Just wanna smoke! Smells amazing, now is getting real started, buds are juice and shines like a star 😍 I think my buds is a little thigth and close to each other, I tried to use some rubber band but ended up trimming some leaf. I'm not sure about fan leaf and they you need, but if they are covering building buds I take them. 🌿 Lava Cake – Week 5 (First Week Flower) | Pre-Bloom & Heat Talk 🌿 The Lava Cakes have officially stepped into their flowering tent… though, to be fair, they’re still enjoying a little extra veg time before showing pistils. Both phenos are healthy, lush, and stretching beautifully, clearly ready for the show ahead. ⸻ 📸 Photo Studio Glam We took them out for another studio shoot, bright lights, clean background, and every angle showing off their deep greens and perfect branching. Soon, their beauty will be dressed in flowers, but for now, the leaf structure alone is worthy of the spotlight. ⸻ 🌡️ Current Conditions • Room Temp: 31°C • Humidity: 50.3% • VPD: 2.23 kPa • PPFD: 766 µmol/m²/s • Soil EC: ~2.0 • Soil Temp: 25.6°C Yes, the temperature is running hot — AC unit is on the way to lock it back into our ideal zone. ⸻ 💬 Heat in the Grow Room – Risks & Benefits Potential Risks: • Faster substrate drying = more frequent irrigation needed • Higher transpiration rates can stress plants if roots can’t keep up • Slightly increased risk of light stress at high PPFD without proper cooling • Possible reduced terpene retention if sustained into late flower Possible Benefits (short term in veg/pre-flower): • Accelerated metabolism — plants grow and stretch faster • Increased water/nutrient uptake (if well-fed and watered on time) • Can improve CO₂ usage efficiency if levels are high enough Bottom line: As long as they’re hydrated, fed, and ventilated, short bursts of high temp are manageable. But for flowering, we want to keep daytime temps closer to 24–28°C for optimal quality. ⸻ 💧 Watering Strategy We water when the soil dries to about 25% moisture remaining, this encourages: • Stronger root growth searching for water • Better oxygenation of the root zone • Less risk of root rot in warm temps Right now: They’re drinking daily due to the heat, so we’re feeding daily as well. ⸻ Current Feeding (per L of water) • Aptus Regulator – 0.15 ml • Aptus CalMag Boost – 0.25 ml • Aptus All-in-One Liquid – 1 ml • Aptus Top Booster – 0.25 ml With the increased drinking rate, nutrient uptake has increased — meaning no signs of deficiency, just steady lush green. ⸻ 🚀 Looking Ahead • AC installation will stabilize temps, allowing tighter VPD control • First signs of pistils should appear within the next 7–10 days • We’ll begin adjusting feed ratios for early bloom once flowers set • Light intensity will climb further as stretch continues ⸻ 💚 Closing Note: This week is all about momentum, heat or no heat, the Lava Cakes are pushing upward, prepping themselves for a heavy flower load. Va un poco lento el engrosamiento de esos cogollos, pero la planta se ve bien en general, pudo haber estado mejor si hubiera recibido más luz creo yo, pero huele delicioso 😋 y tiene unos colores hermosos, ya quiero ver el resultado final 🌱

I started flushing her on day 51, the buds already look like they’re swelling more aggressively. She is also expressing some dark purple tones on the buds up top. I had an issue with her almost falling over on herself so I gave her some resistance towards the opposite side. A few more flushes and I’ll cut her down. Day 60- her purple tones have really been showing up, today they were very noticeable, still no sign of amber trichomes, the majority are cloudy though.

Week 7 Flower With this week being her last week of nutrient feedings before flush, I've reduced the overall strength and stopped feeding bud explosion as she doesn't need such high amounts anymore. Nature's candy and molasses are still being added at the same amounts, for optimum nutrient uptake and to also carry on feeding the microbes. They also help with trichome production and increase flavour/aroma. Her buds just keep on growing and growing and she's forever getting taller and taller, to the point where her tallest cola's are extremely close to growing taller than the light! Only an inch or two to go and she'll surpass the reflector! Although this doesn't bother me in the slightest, because every inch below that, all the way down to the net is nothing but flowers! She doesn't smell too strong at the moment, especially with other strains in the tent giving off different scents, but she's unbelievably huge. She has arm length cola's filled with buds. The fattest parts of a few of her cola's are almost coke can width! She's not going to stop putting on weight and swelling just yet, so I've tied a few more branches up similar to how the yoyo style strings to keep them from flopping all over the Surf Purps. A couple of branches at the back corner are getting pounded by the fan; their flowers aren't showing any damage but there's a few wind burn marks on some fan leaves. Of course this isn't ideal, but I'm unable to move the fan at the moment with another plant being in the way, and there's also no better position in the tent for it currently. It's not doing much damage so I'm not too worried at the moment. Next week she starts flush! 🚽💦 Thanks for following and happy growing! 🐺

I have transplanted into Dutch buckets. Filled with perlite. And all are now in the Greenhouse. Doing great. These are watered 4 times a day for 1 minute. This girl is looking great. Preflowers are out.

I was expecting a slower plant, but the yellow pisils proving I was wrong. I added Canna Flush to the mix and from this point I will monitoring daily the trichomes.

The trichomes towards the end of this week had started to go slightly cloudy so I decided not to feed and to start the flushing process instead. I flushed the medium with a couple of litres of water per plant until I got a good amount of run off. I think I may have not back off the nuets enough on the few last feeds as the majority of the leafs on all 4 plants are still quiet dark green in colour with no yellowing. I did a good amount of defoliation at the start of week to try and get as much light to the lower areas as possible. The buds are still developing ok I think they feel dense, they won’t be massive buds but I am hopeful for a decent yield overall. The smell is strong but the carbon filter is working great. Happy growing so far 🤞🏻

Ladies are getting fat! As of day 69 (Feb 12) we have started CropSalt CAKE feeding. Time to get even frostier and fatter. They are still drinking over a gallon a day each easily. If you have any questions for me, please feel free to ask! I want to help others grow Autoflowers like this.

This is the last week for our Tangerine Dream. The same like with my first two plants: bud rot because of very wet conditions. So here I already had experience to spot it early and I lost approximately some grams of the wet top flower. The week was simple. No water, three days no light at all. Life ends in our basement.
