Day 21: I still have my garden on a 6-2 light schedule and my two plants that i stunted do to overwatering are slowly making a come back. I am going to keep them as i am a optimistic person so im hoping for the best but to say the least it will help me learn how to deal with different problems as they arise and teach me how to manage a garden this size. I only low stress trained for 1 day which was the day that i took the pictures a few days ago. I didnt feel confident when i started it mostly because of the size and felt like i was starting the process to late. If its not to late feel free to let me know and ill try to start it again, other than that as always feel free to drop some tips and happy growing. Noticed some slight tacoing on leaves, changed to my 18/6 light schedule to help control temps and give some rest. Noticed some nute burning also, will full flush next week.

Welcome to Week 1 of the Sweet Seeds Gorilla Girl XL Autoflowering grow courtesy of the fine folks at Sweet Seeds! This is the second of three consecutive grows/diaries that I am doing to showcase the tried and tested genetics from this reputable seed breeder. My last grow was a smashing success so I have high hopes for this grow as well. Nothing much to report for Week #1 although I will mention that the first watering was only 0.7 of a litre per plant (0.18 of a litre per plant per day) and the second was 1.4 litres per plant (0.35 of a litre per plant per day). I am watering on my usual schedule of every fourth day as this seems to be the sweet spot throughout past grows. I am using the usual- air bubbled tap water that is PH’d to around 6.0 and if need be (over the winter months in Canada) warmed to 68-70 degrees prior to hand watering with a small watering can. The seedling that lost one of it’s cotyledon leaves is fine but still a little smaller than her sisters. So now on to Mom’s tip of the week… Mom’s Tip for Week #1 is- YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR- QUALITY IS KEY!… When considering growing Cannabis, even on a small scale, quality is an important factor in all aspects from the seeds to set up to the supplies used throughout the grow. Starting with seeds from a established breeder will raise the odds considerably in your favour for a successful outcome. Many seed companies are more than willing to ship out freebies while building up their brands which seems attractive to new growers- but use at your own risk! There’s nothing worse than being halfway through a grow and discovering male flowers tucked in amongst the lowest branches or realizing that your beautiful buds have been mysteriously pollinated just weeks before harvest. I know that seeds from a reputable seed breeder are usually more expensive and can be hard to access in certain parts of the world. But purchasing quality seeds from a reputable seed company is the first step towards homegrown Cannabis success. An area that new growers often overlook due to the high price is the quality of crucial components in their set up- including tent, lights, and intake/exhaust fans. Anyone can get away with cheaper pots, oscillating corner fans, water pumps for dechlorination, etc but it’s worth every penny investing into the workhorses of your entire operation. An initial investment of around two thousand dollars will provide serious growers with the longevity and hassle free basics needed. If done right, quality components will pay for themselves within the first 6-12 months of use and continue to serve your needs for 3-5 years to come. Supplies used throughout the grow are the final area where quality is important but somewhat subjective too. Although I’ve already stated that I don’t feel the need to spend big dollars on all the extras (pots, oscillating fans, water pumps for dechlorination, PH/moisture meters, etc- I do believe in doing my homework to make sure that I’m getting the best bang for my buck. I thoroughly research every item purchased and used in my grows by reading customer reviews, speaking with other growers and sometimes even trial and error at my own expense. Making quality an important factor in all aspects of Cannabis cultivation will benefit you, your grows and the planet we live on. 🌳🌎🌳

AvT oh my she just stinks and I'm not sure is a pleasant smell. She is 22 inches tall and just as wide, filling her space nicely. Defoleated her. She is bottom heavy, branches are low and wide. Hung second light so things should be happening. Increased newts to 680 ppm. All things considered this plant is doing great, and really has a strong smell.

Another smooth week with the continued issues ive previously addressed. Trichomes are multiplying and buds have grown some. With the dehumidifier running pretty much constantly, it has bypassed my carbon filter. (I have my dehumidifier extract from outside the so I'm not adding additional, unwanted, heat.) Smell is very evident within the entire room. Final week of feeding and I have turned my reds down to 50%. Took trichome shots for fun around the front of the plant.

🌿Week 4: Defoliation & SCROG Setup Week 4 was all about structure and airflow. The canopy was getting bushy fast, with a ton of inner growth, so we went in for a solid defoliation session across the board. Lower fans, overlapping leaves, and shaded internodes were cleaned up to let light penetrate deeper into the canopy and reduce potential humidity traps. Right after that, we finally dropped the SCROG net, stretched out gently across the canopy to guide the branches horizontally and prep for flower stacking. Some of these phenos are already reaching for the sky, so the timing felt just right. Captured a full-time-lapse clip of the defoliation + netting process. It’s super satisfying watching the chaos turn into clean lines. Nature meets intention. Feed Bloom since 20/6 22/6 Defoliation 🌱 Plant Response: After defol, they bounced back fast. Tops are perky, leaves are praying, and stretch is continuing in a controlled way. The structure’s more open now — better airflow, better light distribution, better everything.

TF has never looked the healthiest with the first time using HydroSol + H202 water soluble feed. I think i have the ratio/some sroted to where I've seen improvements. First improvements i have seen are: 1. NO Nutritional burn or Lockout! (non-salt based). P.s ignore the over salas 12% HP at the start (no idea what i was thinking). Sometimes being ahead; means i am a being with a head that makes human errors. Oh, the joys of plant-discovery. Sorry side tracked lol 2. Quicker Absorbing witb water soluble food. As long as she's hydrated she's eating! 3. No idea yet Have a ball!! Listening to this relaxing and i started thibking about Spirituality and how its included in all faiths. Week 5 for 9lb hammer, has been topped once. Still only getting fed plain water, its going to be time to introduce some FPJ soon to her feeding. Still waiting for some gender signs to reveal themselves, when it does so ill be starting to transition them outdoors. Added a little sneak peek of the other 4 siblings in the video that are also waiting to reveal their gender. (the 4 siblings are a few weeks younger... but don't have an exact date for them, forgot to note it down) Mind the colouring in the picture/video as i try to make them less yellow from the HPS light😂

It's been a colder week (from what i heard) sooooo Some of the bud sites have like 30-50% brown pistols while others are only having 10% this kind of coresponds with the trichromes .... If the bloody plant can't decide wheter it wants be to cut down or not i go King Solomon and do a 50/50.... let some parts with mainly white pistols grow for another week or so! It's getting dark quiet early now so let's see how if i get some more yield out of the remaining plant and maybe denser buds ... Also my balcony smells like a pine forest absolutly lovely !

Simply planted the seeds a half inch below soil and watered them in... they each sprouted within 3-4 days.
