Day 44 - The smell is divine, and the buds are looking very pretty. Beautiful fade going on in the leaves, almost like a purple/red/black. Planning to tapper down the nutrients as we are coming closer to Harvest. Crucial to keep the pH in range during flowering and being away a few days, I wasn't able to correct it until I was back. So they were drinking more water than uptaking nutrients.. leaving a high EC in the system. Corrected the issue by adding plain RO water, treated with cleanse, no nutrients. They are now on track and could do with a last defoliation, but I've been holding it off. Will get around to it over the next few days. The buds are sticky, smell great and rock hard. Dehumidifier was added to the tent to try lower the humidity to a better range. Can't wait to see the end results and product. Another 2 weeks an I think we will be good.

Watching trichomes closely and using plain water over the past week. The largest of the two plants stopped responding much to watering and became resplendent with milky plus amber trichomes as the leaves faded and purpled up. On 2-15 I chose to harvest her. I weighed out 3.4 oz of untrimmed wet bud on 2-16, as I plan to dry trim. Second plant harvested 2-18. I will put up a harvest report when both plants are harvested. The smaller plant is approximately a week behind. I’m pleased with the yield but I really have no experience to know how these dense meaty buds will weigh out when dried. I have only removed the most easily plucked sugar leaves to facilitate drying and later trim. I have taken two medium sized riper buds from this plant over the past two weeks to dry and sample. I have only tried the first one and will say that the buzz was potent, delightful with a very sweet delicious flavor despite being uncured and grassy. ***** Currently the scent is an almost artificial vanilla, sugar and chocolate. ****** Compared to my bagseed and my one previous grow, these plants have been resilient against transplant stress, heat, pests, and pmd. My only concern was the appearance of a ball, which I plucked off and had not since observed more of them. Unlike the smaller plant that has one large cola with many heavy but smaller ones, the larger one sported many larger colas. ****** For my next grow I would like to add more light or switch up to COBs move into a larger space, be it a tent or a diy grow room, augment my soil with coco as well as perlite, if not switch mediums entirely, be more gentle with transplant and add enzymes and bloom boosters to my supplements. ****** I know this was a long grow. Trying to go back and see everything I did and I’m pretty sure it was the two nights of not having a heater down in the basement I live in Ohio. It gets really cold at night and then switching environments from veg tent to flower tent the combination of me over feeding and all of those I think is what has stunted her, going to give her another couple days to see if she jumps out of it 🔥💯

Switched the Big bud to Overdrive give them that PK boost there needing, frosting and stacking nicely.... took the tip out of 90% of the top bud and I mean the tips like 1 maybe 2 calyx hopefully make them start swelling more instead of vertical growth 🤟

Back with the Lemons, Thanks for coming by! Day 44 - Height: LP#1 @ 36" / LP#2 @ 33" The Lemons move into week 7. They have a fantastic smell now! The scent in the room is a sugary, sweet citrus backed up by a spicy black pepper. I pruned off the lower leaves that were turning yellow, many of them were squashed and bent from the walls anyway and some were actually hanging off where they've been pushed about a bit in the space, but it's all good. The buds on LP#2 are really tightening up now, but they're really making the buds on LP#1 look a bit leggy, especially the buds on the side stems. In terms of issues, there is some pretty serious light bleaching going on in the tips of the leaves, but what's done is done, so I'll have to keep an eye out for that in future grows. Otherwise plants look healthy. Leaf Surface Temperature at the canopy is 25c, which is about 2-3c lower than the ambient temps in the space, so I think thats all good, despite the light bleaching they shouldn't be suffering from heat stress too much really. Hopefully going to see the buds fatten up real nice over the next couple of weeks before harvest! Day 48 - Height: LP#1 @ 36" / LP#2 @ 33" Day 48 and the Lemon Twins are really starting to get sticky and pack on the weight now. LP#2 can't hold herself up at all anymore, so I've had to string a whole bunch of wires up to keep the side stems vertical. It's nice though because it condenses the footprint in my tent. I did the same with my Kush from last grow and it actually makes my space a bit easier to deal with. I think they must be approaching harvest window in a week or so, but I'm going to let them run a couple more weeks at least before I start checking trichomes seriously. All healthy and nothing bad to report though! One thing I'm not really sure about and keep trying to research is the effect of light bleaching on plants. Mine always suffer from quite severe light bleaching or nutrient burn on the tips by this point in their lifecycle which actually comes mostly from the heat and light coming back off the reflective walls I think, as it burns the leaves next to the walls the most. My plants seem to grow well and look healthy in all other respects though and they yield well enough, so I don't really know if it's a problem. I need to read a lot more about this. However, I'm happy to share that everything is looking great so far! 🎉 First off, let me express my relief that I haven't encountered any hermaphroditism issues like some unfortunate growers have experienced. I've been extra vigilant in checking my plants for any signs of bananas or seeds, and thankfully, all is going smoothly on that front. Fingers crossed, and let's hope it stays that way. 🤞 Now, let's talk about the progress of these beauties. The plants are thriving, exhibiting vigorous growth and magnificent stretching. 🌱✨ Maintaining the well-being of my plants remains my top priority. They're displaying a healthy thirst, as each plant continues to drink around 2 liters of water every two days. I've been closely monitoring the pH level of the nutrient solution, which has been steady at 6.11. This ensures optimal nutrient uptake and keeps the plants in their prime condition. Moreover, the TDS range is consistently between 1050 and 1150, providing them with the ideal nutrient balance. ⚖️💧 Speaking of the plants, I must mention how amazing they smell! The aroma is becoming more intense with each passing day. Today, I conducted a smell test for the OG and Oreo strains. The OG emitted a super strong smell of OG/Skywalker, while the Oreo strain has a unique and captivating scent that is difficult to describe but absolutely amazing. I can't wait to smoke that one! Tomorrow, I'll do a smell test for the Queen strain as well. 🌿👃🔥 As we progress through this crucial stage, I'll continue to provide the best care possible to ensure a successful harvest. Today (Day 22) marks the last day of foliar feeding with Bud Factor X, an essential step to maximize THC development and quality.
