Another demanding week for these ladies but they have reached a milestone. Week 8, and my custom fit SCROG has been installed! ❤️ At Day 50 I separated my 7 gallon girls and my 5 gallon girl. Once done, I began the very easy process of adding my “floating” SCROG. I use ratchet straps, just like the ones that come with lights to secure the four corners of the screen to the top of my tent. This allows me to adjust the screen height as necessary when 1) first installing and 2) once the full stretch of flower has occurred, I can tweak it a bit to balance the canopy as best as possible. It’s not 100%, I still get some over achievers, but I find it useful as another option. I like to do a major defoliation before I set the ladies in. Typically till this time, I have done almost no defoliation, just LST and some HST techniques. I adjusted the ladies placement to allow growth out all sides of the screen, set the screen height and began tucking and bending. The defoliation and bending allows light to penetrate all those side shoots that would have amounted to nothing, and they become top shoots as they grow up and form an even canopy. I don’t like to weave, it can damage the new shoots and cause growth problems, but the goal is to get as even a coverage as you can while allowing for plant growth in all directions. Once complete, I will give the girls about a week to recover and grow those new shoots. I like to have about 80% coverage of the screen, before I change my light cycles to flower 12/12… and if they are healthy and strong. I’ll decide this weekend if it is time ❤️👊🇨🇦😎 Happy Gardening!

New week, new growth. So we have done another defoliation to allow the lower shoots to be exposed to the lights which equal to a better yield come flower time, they always need a day or 2 recover after being put under any stress, especially if its an extreme amount of leaves being taken off. They were also lollipoped to clear up and messy under growth and to improve airflow under the canopy. I also took clones from each of these. Paying close attention to the EC and pH. Increasing and decreasing as and when I need to going off what the plants show me. Close to flower now. A few days to go! D71. Week five of flower and the girls are simply doing their thing. I scouted the plants today and found thrips on the second girl. I was hoping the lacewings would have gotten them all by now, but no such luck. I'll give them a week before ordering another batch. For some reason, the thrips avoid the first girl. Visually, there's also a clear difference between the two girls, with the first girl being darker and having more buds. ------------------------------ D73. I brewed a short (6 hours) compost tea today consisting of worm castings, kelp meal, neem meal, humic and fulvic acid, rock dust, biochar, and molasses. After the brew, I added homemade Bokashi juice, which lowered the pH of the tea to 6.6. Each girl got 2.5 liters of tea (5% of pot volume.) I also did another light round of defoliation, down low on the plants. ------------------------------ D75. Each girl got 2.5 liters of water @ pH 6.5, with 5 ml of FFJ. The plants stretched SO MUCH after flipping them into flower that it's challenging for the light to penetrate the canopy, and it's pretty dark further down. I bought some LED grow light strips and installed them in the tent to provide additional side lighting. It's only 36 W of extra lighting, but I hope it will help to develop the numerous buds down low. I put the lights on the left side of the tent, around the first girl, since she has a lot more buds, but now that it looks like the concept works, I might get another set of lights for the right side of the tent. ------------------------------ D77. We've reached the end of the fifth week of flower, and all is well in the tent. Ahem, almost all since I still have the thrips to contend with, BUT I just put a bunch of Cucumeris predatory mites in the tent, so the war rages on. A friend suggested adding white cloth below the plants to reflect more light toward the lower buds. Sounds plausible, but I didn't have any fabric, so I went all ghetto by simply putting strips of kitchen paper on top of the scrog net. Not the most fantastic reflector material ever, but it's what I had at hand. Plus, it's easy to work with and costs next to nothing. I doubt it will make a big difference, but even a slight increase is still an increase, and I could see a visible difference in the amount of light hitting the lower canopy. Finally, each plant got 2.5 liters of water @ pH 6.3, with FFJ and Bokashi Juice. ------------------------------

Budsites have fattened up beautifully she’s growing fast and is loving the nutrients at the minute can’t get enough !

So cut of a few bud sites that were too low or under the net. I also had some nutrient problems with the FBA2504 shes more hungry then the other 2 plants but that should be sorted out by now, or at least thats what I hope.😅😂 Also I wanted to mention that the terps on the FBA2504 give me some Super Lemon Haze vibes and shes also looking like a sativa dominant strain so who knows maybe I got 4 Haze crossings in my tent rn🔥. Purple Haze seems to be the fastest out of the 3 she is a fast one for sure. The Frostbanger has some purple pistils forming.

Flush Week !! More yellowing and colder tempereatures... Feeding is 1 irrigation plain water, and the next with 2-3 ml Top Candy, giving the plant the Carbohydrates it needs, but no more nutrients this week. Eating way less water than before. Aprox 1 week until harvest, and the end of the next week probably is going to be sunny. So not much more to say fellas, sooo as usual, Take care and Good VIbes !!!

19.04. Day 83 Day 43 and things remain steady. The two overfed plants are still on pH-adjusted water only. The one in the front is starting to show signs of recovery – looks like the flush is working. The one in the back right, though, is pretty far gone – necrosis has set in deep. At this point, it’s just about damage control. No real comeback expected, but I’ll keep it going. All the other girls are thriving. Still getting 2–2.5 liters of nutrients every two days. Buds are swelling up nicely – and finally, the frost is starting to settle in. I had to harvest early because it hermed.

All are going strong, zkittles OG auto is nearly 30cm bigger than the rest and has started showing bud sites, the rest are not far behind at all. I think they will be into flowering stage at the end of next week and by then hopefully 30-40cm taller. Do si dos is very different, looks short and stout so will be doing some LST on her. Seems to be happy with the nutrients and strengthening nicely. Added another 600w light on 11/12/20 so 3 600w lights in now.

Disculpen las fotos, es que las saque para consultar. Bueno primero que nada fue una semana de mucha tormanta, lluvias y humedad. lo peor que nos puede pasar en floracion. Segundo intente hacer supercroping ya que las ramas seguian superando el tejido y les llegaba luz en la noche. Y me salio desastrozo, mi primera vez. Pero los otros punteros que superaban la altura, los hizo mi compañero que sabia hacerlo (No tengo foto, luego actualizo). Y Tercero que debido a la humedad se ven en las fotos como aparecio hongos, por lo que pude observar era solo ese poco, lo cual ya fue removido vamos a ver como continuamos.

Only given RO water for the past week for WC2 although, WC1 has been flushing for two weeks so I think today will be their last day of watering and then chop them down due to a little unwanted foxtailing in WC2 and the light pulled back. Before chop theyll have a short period in the dark. Probably not going to have another update for a couple of weeks until the drying process is complete though. Both plants are purpling with WC1's being more intense, and the sparkling trichomes is beautiful stuff excited to try them.
