Week 18

🌈Weather changed a lot during this 2 week, alternating sun and rain with medium temperature: low in the morning 8°C and 22/24°C the afternoon. Cold wind: Autumn is coming soon! 🍃
This is the middle of the flowering cycle for 2 plants and the beginning for the others; and it’s harder than I imagined. Interminable war against pests: caterpillars and leafminer flies (+ guest :aphids). However the environment is clean, there is some sticky traps, ventilation and preventives treatments (Neem Oil, Garlic/Laurel) but infestation are a recurring problem 😩.
Majors reasons of the proliferation are the hot temperatures in greenhouse, the quasi inexistants natural predators, humidity, plants proximity.
September is the reproduction period of the cabbage looper: a butterfly which lays eggs on plants giving some hungry caterpillars.
Some others pests are attracted by the nitrogen added in soil (batguano)
I did a serious defoliation, continue to check the plants morning and night to catch intruders, sprayed regularly with Neem oil.
For the moment the flowering continues.
-Brake Pad Breath: plant has definitely changed of physiognomy, branches are covered by a lots of resinous flowers with a pretty good smell. Indica dominance. Around 3 or 4 weeks till the harvest. It will be long: the plant is a victim of pests and caterpillars and lots of leaves are damaged.
-Flash Back#2: elegant plant, pretty good flowering since 3 weeks. Globally healthy despite of the pests aggression. Sativa dominance with long internodes distance and a vigorous stretch.
-GMO x Zombie Kush: same difficulties against predators, late flowering, just initiated the flowering process but in a good way.
-Royal Moby: the tallest one; around 170cm, not really adapted to dimensions of the growing space and not discrete. Plants was really shocked during the first wave of pests and after the sunburn. Late flowering, Sativa.

Hello grow friends,
Today is the start of Week 7 and it‘s day 40 of groth for the plants. It‘s safe to say, they transitioned nicely into flower and spread evenly throughout the tent. It was pretty time consuming to get enough light to the lower branches but it seemes to be paying off. At the start of next week, I have a heavy defolition planed so at day 21 of flower most of the fanleaves will be cut off. This will help tremendously with the high humidity i‘m dealing with. Somehow I still manage to get it down but I still have a job to go to and not much time to devote. Anyways, c you soon guys and have a great start to the week. 🤟🏼

I love all my plants, but this Euphoria has been my favorite since the start of this journey. A REAL MONSTER since the beginnings!!!
By the way, I’ve had a BIG PROBLEM with my digital timer after the 12/12 switch: the led panel didn’t switch off completely because of one defective timer. A little light was always there, like the light of the Moon. This caused the plants not to flower for about two weeks.
The other problem is that I immediately switched to the bloom nuts schedule and completed 3 weeks of it. But the flowering period is about to start now!! Thanks to Mr_Di, we’ve realized it’s better to give these current nuts for the next 3 weeks, just reducing B-52 and Bud Bud by 50% (because it could be a little too much). After 3 weeks, I’ll resume with the normal schedule for week 4. I know it’s a bit tricky, but if you have other solutions, please leave a comment below! I can’t flush now, because it’s risky and I should do it to all my 9 plants. Unfortunately that’s not an option!!
DESPITE THESE PROBLEMS, flowering here is about to start, YAY, and you can see that from the photos!! See you next week, buds! 👊

Very hot weather, girls are managing better than I thought.
Cleaned up all the girls extra leaves, really needed to get some more airflow through it
Cut out 2 small nugs that had a little bit of spiderweb mildew
Done nutrients and done instant compost tea

Day 80 ~ Plants are looking and smelling great. I have been keeping an eye on the trichomes for the first plant and she looks like she will be ready right after the harvest moon! So I am excited to harvest her on Friday. While plant 2 is still another week and a half to 2 weeks away!

Still only fed every other day, should've started feeding every day if not twice a day by now. Also regret not trimming up more this week, the lack of defoliation definitely hurt the size and yields of the buds. As a first time grower, it was confusing how the buds would form and how intense the defoliating was needed to be. Learned that doing a heavy stripping on Week 3 of flower is ideal for chunkier nugs. These emerging flowers were super refreshing to see at the time.

Today i defoliated both plants heavily for the last time, you can say i did a method called: schwazzing.
Dont know why but while i was defoliating the Chemdog smelled a little bit like soap haha.
Turned on the reservoir for a couple of minutes. (Till the AutoPots are full and the valve closes)
Rised the pots aswell, so the canopy is very even.
I let them recover from the heavy defoliation i did, and next week i will slowly increase the light's strength. (Now still at 50% 50cm)

I really love this strain. It's very powerful and growing is quite simple. These are seeds that I've won on GD from Dinafem and I've to say thanks to both. Dinafem for the perfect seeds and GD where I've learned a lot about growing this lovely plant!

I had to improvise something to pull the lights higher because these girls are getting really tall!
their buds are filling with sticky trichomes like glue! mmmmm a sweet lemon aroma can already be perceived!
damn ... I can't wait!

Week 8 today

Over vert over last few weeks but guys this is normally a 8 week strain what else could be showering down there progress, fresh new white growth appearing at week 8 I’m pritty new to growing this is my 3rd run advice needed hear,
Led Zeus 600 pro at 300mm hanging at75%
Lumi black 720 at 350mm hanging at 75%
Should I knock back the clock to lower DLI ? Should increase ? They not finishing up to how they should do ? I did strip at day 21 and a small amount agin at day 42 could this be the reason. Help me out please

Managed to sex out the males this week, especially since the girls were putting out some pre-flower pistils. Moved others around a little using my potato fork and now everyone is in a much better spacing. Bummer that 2 out of 3 were males, but that's ok! The ladies that are left will have more room to stretch. I gave them a little Big Bloom and some molasses.
