These ladies just didn't want to stop growing. Sadly I had to take drastic action at the beginning of this week. I had to bend a couple branches to keep them away from the light. I am now officially out I'd ceiling space. Other then that it's been smooth sailing. They've been sucking through some food. I've gone through about 5 gallons a day. I gave them a compost tea on Saturday. I just cannot wait to see these ladies at their fullest!

Auto Northern Dragon Fuel is growing great. She has been making a lot of progress. I have been keeping up on lst and selective defoliation. She looks like she is just getting ready to start producing her first pistils. Every other day I get her ph and fresh nutrition in her. I will likely cut back on the nitrogen some if I can. She might use a bunch at stretching. She is looking great. Day 14 Flowering: Hi all . I hope we all had great Christmas fun with those that matter to us and that we had plenty of close personal contact and shared emotions. The Ladies have been treating me to an amazing floral display this week with all of them in full flowering mode now. Gorilla Girl # is a bushy lady in need of a good defoliate once the stretch has finished. she is mid stretch now by the look of her and i am hoping that her stretch will open her up a little more. #2 is the furthest ahead in her floral development and bud size but again needs some leaf stripping out to get the light to the many forming buds. They are like mini golf balls now and I love this part of the cycle. The pics speak for themselves of the hairy little beasts. #3 is feeling the restraints of the 30L pots over her sisters. she is a lot smaller in general although stretching nicely too. She is forming nice bud sets and has great potential if the stretch can boom her size a little more. I used low stress training on these 3 ladies to keep their height low enough for my restriction but I decided the next two could be a little bit of an experiment while I try to establish a perpetual grow operation with autos. Having only grown 1 crop of these in the past , I felt I needed to find what worked for me in this space so I have pulled #4 over using her 5th node only, into an arc shape amd the sweet cheese has been left to do her own thing with little interference from me. Gorilla girl#4 looks the largest of theb group now with her frame set in this way. Her lower branches have shot updating her stretch to surpass the main node quite a bit. she is filling her 60L pot with ease and has some great looking colas starting to form up. Seeing her move slightly ahead thisbway is a real shock as she seemed to struggle to get going initially and I worried about the transplanting shock. this is clearly not the case now for sure. Sweet Cheese is looking great too now. Her natural shape and size are really workable in my space. Genetically she is a smaller strain on paper too so I am interested to see how she ends up and will have a better understanding hopefully of how autos can differ in different combos. All in all a great week with new seedlings hitting the air too !. more to come on that one soon . Ok, so it's slowly getting thicker and frostier. At week seven my girl could be ready in anywhere from two weeks to four weeks more. The light was dropped closer to the top of the canopy. I decided to try 15 cm of distance, as well four 50W LEDs are not as powerful as the 600W HID or LED panels that are usually used in grow tents. I will of course keep an eye for signs of light and heat stress, but I suspect that won't be a problem. Update Day 89. Today I decided to turn the plant around to see the back colas and their growth. Then I found some mites under the leaves after examining weird spots in a couple of leaves. It seems to me that there was not enough airflow to deter the mites from making home in the back leaves, when compared to the front leaves of my plant. Lesson learnt, rotate plant often, ensure good and even airflow. I didn't find any webs beside a really small one seen on the video (most affected leaf). So, I think I found them mites early. I only found this kind of damage on very few leaves, and each leave contained less than 8 mites (at least that I could see) and a couple of eggs. So it seems that paying close attention to my leaves saved me from an out of control infestation. Anyhow... I removed all of the leaves that had even a single mite, or a single mark of discoloration. Also, I disinfected the grow tent, top of soil and lower part of the branches by spraying them with a 1/4 tbsp of bleach per liter of water. After that was completely dry, I mixed one part rubbing alcohol with 9 parts water and misted both sides of the leaves and even the buds directly (ethanol evaporates easily, so there shouldn't be residues left after it dries completely). Prevention is key, and some aspects I could've considered before are: 1. not grow any other plant next to my cannabis 2. Don't come into my indoor growtent after tending my outdoor plants. 3. Ensure even and plenty airflow. So, I attacked back strongly. I cut more leaves than those that showed damage, to increase airflow. I will be on the watch for pests and will rotate my plant often, as well as spraying a few times every week, just to make sure they don't come back. I also am going to build a kind of metal wire cage to separate the colas further and make it harder for any pest to spread. Its only my second grow, but from what I've read online about mites, it's way more costly (time and money) to deal with an infestation than to strike them hard early. I guess that specially now that I noticed them before they even made webs. Look closely at your girls growbros ! Update day 90. So this morning I. Becker the trichomes and they seem to have gotten more cloudy. I am not an expert at that, but they are starting to be fewer clear and more milky. I will keep an eye on them, but it think harvest might be here very soon, probably closer to the 9 week mark than to the 12 week one (I'm about to finish the 7th week)...

Start of Week 3. Increased light to 75% (750w).

Ero preoccupato per il terreno troppo bagnato ma per fortuna non hanno minimamente stressato o rallentato la crescita di queste varietà autofiorenti così adatte ad ogni esigenza. Alcune sono già in pre fioritura e massimo tra dieci giorni la fioritura sarà evidente. Il meteo migliorerà tra una settimana circa e quindi con il caldo estivo forte italiano queste varietà non faranno che fiorire in maniera massiccia come ogni anno saranno risultati indimenticabili soprattutto in outdoor biologico. Alcune sono state morse da lumache che spesso tentano di mangiare le foglie ma non hanno ottenuto nulla, queste piante si difendono bene. I nutrienti a lenta cessione è risultato inutile con la pioggia incessante si è sciolto subito ma non è un problema perché il terreno è molto equilibrato e nutrito da anni. Verranno nutrite a fioritura inoltrata,per ora crescono abbastanza rapide e non hanno bisogno di ulteriori attenzioni. Hanno circa sei internodi alcune quindi la fioritura magica a breve inizieranno tutte insieme come una sinfonia musicale!
