This diary will be special to me for two reasons, one because I have the opportunity to cultivate some new and exciting strains from two of the TOP breeders in the industry! The second reason this will be special to me is that I will be growing these two strains in a brand new greenhouse that I put up! I'm super stoked to see how these two ladies turn out in this new setup. On to the strains: 'Tester' Strain A info: Hybrid (I/S) | 6-7 weeks flowering | Fruity, Sweet, Candy 'Tester' Strain B info: Indica-Dominant (90%) | 7 weeks flowering | Fruity, Peppery, Sweet I hope that you enjoy this run as much as I will... It's going to be fun and interesting for sure! ~GROW WHAT YOU LOVE, LOVE WHAT YOU GROW!~ ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ The Setup: These beauties will be growing in a brand spanking new 10x14' greenhouse that I have equipped with automatic window openers, a complement of Hurricane fans and a de-humidifier/heater to help keep the environment as dialed in as possible. I started both tester in glasses of tap water, where they soaked for 24hrs. After soaking, they were placed directly into whole eggshells with just their tops removed to make a natural seed starting pot that I filled with a 70/30 blend of Coco/Perlite which was pre-moistened with well water ph'd to 6.2, then placed under a 50w full spectrum LED on a 24hr light schedule. Once, they both have their second set of leaves emerged, I plan on starting to put them in the greenhouse for 2-3 hour a day for a few days to help them acclimate and 'harden off' in the greenhouse. I'll be starting both off in 1qt pots, then transplanting them into to gradually larger pots until they're around 6 weeks old, then they will go into their final pots which are 25g fabric pots. I mix my initial medium using 3 tbsp/g of Gaia Green Organics 4-4-4 along with 1 tbsp/g of Gaia Green Organics Glacial Rock Dust for the trace minerals it provides, 1 tbsp/g of Down To Earth Kelp Meal, 1 tbsp/g of Trichoderma/Mycorrhizae, and 1 cup/g of Wiggle Worm Castings. I hand mix my amendments to ensure an even distribution throughout the medium. I'll be watering with well water ph'd to 6.2-6.8 and providing bi-weekly compost tea's throughout the run. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Weekly Updates: 5/1- Week Three of veg is here for the pair of 'Testers' from SSSC/Dutch Passion Seeds. Both 'Testers' continue to do exceptionally well despite temp's in the greenhouse reaching just over 90℉ at the peak of the day. Both continue to show great vigor, color and are both constantly 'praying'! 5/3- Watering both continues every 2-3 days depending on what the plants want. Both girls are looking like champs! 5/5- Today I watered both with 8oz. of well water, to which I added 1 tsp. of Uncle Willies Worm Tea Concentrate. 5/6- Well fam, the Third week of veg is in the rear view mirror for these two beautiful 'Testers' from SSSC and Dutch Passion. Unfortunately, I have to go out of state for 7-10 days because of a family emergency, so I won't have pic's for next week. I will have a family member looking after the plants in the greenhouse to make sure all survive until I return! ***Note that I started to count the days when I placed the seeds between paper towels. The seeds were planted 3 days later and sprouted from the ground 2 days after being planted. D80 (13/05/2021): I'm looking at the trichomes every other days. Glue Gelato is starting to show amber on top buds. No amber for Banana Kush and Gelato. This time I will chop them all at the same time so the one I will rely on is the Glue Gelato. As soon as she is ready, I will harvest them all. Banana Kush and Gelato would probably need more, but in term of logistic, I need to harvest all my plants at the same time. D83 (16/05/2021): Not ready yet. I'm checking trichomes closely! 😬 - Light: the lights are at 100% and at 12 inch form the plants. - Temperature: during the day: 24-25C ; during the night: 20C. - Humidity: the humidity is maintain around 46-48% all the time. - Air circulation: There is an oscillating fan on the ground, one fixed fan pointing on top of the canopy and one fixed fan to help cool the lights. - Water: I gave water every other day or when the ground feel dry or the pots feels light. - ***IPM: I never mention it but I'm using nematodes pouch as an integrated pest management. I had trouble with pest in my first grow and I learned from it. That's the only thing I do for pest and of course watching closely and regularly at my plants 😊

Ya a poco mas de 3 semanas de terminar nuestro cultivo. Nuestras niñas siguen manteniendo su buen color y están engordando bastante bien. El olor ya comenzó a ser un tema a tener en consideración debido a que el olor dulce esta emanando cada vez con mas fuerza. Seguimos alimentando a nuestras niñas con fertilizantes BAC y esta ultima semana agregamos PK Booster para su engorde (solamente a las foto dependientes). Hasta el momento, todo va sobre ruedas y sin ningún tipo de exceso o carencia a tener en consideración y se espera que para terminado el proceso se mantenga así.

All round great strain to grow , responds well to lolly popping technique , produced around 8/9 good main colas ,, covered in resinous terps with a strong earthy smell … I cannot wait to try this one she’s a beautifull looking plant DRSHOTZUK🍀🍀💚💚

The plant is now driving to her max. The Salt stress is now in his highest point. The trichome production is still going one. Im still happy with the results :D

Hey guys! Another update! 😃 This week is going to be the last one that I feed the plants and after that I'm going to just flush them for just one week. I took photos during the middle of the week just to see how trichomes were developing and there are more ambar! I want the top colas to be about 50% ambar and 50% cloudy while the ones below 30% ambar and 70% cloudy and I think I'll be able to reach that with ease. Besides that this week was relaxing, no big issues! And I've been removing more fan leaves so when the right moment arrive it'll be easier to clean the plant! And that way I can get some extra development in lower colas. The smell is strong now compared to other weeks (it's been getting stronger every week!) 😲 PD: The question is still up! Grow diary for week 18: The final week Hello, dear grower friends! I’m here with the final update on my plants in week 18. This is my first grow and I’m overjoyed by how it turned out. I’m thankful for all the support and feedback I’ve received from you and the “Wonderful Social Group”. The harvest was delayed a bit, but today I have good news: I just harvested the plants and they look amazing. I will dry trim them, as this offers me the most comfort. I’m happy to show you the buds in the following days, they are big and beautiful. It was a fantastic journey with many ups and downs, but I will definitely continue this hobby. Apart from the help of this community, which was really fantastic, I met some great people and had some nice exchanges. So, every plant goes with its rhythm... I think no1 is about to be harvest or are least flush now. Small yield for sure but plants seem to be ok.

Getting close to harvest, maybe one or two weeks more. I had some powdery mildew starting on one plant so I cut those out, drying them now.
