One of the dark devils is extremely stunted.... it's almost comical how small it is.... but she went through a lot .......it's a wonder she still alive .....some other people might have just thrown her away and started with some other seeds...... but it's kind of an experiment .....to see the extreme they're able to go through

First feeding on day 8. I will be watering with nutes and plain PH's tap water every other watering as required by the dryness of the soilless mix. Watering until about 10% runoff each time. Current lighting: mix of LED & CFL- total wattage 71 watts.

This week they realy started to grow some buds! Blueberry by canuk seeds is really impressing me! girl is not even half way through and already massive buds comming!

Welcome to my Fast Buds sponsored shootout and living organic soil v coco side by side. I also plan to use this grow to my full advantage regarding a few age old nagging questions about methods. I have had a keen interest in L.O.S ( supersoil) since reading a few threads a while back on how amazing and productive it can be. After too much research and procrastinating I had to give it a go. I have been a decades coco/nft grower and recently threw my hat in the rdwc ring too. I have avoided soil due to the overwatering worry ( heavy handed chimp brain !) and the best potting soil/feeds. Catching up on the advances in indoor soil gardening and organics led me too subcools supersoil recipes to name a few but being a town dweller with farms everywhere around me still drew blanks on a lot of the ingredients needed and where the hell I could even begin to get them from. Thankfully , commercial savvy has now made buying it in ready to use and with a full range of beneficial bacteria ect available in amendments from a grow shop here in the uk. ecothrive have realised the potential for us to dive into this medium with all the mixing , measuring and resourcing. I bit the bullet and £150 later I now have 4 x37Litre pots that will be used for as long as I want to feed the soil for without EVER needing nutrients again potentially. The coco has also had charge mixed in to encourage the bennies to colonize there too. I will be using the shogun nutes that I know do the business with coco to compare with for yield , growth and taste. I have 3 seeds each of 4 Fast Buds Strains to use as a control for the grow and am journaling each strain in their own diaries. This statement will be used to start each one as the information is identical at this point but following this I will do them individually. I am now starting their second week since opening the seed packets , straight into soaked and shook root riot cubes and into the heated propagator. They had all showed their heads by end of day 3 and a couple needed helmet surgery to open up without being hindered . I have has them in the prop for a few days but they needed to get settled as they were popping roots out all over the cubes. They have now been in their final pots for 2 days complete and starting their 3rd today at day 8 since planting in cubes. I am impressed with the speed and success of these girls already (12 of 13 germinated) . Well done fast buds. So here we go folks , any comments , ideas ,questions , advice are always welcome and I hope we can have some fun experimenting with defol v non defol , topping v fimming v bending and any other curiosities along the way. First day of week 6, I will be adding content as the week progresses, have a look at week 5 as that is now complete. Status: Candy Kush #1 d36 - Looking awesome, some pistils showing. Was too bushy so did some LST and slight defoliation today with supercrop on 1 branch. Candy Kush #2 d36 - Looks like nitrogen deficiency is sorted, now I have excess? :D see the clawing tips? Gonna stick with the current feed, hopefully she'll overcome otherwise I'll flush her once if things get worse. Bubble Kush d32 - Amazing, nothing to report, some tucking done Fastberry d32 - Looking as weird as ever, some tucking done Sugar Mama d36 - growing and getting really bushy, shame about the mess I did with the roots/stem but she is doing ok now. ---- Fed 2nd day of weeks 6 (day 37), 3ml biogrow 2ml calmag. pH was at 6.5 Ec was at 1.5. New leaves are really yellow in candy Kush 2, iron deficiency? Not sure what is happening, will be monitoring. ---- Day 38, Removed the yellow leaves and a little defoliation on all the plants ---- Day 39, Raised the shorter plants so they get some more lights. All of them have finished 35 days (5 weeks from seedling today) and are looking great. Feed the same, although they still look very bright, brighter than I am used to. ---- Day 41, Feeding time, started giving them bloom at 5ml/l and the other normal dosages as in diary. ---- Day 42, End of week 6 The girls are all looking great, there is is so much hair on the buds, haven't seen so much with outdoor grows. Exciting :D Sugar mama is way too bushy and not getting taller. The new blades are too thin, maybe I'm overfeeding her (only biogrow+calmag)? defoliated her, lots of fan leaves removes, she is asking for some training, I've ordered plant tie and will do some LST when delivered. Black Muffin Harvest Report The Black Muffin Monster really impressed me. She grew into a beautiful and strong plant with dense, resinous buds and an amazing aroma. Unfortunately, I suspect she developed a fungal infection, probably Fusarium, which forced me to remove about four side branches. Still, the rest of the plant stayed healthy and finished strong. Overall, I’m very happy with the results and excited to see how she turns out after drying and curing. It was a great experience despite the challenges.

