Growdiaries Grow 22

Welcome to my 22nd grow on growdiaries. I'm going to be stricter on this grow as i have been a bit lax on the last few and let them get out of control.
My plan is no more then 12 colas between the 2 plants. I'm going to have a shorter veg period to keep them at a reasonable height. I'm also going to try to keep them away from the sides of the tent more then I normally do.
Because I may be going away shortly I'm going to start in the final pot because sods law I'll be away when they need potting up.
I'm running 2 photoperiods again, they are both from the MSNL catalogue. Plant #1 Lemon cherry gelato will be on the left looking in the tent and #2 Zoap will be on the right.

📋 Prepared 12L fabric pots, filled with biobizz lightmix, then gave 2L water Ec=0.25 PH=7.0/6.7. Then 1L water with katana roots @5ml/L Ec=0.3 PH=6.3/6.3
No runoff.
Placed pot into tent with no light on.

📋 Dropped the seed into 40ml of water with 5ml/L katana roots and 0.1ml/L neutralise solution at 5.05pm
5.00pm turned light on @ 100w 80cm above the soil, Ppfd=200, 24hr DLI=17.3
10.00pm placed seed into moist paper towel.

📋 7.30pm tap root breaking through so put the seed into 12L fabric pot, and placed in the tent under constant light.

Well this was my second seed I had too pop as the very one did not germinate , so she is 1 week behind the rest of my garden , but thankfully this pip popped within days , very excited about this one as I've never seen let alone smoked red bud before eeeek !!

Week 2 begins, not much to report other than the pro-mix HP hasn't dried out enough to warrant another feeding.

This week I let the plant grow freely with no training or cuts applied.
I’m waiting for the branches to reach 5 nodes before doing the next topping at the 3rd node, so for now the focus is just on healthy growth and recovery.
Everything is developing nicely, and the structure is getting ready for the next apical cut 💪🌿

Time to start feeding her! She is doing ok but a little smaller compared to other diaries. I figure its because the heat. I’m hoping this is the week she starts to run. Wish me luck!!

The Apple Betty babies are doing great 😊 I’m very pleased with the results so far, I just wished I would have known they would have such a large stretch, they D almost doubled in size in 14 days.
At day 8 I stopped tucking the branches and allowed them to grow up. In hindsight, I probably should have kept going for another couple of days. They continued to stretch rapidly all the way up to date 12 or so, much more than my other strain that I have going as well.
At day 10 I cleaned up some of the small bud sites and leaves that were below the 1st trellis. These sites do not get enough light to make anything good, and take away energy from the main tops as they grow and compete. A quick snip here and there will really help the end result.
At day 13 I decided to add a second trellis net to provide support to the tops that came up so fast. They seem to have stopped their main stretch faze, and are looking happy and healthy now. I’ve continued my water, water, feed schedule and have not seen any cause for concern. The girls are taking a little over a gallon of water every 72 hours at this point.
Humidity is being controlled automatically with my in-line fan and humidifier. RH is set to 57% and temps hover between 77-80 degrees with lights on, and about 70-72 with light off thanks to my furnace being back on for the cooler temps.
The 2x4 5 gallon girl is doing great as well. 😊During the stretch, she flourished just as the girls in my big tent did as well. She is going to have some great bud, the branch structure is nicely developed with tight node spacing and large tops.
I’ve been plucking off all the lower growth, and tucking leaves as they block bud sites. I will be doing a defoliation next week. Happy Gardening 🇨🇦👊❤️

