Amnesia: Chopped and now hanging in my drying area, looking nice and exuding scents of tropical fruit and sour pungency. Very satisfied with how she finished this time around. Gelato: Nice, plush looking nugs that are quite dense and smells sweet but with lime tinged pungent notes. Big stature as expected from this strain, promising signs for the yield to come. Watermelon Zkittlez: Sugar frosted, glittery buds that look headstash-quality right on the plant, definitely has bag appeal. Fruit Candy smell and encrusted colas resembling snow cones and christmas trees. California Orange: Mighty towers of shining, citrus juiced buds, with foxtails out the wazoo. Yield monster of the run, despite getting latest start. Legend status. Check out the video for shots of the Amnesia buds at harvest. Cheers, i reckon the Gelato’ll be up next on the chopping block.

Hello GD Crew!!! I’m glad to finally be back with a new diary. A LOT has happened since my last diary. The large room I was using back then got infested with spider mites. For a while I thought I had them beat, but they came back with a vengeance. So I thoroughly cleaned my 2x4 tent and set it up in the opposite side of the house. However, that part of the house is also now my new man cave and was under construction until a few months ago (its still not completely done yet, but close enough). I have also switched back to LED lighting. I’m using a pair of Spider Farmer SF1000’s (100w) LED’s. I was using a 315w CMH fixture but felt I was getting better results with my old blurple ViparSpectra’s (both of which have died). Also, it was getting too hot in the tent with the CMH. To be completely honest the best weed I’ve ever grown was using a 1000w HPS, but that could possible melt a 2x4 tent and I’d be tripping circuit breakers all the time again. After a lot of research it looked like the Spider Farmer SF1000’s were the best bang for the buck in the LED market these days. They have the right components (Samsung LM301B diodes and MeanWell drivers) and have great specs. I was able to purchase them on Amazon Prime Day for $129/each (USD). For soil I’m using Coast of Main Stonington Blend Grower’s Mix. I had been previously trying to amend and reuse old soil or mix old soil 50/50 with new soil and in retrospect that was a mistake. The PH was totally unpredictable as were what nutrients were available or deficient. I felt like I was always trying to fix soil problems and one thing would lead to another. So, from now on its fresh soil in every pot. I’m using 3 gallon pots with self watering reservoirs at the bottom. In addition to the Coast of Main Stonington Blend I’m also using Sungro Black Gold Seedling Mix. I filled the 3 gallon pots with the Coast of Main Stonington Blend first, then dig out a hole in the middle about the size of a grapefruit and filled that hole with the Sungro Black Gold Seedling Mix. Then I planted the seeds about knuckle deep in the middle of the Seedling Mix. This seemed to work great, both pots had small seedlings appear in 5 days. This diary will focus primarily on FastBuds BlackBerry, but I am also growing a DinaFem Critical+ Auto at the same time. I’ve grown both of these strains a few times in the past with mixed results. But, I’m hoping this grow will be far greater than those in the past. My plan is to allow the Coast of Main Stonington Blend act as the ‘super soil’ it is supposed to be and not add any additional nutrients. I will however be adding RealGrowers Recharge on a regular basis (I love that stuff, it really makes a difference) and will probably also add some CalMag once in a while. But that’s all. Additionally, I do not plan on doing much training with these girls. I will LST bend them over at a 45 degree angle around the time they hit their flowering stretch, but that’s all. Bending at a 45 degree angle gives better exposure to lower branches and allows those lower branches to produce larger tops. Hoping for the best!!! Please feel free to comment and follow. so... was of to any awesome start to the week topped them and started low stress training but at the end off all of it.... my torque got caught on the wire and she got more of a topping then planned thats for sure!!! ill just let here go for gold now leave her be.. had bad root rot and the only thing i can get in Australia is root stop unless someone knows something better..... i soaked the two dwc in the root stop substance for 4-8 hours... it seems to have lightened the root colours. i decided to cut the one that had root rot bad and cleaned and prepared it to transplant it to coco...

Day 85 - We're into a new week! She's still got a way to go yet, but she's putting on mass like no other plant I've grown. Her colas, as you can see in one of the pics from last week, are bigger than gallon jugs. The whole plant is top heavy and I have to be extra careful when pulling her lid to the side to feed her. Her mass is getting wider as well, from the sheer weight of her colas. She's drinking about a gallon a day and showing no signs of letting up. Day 91 - End of week 13! - She's not done yet, but getting there. Upkeep is pretty much just dumping a gallon of new feed into her every two days or so. I'm pretty excited to see what her yield is at this point, because lifting her out to refill her actually take a bit of muscling.

