben. Auch hier schätze ich noch die ein bis zwei Wochen also werden alle beiden Damen zusammen niedergemacht. Ansonsten lasse ich hier noch das Video für sich sprechen.