Day 36-
LST adjustments. Each lady received almost a full gallon of water each. I also dosed each gallon with 4ml cal mag plus. I guess I would consider this week 1 of flowering. Next watering I'll introduce bloom nutrients. They getting hairy! I feel like I'm also seeing some improvement in each plant after Foliar Spray, so I'm hoping after this watering they'll perk up and not have more sick leaves to look at.
Day 37-
I did a few LST adjustments on the smaller plants. "Blue Marker" is getting pretty stiff so I'm afraid to tie her down and have only been tucking leaves. Probably just going to try to keep her spread out as much as I can do. No more LST for her.
Day 38-
They've been drinking alot of water and are thirsty! Now normally I water once a week, but they may need it before their next water time. Lowered the lights to 18" above canopy. Will see if I get any canoes or not when I get back home tomorrow evening. It smells good when I open the tent as well 👌. Only uphill from here on!
Day 39-
Ladies didn't show any light stress to me lowering them down to 18". Blue Marker looks like she needs to be watered. The other two are still heavy. Probably be watering blue marker tomorrow evening and starting bloom nutrients.
Day 40-
Watered Blue Marker today with 4ml/gal CalMag+ and 2tsp/gallon of Old Age Bloom. Will be watering Yellow Marker tomorrow with the same ratio. The runt still probably has a few more days until she's ready for a drink.
Day 41-
Watered Yellow Marker with 4ml/gal CalMag+ and 2tsp/gal of Old Age Bloom. Will be watering the runt tomorrow. Went ahead and snapped a lower bud site on the runt. Didn't look promising enough to warrant keeping it. As you can see in the picture, most of the leaves were shriveled up on it anyways. I also tucked fan leaves on all plants and measured Blue Marker (17.5in) tall and Yellow Marker is about 1ft tall.
Day 42-
Watered "Runt" with 4ml/gal CalMag+ and 2 tsp/gal of Old Age Bloom. All plants new growth looks better and doesn't look like it's traveling up plant. More and more bud sites are popping up. Yellow Marker looks farther along than Blue Marker. End of week 6!

De-chlorinated watering pH 6 with 5ml calmag to 5L water.
Watered each with 250ml and had small run off.
I will continue to feed/water with small run offs to help prevent salt build ups.

We're halfway through the first week, day 10 to be more precise at the time of the photo. We've chosen to stay on 24/7 for at least the first few weeks, as we're in a hurry to finish at least the autoflowering plants so we can have some weed for Christmas.
Our Karen Kush Auto is the best of the bunch, the queen of our autoflowering plants right now. Anything can happen, but look at the difference compared to the others. It seems incredible that she did all this in 10 days, but it happened. This is thanks to the 24/7 light, a practice that in my opinion is a bit aggressive, but one that growers in a hurry to harvest absolutely must embrace. I'm now going to switch to 20/4, but many are leaving it until the end. Naturally, it changes the nutrient intake a bit, and there are some delicate aspects to be careful about.
The chosen soil is the recently released Plagron Bio LightMix, which will allow us a more regular and reliable start without the sudden changes that liquid fertilizers can cause.
We've started fertilizing for vegetative growth:
- Pure Zym 1 ml/l
- Power Roots 1 ml/l
- Sugar Royal 1 ml/l
- Alga Grow 1 ml/l

This seedling started out very well; the other had trouble releasing the seed and placenta, and germination stalled. I'm germinating another one; it's arriving very soon.

Flushing is in progress. Big Bud 😎🤘 she smells excellent citrusy strong 💪 grow using the full Cali proline. Unfortunately, my phone growdiaries crashed many times. I had to remove information from the diaries.

Day 49 flower-
Discovered loads of adult fungus gnats around the sour kosher#1.. thinking that’s why it’s been showing signs of stress and some yellowing and curling on fan leaves around the top colas.
Put down a bunch of sticky traps and going to let them dry out for now.
Smell is so strong from the blue gelato 41, gassy cake smell. The sour kosher #2 looks and smells incredible, has been healthy and green this whole grow with great bud formation/production! I’d love to keep this pheno but can I take a cutting late flower? Or maybe I’ll just re veg it.
24k#1 is still massively behind on bud development, coming like a true sativa. I may well end up having to harvest this one later than all the rest.
Still having problems with the 24k#2 top fan leaves turning very yellow and crispy.. but the bud production actually looks really good and frosty. Only 3 weeks to go so I’m sure it will make it, lots of green leaves still left lower on the plant.
Trying to keep the dog out my room but there is still husky hairs throughout the whole grow 🙄 unstoppable.
Can’t wait to get these drying and taste the final product!