Hello Diary. The second week of flowering is behind me. There’s already a real jungle in the box, and as I announced last week, I did my first defoliation this week. I removed all the leaves from the lower branches and thus allowed her better airflow since there are three plants in the box. Two Haze Berry Auto and one Fat Banana Auto. As you can see in the pictures, the plants are really beautiful, with a bunch of flowers that fill up and develop nicely. Watering is every third day, when each plant in the box receives approximately 2.5 liters of water. I started adding CalMg preventively, 1.5 ml / lit and I continue with BioBizz, I will add it by feeling so we will see how the plants will react to that. Here's what the week looked like: 23/10/2020 - Day 29. Watering. This time I only added CalMg without BioBizz. p.H I regulated to 6.4 and the temperature of the water I water with is always around 20 degrees. Temp / Humidity on the farm - 26.5 degrees and 51% humidity. 24/10/2020 - Day 30. Defoliation. As I wrote earlier, I cleaned the leaves on the lower branches and allowed better airflow and easier watering. 26/10/2020 - Day 32. Watering. I always prepare about 8 liters of water with which I water all three plants. This time I added both CalMg and BioBizz. p.H. - 6.4 Temp / Humidity on the farm - 25.4 degrees and 44% humidity. 29/10/2020 - Day 35. Photographing and watering. I took photos for this week just in the box. I think I will only take photos on a black background for the last two weeks of flowering so as not to disturb them too much. I then watered the plants only with water with regulated p.H at 6.4. That's all for this week, so far everything is great and I hope it will continue that way. See you soon.

July 5 - other crops on the lateral branches, growing strong every day 💚🔥

These week we see a big bud evolution, they're strong and healthy, i can not wait to tryout more strains from SweetseedS. The p.p.m is also a little more higher than the last week because we add 2 ml. Of biobizz biobloom on our weekly feeding and all ready for the 3 week of flowers

I guess I first have to extend a big thank you to James and the folks at RQS. The genetics of their “Northern Light” did not disappoint and this was a no fuss grow across all categories. This will be the only time you hear me refer to Northern Lights in the singular. It’s kinda like calling a “pickerel” a “walleye” - you just don’t do that up here😉. She took well to training, showed no signs of lockout or deficiency, and we were at the top limits of botanicare’s recommended feeding schedule the whole time. I’d call this typical NL - the scent wasn’t overly powerful, she grew somewhat squat and while I’m actually very surprised at the final weigh (thought it would be much less), the whole grow was typical of the strain in my experience. Possibly her biggest limiting factor was simply space constraints. The photos pretty obviously demonstrate that she got really crowded out by the neighbouring kush and I wouldn’t be surprised at all if she’d have done a little better with some more room. That said, what isn’t “typical” are the effects. RQS touts this as a cup winner and I can see why. Had the opportunity to sample a little and WHOA! She Hits with a lasting, cerebral and euphoric effect that starts as a light, happy high. Not a crippling or dulling effect at all. Just everything you’d expect from a well rounded strain in general. Perfect. I almost wanna describe it as a classic sativa but I’ve been smoking nothing but a pure indica for so many months now that anything different is gonna feel that way 😂. A lot of growth this week, the back right is rather spindly and tall compared to the rest so will need to train her down quite a bit I think. I have some soft ties coming in the post tomorrow so will be doing some extensive LST over the next few days, aiming to spread out taller plants and giving the shorter ones a chance to catch up. I did do some HST this week, but I botched a few up and had to add a splint to one of them. The tall one also has a couple yo-yo supports as she was leaning over a little bit. PH swings are less frequent but do happen from time to time, went as low as 4.7 PH during lights out but doesn’t seem to have affected them. I am determined to have an even canopy by the end of the transition period this time 💪

Week 6 Vegetation - "Ruby's" rate of growth continued to increase near the beginning of the week. As expected, this plant is overtaking the twin plant in terms of growth rate now that the bushy triplicate foundation is developed. Kinda reminds me of the "Tortoise & Hare" story about slow and steady winning the race XD With the nodes stretching and growing quickly, I've started to implement tucking of the larger fan leaves under new and smaller shoots. I find this "new growth priority" method paired with LST really maximizes and speeds up the growth in comparison to an untrained plant. Merely anecdotal though! You'll notice that in the 3rd shot, the nodes stretched out in about 2 days and just ballooned! now that's what I'm talking about! nearing the middle of the week and the rate of growth is fast enough that I can't remember to take enough pictures between the new nodes. At this point I'm tucking new leaves almost daily, making paths for the light to reach new growth tips. By the end of the week, I'll need to start tying the nodes to the side before they stretch too far up. If they stretch too far before tying them, they can be a PITA to tie down later with dense foliage and such. Tying them down before they get to this point also keeps the nutrients moving to the "new side-nodes" from these branches. Eventually these will be just as thick as the original main stalk. Luckily this plant seems to be bulking just as much as stretching - yay! UPDATE: As you can see with the last photos added, the branches are almost even with the original top of the plant that was tied down. I gave them a thorough fertigation the night before, and only slight folding of the leaves so I must have choked the roots a bit, but nothing long term.
