Day one of the 14th week was October 24th. The trichomes on the small bud leafs are still clear resin. The hairs are about 70% dark and many are receding back toward the bud. Harvest time is getting close.

Days 42 through 49 of flower and all three Phenos are expressing themselves differently. Pheno #1 continues to express darkened fan leaves almost purple and much more frosty than her sisters. Pheno #2 is the other end of the spectrum remaining green, but less frost. Pheno #3 seems to be a mix of the other two and its fan leaves are turning colors of autumn. Those are my visual observations as we head into week 8 of flower with harvest just around the corner. No nutrients or grow techniques used during week 7 flower. Other than a watering to saturation on day 42, I really haven't done anything other than observing and maintaining health of plant. For me, that involves tracking VPD to ensure optimal plant performance. Able to track VPD with recent upgrade to the AC Infinity Cloudline Pro fan system. The integrated environmental controls managed on my smart phone has been a game changer. So, happy that I made the upgrade. Thanks again for stopping by and checking out the diary.

Grow diary 11 Stage 4 Days 31-40 Day 31 Turned power up to 85% on the mars hydro ts1000. Mines one of the old ones you need to stick a screw driver in to alter it. Day 36 Removed the single finger fan leaves and the 1st 3 fingered leaves. Day 39 Removed the 4 fan leaves from where she was topped last week. The start of this stage we hit a heat wave, day after day of heat. I had my humidifier on most of the 9 days. The tent didn't hit the temps I thought it would so that means I have my loft under a bit better control. The plant really kicked into gear this week, around day 34 she started to explode in growth. So far I have only done some lite defoliation by removing some of the 1st leaves that weren't getting any light anymore. I now think the west coast o.g is the nicest looking one in the grow. Second auto grow in this tent. First try at this strain. The Mars hydro light puts out a true 115W. One plant (plant 2) has a leaf mutation. Soil is Nature's Care by Miracle Gro. I bought a few bags of it and the first two bags had gnats in the soil. The sticky paper took care of them on the last grow but I will keep an eye out for them in this grow.

SCROGING is an amazing technique that I will get better at but this being my first real attempt I clearly see how important it is to get everything cleaned up under the net. I’m not touching anything now and I’ll just do better next time. Anyways my garden looks really good, and the buds look real good and my canopy is pretty even. I mean it’s 4 or 5 inches off and if I would have tucked one more time I could have got things a bit more even. The Grand daddy purples buds are definitely going to be lighter. The vanilla frostings buds are going to dense and thick. If I take what I’ve seen from the past couple harvests my light will really turn these buds into little dense monsters. The viperspectra PAR1200 is a good light and makes heavy dense buds. I highly recommend the PAR1200 for a 3 x 3 space. Happy 420! Update - I think I missed 1 week in my grow. Today’s the last day of week 4 and I gave the girls a little trim today and cleaned those big fan leaves off. What a difference a little trim makes! I took these new photos about 8 hours after their trim. All those buds sites that were being covered reached out and here’s a few pictures of what was underneath. Have a great weekend!
