Hello Diary, White Widow has completed its last week, the journey has come to an end. Two days after the photo shoot, I harvested White Widow along with her roommates. 73 days since I put the seeds in the ground. 65 days since the start of the vegetation. Really very fast, although it has somehow become the standard on my small farm. But I am still fascinated by how quickly the plant goes through its cycle when it has the most ideal conditions. I don't necessarily mean myself, I try to give the plants the best I can and know how. As you can see in the photos, the result is impressive, White Widow turned out to be a real beauty. This phenotype painted White Widow in purple. The flowers are hard and dense, the branches bend under their weight. One branch even broke when I was setting it up for the photo shoot. That purple color gives it a special look. Some of the leaves have taken on autumn colors, which is also one of the signs that it has matured. This week I continued to observe the samples under the microscope, waiting for the trichomes to turn milky. On the day of the photo shoot, which was day 63, most of the trichomes were milky, some even brown. The smell is very intense, the whole room smells like plants when I open the grow box. I barely wash my fingers after examining the plants. Watering was standard, every three days. This week I stopped adding nutrients, I just lowered the p.H. to 6.0 and water the plants with clean water. After the photo shoot, she was in the grow box for two more days to drink all the water from the soil so that the drying would be more efficient. Before cutting, I removed all the leaves from the plant to also make drying easier and have less work to trim the dried flowers. But also to prevent the formation of potential mold. After cutting, I left her upside down in the grow box to dry. Now I'm waiting for the flowers to dry well and to see how much White Widow has really rewarded me. See you when that happens. Here's what the last week looked like. 19/09/2024 - Day 57. Watering. I prepared 9 liters of water, lowered the pH to 6.0 and used that amount to water all three plants on the farm. 22/09/2024 - Day 60. Watering. I repeated the same procedure as three days earlier. 24/09/2024 - Day 62. I watered them all with 1.5 liters of water each plant so they would be fresh for the photos. 25/09/2024 - Day 63. End of the last, 9th week since Purple Lemonade began its journey. Photos. 27/09/2024 - Day 65. White Widow has been harvested. That's almost all from me for this diary, the final report that follows after drying and testing remains. Thank you all again for your support and comments.

1 plant was very ripe, 1 plant was almost perfect to harvest and the 3rd could take another 1-2 weeks...but it was end of 10th week of flower and i had to go on vacation, so i perhaps choped 1 plant abit too early....still awesome result!

Day 63 This plant now shows a much fuller canopy, with strong lateral growth and dense foliage. The training earlier in veg has clearly paid off — multiple tops are reaching upward, giving the structure a wide and balanced appearance. The node spacing is fairly tight, and the plant has developed into a bushy, healthy shape. Leaf color is a deep, rich green, a sign of good nutrient uptake. The canopy is vigorous and energetic, with new shoots continuing to push through. The posture of the leaves is upright and responsive, indicating that the plant is currently in a comfortable environment. No major signs of deficiencies are visible from this angle. At this stage, the plant looks ready to transition soon if the goal is flowering. The main considerations now are airflow and light penetration: the canopy is dense, so a light defoliation of older fan leaves could help improve circulation and ensure even bud development later on. Next steps will be to maintain a steady feeding schedule, monitor watering carefully, and prepare for the upcoming stretch once the light cycle is switched.