Woche 5 / Vegi Woche 4 Der Grow: ​​​​​Zum Anfang der Woche, wurde die Pflanze zum zweiten mal getoppt. Damit wurden aus den 6 Hauptrieben, 12 neue Haupttriebe. Dass toppen hat die Pflanze wieder gut verkraftet. Die Triebe sind im Verlauf der Woche gut und gleichmäßig gewachsen. Am Ende der Woche war die Pflanze wieder schön kompakt und buschig. Wahrscheinlich werde ich die Pflanze in der nächsten Woche, ein letztes mal toppen. Ob jeder der neuen 12 Hauptriebe getoppt wird, mache ich davon abhängig, wie sie sich weiterhin entwickeln. Leider war ich mir dann zur Wochenmitte zu 100% sicher, dass die Pflanze zu feucht steht. ​Kurze Zeit nachdem gießen, hat die Pflanze, ihre Blätter extrem hängen lassen. Auch haben sich erste Mangelerscheinungen gezeigt. Da Mangelerscheinungen bei der kurzen Zeit und dem Erdvolumen, nicht sein können, plus die Kombination der hängenden Blättern, nachdem gießen, waren dann die eindeutigen Anzeichen, für eine über Wässerung. Die Symptome werden hierbei, durch den fehlenden Sauerstoff an den Wurzeln, ausgelöst. Ich habe daraufhin, die Bewässerung komplett eingestellt. Aktuell bekommt die Pflanze seit 5 Tagen kein Wasser mehr, damit die Erde abtrocknen kann. Meine neue Strategie, für die Sonnenerde, schaut jetzt wie folgt aus. Ich lasse die Erde jetzt auf 30% abtrocknen, danach gebe ich einmalig, wieder soviel Wasser, dass die Feuchtigkeit auf 40% steigt, um sie dann wieder auf 30% absinken zulassen. Zwischen diesen Bewässerungen, gibt es 1-2 mal, nur ca. 200ml Wasser, damit die Erde gleichmäßig feucht bleibt. Dies sollte für eine gute Sauerstoff Versorgung der Wurzeln sorgen und das Boden Leben fördern. Damit die Pflanze etwas wenig gestresst ist, durch die über Wässerung, habe ich die LED erst einmal wieder auf Stufe 2 gedimmt und den VPD auf 1,2kpa gesenkt. Beides wird wieder schrittweise erhöht, wen die Feuchtigkeit in der Erde, auf mindestens 40% gefallen ist. Der Trauermückenbefall, dürfte auch erledigt sein. Die Nematoden haben ganze Arbeit geleistet. Auf den Gelbtafeln sind keine neuen mehr dazu gekommen und im Zelt sehe ich auch nichts mehr. Sobald die Pflanze aber wieder Wasser bekommt, werde ich sicherheitshalber, noch einmal mit Nematoden gießen. Die Parameter in Woche 5: Durchschnittliche Tagestemperatur: 28 Grad Durchschnittliche Nachttemperatur: 22 Grad Durchschnittliche Luftfeuchtigkeit Tag: 64% Durchschnittliche Luftfeuchtigkeit Nacht: 60% Durchschnittliche Bodenfeuchtigkeit: 50% LED Leistung: 20% = 90 Watt Beleuchtungsdauer: 18 Stunden DLI: 20 Controller Einstellung Tag: Advanced AI VPD 1,2 Controller Einstellung Nacht: Advanced AI VPD 1,0 Durchschnittlicher VPD Tag: 1,4 Durchschnittlicher VPD Nacht: 1,1 Umluft: Stufe 1 oszillierend

Growing these ladies was great and super easy. I ran into a problem early on from not using the correct PH when watering and they bounced back nicely. Seed to harvest in 10 weeks probably could have went another week.

On the first day of week 4 I did topping on the plant at 6 node. Up to this point the plant has been growing very strong and healthy as fast as Autos I have grow before. Day 22 the plant doesn't seem stressed out at all and in fact is pumping New Growth right away I thought it was going to be sad for a day or two but no way the genetics are very strong the plant is very vigorous and their leaves are starting to smell very strong to the touch and just growing by themselves. Day 24 I did some minor defoliation to allow the light to penetrate everywhere in the plant. I will continue to update thank you for reading and have a happy grow.

I should have probably let the clones go bit longer and get better established roots before putting them into the DWC net pots.

UPDATE - 24th of February 2020 - DRY WEIGHT & LOVE 56g total dry weight, after I gave them a very nice trim. They started curing in glass jars on 19/2/2020 and are currently between 63-68%RH inside. Burping every other hour for couple of minutes. While trimming some dried buds yesterday, I came across a seed, I couldn't believe it, between 😕and 😆, first time experiencing this, interesting, hopefully she didn't lose a lot of her potency and it only happened late. Learning from this: don't change light cycle. I changed from 18 to 21 hours, thought that was a good idea... All this aside, I am sooooooo in LOVE WITH HER 😍I have never grown such a beautiful plant, excuse the photo spam, she deserves a stage, at least for me 😉I can't wait to try her properly cured and get to learn her whole taste spectrum with the low and slow dried buds. Some of them will be processed to oil and edibles. If I find time, I might document some more. Until then, happy growing everyone, peace 🙏 Tried 2 different drying methods: 1. Regular hang dry: For 7 days in small grow tent, darkness at 50% humidity & 20°C/68F - she was almost too dry after 7 days. 2. Low & Slow dry: after washing & hang-drying for 4 hours, she went into the fridge for 7 days in a paper bag, followed by several jar tests until she was at a steady 68% outside; She dried like this in the fridge for 8 days. I didn't trim her too much, since I want to preserve everything for oils. More details: 16. Nov. 2019 - 13. Week 21 - It's a JUNGLE! I'm back and OMG! She's so big! Not only tall.... but... ROUND! I couldnt fit her into a picture, so did a video instead. Wow! She is really something! My Gardena autmatic AI watering system is working wonders. Fed her some nutrients today but I'm not sure I want her to grow more. The colas are taking shape, the buds are beginning to swell. Can't wait to taste these nugs
