Day 98: Fertigated 10l Hello growmies and welcome to week 15 for Nesia - this superb Amnesia Haze Auto from Fast Buds. Nesia continues to amaze me as by far my largest plant. If you have been following my grow series you will know that I recently harvested Karen, who was dwarfed by Nesia, and Karen has yielded 160g dry. So I am properly excited to see if Nesia can set me a new yield record! I think she can and will! Day 100: So I can no longer move her out of the tent to photograph, she is just too big and too heavy with bud. It is recipe for disaster. So for the rest of the grow I will be doing my best to get good photographs in the tent. I hope that's okay, because I don't have a choice really. Anyway she is a photogenic girl to say the least so I am not too concerned. I am really enjoying this new camera, I need to explore the limits! Plant #1, 2, 3 and 4, which undergone main-lining, are taller (105cm) than plant #5 (90cm) which didn't. Instead plant #5 shows flowers slightly bigger than the other plants. All the plants are in good health. I cut few yellow leaves on the lower branches and add some soil near the plant trunk because, due to watering, some of the top roots were not covered anymore. Smell it is not so strong but after having touch the plants, hands are quite scented

6th week of flowering. The flowers are almost fully formed, they just need to fatten up and share. It's noticeable that they're drinking a lot of water and also that it's hotter than the previous months, so it evaporates faster.

At the end of week 8 the BMR is showing signs of further yellowing of the leaves could be the plant has used up all the nutrients in the substrate. The bracts are swelling up and the try chromes and more clear looking like 60%. The lady will continue to receive pure balanced phd water until the end of her bloom cycle!

So, sad day friends. I got spider mites and had to throw all my plants out. This is what I think happened: About 2-3 weeks ago I noticed some freckling on the lower leaves. I looked at it and thought it might be a cal/mag issue so I added cal/mag that week and went about my business. I saw it about a week later and it wasn''t getting any better so I added more cal/mag. This continued for about 2-3 weeks until I finally took off a leaf and examined it under my microscope. I saw little bugs crawling everywhere and my stomach just dropped. My fiance did some quick research while I was panic ripping leaves off (see pictures) and she correctly diagnosed it as spider mites. I debated with myself and my close friend and ultimately I decided to throw all the plants in my tent away. I know that there are a lot of people who will say that there are things I could have done to make it to harvest but what it came down to is the people I take care of and personal pride. I consider myself a caregiver and I give away product for free that I am not going to use to my family and close friends. I thought to myself "Would you smoke this?" and when my answer was "ehhh, I don''t know", I thought about how it would feel giving it away and immediately made the decision to destroy them. I take an immense amount of pride in my product and this hobby and if I am not going to stand behind it I would rather just start over. I grow from my heart (shout out to the Grow From Your Heart Podcast!) to help people and make sure my family is not getting unsafe product from sketchy people. To spray pesticides in flower that may hurt people and have little bug carcasses in there just goes against that in every way and is just wrong in my opinion if you are giving it away to others. If you are the only one smoking it then it is one thing to take that risk but not with your patients. I want my medicine to help people, not create or exacerbate health issues. It is also important to note that the mites had moved from my flower tent into my veg space and took over my auto berry as well. Damn things are crafty and fast. So that is why I made the decision to destroy them all after 3 months of res changes, pruning, and manifolding on a slow vegging strain. Feel free to chime in with your opinion but I do not and will not regret my decision. I threw out my new clones, mother plant, and auto berry I had on my veg side as well. Shout out to all the other growers out there that do the right thing by their patients. Caregivers > Cash croppers. For anyone curious, I removed everything from my tent and scrubbed it all with a 20% bleach/water solution. All equipment has been wiped down and stored in the garage away from any organic materials. I will give them until tomorrow (2 days) to air out and dry and then I will wipe it down again with bleach and wait another 2 days. Hopefully that will make sure everything is dead and will not come back next grow. That next grow should start in about a week. It sucks but sometimes it happens and you gotta be ready for it. Lesson learned. Never bring outdoor plants into your indoor garden even if it is after just a day or two. A bunch of people on here and Reddit warned me and I did not listen. Day 37 - Did a little defoliating, I’m really hoping it doesn’t stunt her too much. Guess time will tell! Day 38 - Everything seems to be ok after defoliating a bit yesterday, just feeding and waiting on her to really start flowering! Day 39 - No major changes with her, still growing like a weed. Day 40 - Still looking good. Day 41 - Just waiting on her to start flowering. Pistils are popping but no budding yet. Day 42 - Growing like a weed for sure! Really starting to stretch. Think she might be starting to flower finally. Hopefully, cause she’s gonna outgrow the tent if she keeps stretching!

As my second Viperspectra light hasn't arrived yet, I've temporarily supplemented with my old red/blue LED grow lights (likely best for veg only) from China.

*Week 4 Flower 09/24* Both Mimosa girls appear to be running fine with Mimosa (1) running a little behind but is catching up accordingly. Small oversight in early growth resulted in a minor stunt but she is improving dramatically. Water Feed has increased by half a gallon ( 1gallon clean - .5 gallon nute feed) *Week 4 Flower 09/28 - Mid week update* Both plants are flowering accordingly - Mimosa (1) is a bit taller then Mimosa (2) Buds are becoming dense and covered in trichomes. No deficiencies - No areas of concern - Potassium and Phosphate feeds continue *Week 5 Flower end of week recap - 09/30* Both Mimosa's are flowering nicely - Budsites covered in frosty trichomes. Mimosa (2) looks shorter but that is because her COLA was tied down to expose bottom budsites.