The temperatures, humidity, height, and watering volume(if measured) in grow conditions are all averaged for the week. The pH is soil pH. Any watering done by me is well water which is 7.6 pH and 50° F. Any listed nutrients are ml/gallon of soil spread evenly across the top of the soil. Day 1 we had a high temperature of 79° with mostly cloudy skies. The nights have been dripping below 69°F, creating an ideal environment for powdery mildew. I watered about 3 gallons of well water. I treated with Arber biofungicide. Lady bugs were released and are having an aphid feast. Day 2 we had early morning rain followed by mostly cloudy skies. High temperature was 77. The rain took care of the watering today. I'm treating with arber again and more defoliation. Day 3 we had a high temperature of 81°F, skies were partly cloudy, and I watered 3-4 gallons from the hose. Day 4 we had a high temperature of 83° with sunny skies. I watered 4-5 gallons from the well. I removed leaves with powdery mildew and treated with Arber. Day 5 we had a high temperature of 88°F. Skies were clear and sunny. The humidity was around 90% today. I watered 4-5 gallons from the well. I treated with Arber again today. Day 6 we had high temperature of 89°F. Skies were sunny. I watered about 4-5 gallons with well water. I've been treating these with Arber biofungicide and it's had some good effect. I stripped all the infected leaves.I'll get the third tomorrow. I'll treat these tomorrow with growers ally fungicide and see how that does. Day 7 we had a high temperature of 86°F with partly cloudy skies. We're expecting rain tonight and it's super humid today. The weather is not cooperating while I'm treating for powdery mildew. This week was a success. The plants gained on average 3 inches in height. They've slowed down their upward growth and are transitioning into flower. The weather has been atrocious for cannabis. These girls are super healthy but the humidity and cool nights have caused perfect conditions for powdery mildew. I began treatment with Arber biofungicide and it's working pretty good. I'm switching now and will treat late day 7 with Growers Ally fungicide. I removed the infected leaves and defoliated to help light penetration.

7 Feb - Filled the reservoir with 1.5L each but looks like the water level thing doesn't work. Update: just watered with the Yucca extract to see how the plants react. Also accidentally broke a branch :( 10 Feb - Top dress tasty flowers + 1L water + yucca 11 Feb - Flipped to 12/12

i accidently bought some unbuffered coco and mixed it with my ussual earth, had major calmag problems in mid-flower but i´m still pleased with the results...also had a little trouble with mold at the end due to bad weather and high humidity in the final weeks of the grow, had to remove a few buds and harvest early @ day 55 of flower....but there's still alot of great looking buds left for me to enjoy and all look mostly done... Just harvested and hung them upside down, currently drying them at constant 19.5-20.5°C and 50-60% RH..will update as soon as they are dry

In my experience, this technique helps the plants transition more smoothly and accelerates their hormonal shift into flowering. It’s a method that has consistently worked well for me, and I encourage growers to explore different approaches to find what best suits their setup. The Power of Reds - Far Red & Deep Red As part of this transition, we have introduced far red and deep red lighting. These are turned on 15 minutes before the main whites and stay on for 15 minutes after. The reason? This simulates the natural sunrise and sunset effect, which helps optimize the flowering response and enhances overall plant development. The red spectrum plays a crucial role in promoting stretch and enhancing bud formation early on. Light Schedule - 11/13 Cycle From the start of flower, we are running an 11 hours light / 13 hours dark schedule. Over the years, I’ve found this lighting strategy beneficial in inducing faster flower onset, increasing terpene production, and ultimately producing better-quality fruits. This is something I personally swear by, but as always, I encourage others to experiment and see what works best for their unique environments. Spending Time with the Girls One of my favorite parts of the grow is spending time with the plants, enjoying some good medicine, and simply being present in the garden. The connection we have with our plants is invaluable, and I believe they truly respond to the energy we bring. : - Day 1 week 5: just checking how lst is doing, they will be ok - Day 2 week 5: not completely dry to water so I’ll wait for day 3 of week. Did lst to make sure all branches receive as much ligth as possible - Day 3 week 5: watered them with 4ml/L calmag and 2ml/L bio grow ph 6,5 tap water trough activated carbon filter. RHC#2 broke one of the branches, I had to tape it. Not to be worried, she’ll recover from that. RHC#3 is very slow compared to the others. - Day 4 week 5: defoliation so sun enters better and wait. - Day 5 week 5: added 1L of water with 2ml/L Bio grow, 6 ml/L calmag and 2ml/L bio heaven. 1600 us/cm and ph 6,2 - 6,5. RHC#3 suffered of broken branch due lst 😞 still learning about the flexibility of branches. I think she’ll recover hoping not too much stress for her. - Day 6 week 5: RHC#3 looks good despite broken branch. Not much for today just watch temp and humidity, hoping they grow tall so I can cover a good part of the tent. - Day 7 week 5: water with the usual calmag and biogrow ph 6,3. Defoliated every 3 days or so to keep light enter every branch
