This was my first photoperiod grow. It was a great experience. I kept the veg cycle short to keep it more manageable and so it wouldn't be as terrible if I screwed something up toward the end and needed to trash it. I'll grow MANY more photo plants in the future. Some of the autos have small yields. I doubt that's an issue with these babies! 💪 This girl got so big that even with added supplements to help keep her stem strong, almost all her branches bent. They were HUGE. The color got very light toward the end and the leaves got a little stress because I didn't manage the humidity well. *I think* It got down in the 20s a lot. It had a fairly strong aroma toward the end of the grow but nothing compared to it's tent partner. She looks like she started fox tailing a little toward the end. Also, most likely due to temp and humidity. Closets are hard to control. All in all, this was an enjoyable grow and I look forward to trying it again and hopefully growing an even better one!! 😁

The time is finally here to post the harvest. I waited till it was all done and dry before updating the dairy so will add in the dry weights next on the 2nd half of the harvest entry. I enjoyed this plant a lot, its grew well and loved how it was shorter and fatter. I wonder if it was at the dame distance from the plant if It could have done even more. Had some issues with the yellowing that was happening on the other plant in this tent. I should have treated this faster with a flush but was super reluctant and it may have hurt the yields a bit. The top best looking buds looked and smelled amazing even the lower buds where doing well not so larfy like the other plant. There was crazy strong smells with this plant, sour berries and hints of lemon, it was a best smelling plant I have grown to date. This would be a great plant to grow for beginners, cant take a lot of stress and still produces quite well and even on lower wattage leds it was good. It was not the most crystally looking plant, not like the maltezerz but still had some finger hash buildup but a small amount. I feel this plant would be a winner for a rosin press. I don't plan on growing this strain out again despite me liking a lot of qualities about it. I'm only trying to grow cbd dominate plants is the main reason. If my friends really like this I have some clones so can always give them some. Speaking of clones they are doing well outside, greened up a lot and showing signs of revegging. Took some photos of the weed hang drying on day 1 in the tent and a week later to show how much they shrink. Only some of the lower growth is larfy, will make good edibles or hash, that will be a fun project to do and may include that in my projects diary. My light grew for 20 weeks and 4 days, or 144 days. almost 21 weeks total. $35.67 / 144d = 0.2477$/d average of about 25c a day in electricity 337.2kw for the entire grow. Using the regular calculation of grams harvested divided by watts used is not accurate to me, it does not account for all the time the lamps are on, the length of grow to the over all cost. The calculation that makes sense to me is this, harvested dry weight of usable cannabis buds/trim/keif/whatever in grams divided by total kw used. Could also combine it with grams per total single use costs “anything you used only for this grow and wont reuse in the next, or fractions of multi use items like fertilizers if they ½ full” and see how much you’re investing per gram. "kw" ÷ "g" = kw/g "$" ÷ "g" = $/g I have harvested 4.57oz or 129.6g on 337.2kw. 337.2kw ÷ 129.6g = 2.60 kw/g of usable cannabis. This is not an ideal ratio for me and looks like a lot of energy waste happened from the extended veg period. $35.67 ÷ 129.6g = 0.28c/g It cost 28c/g when comparing total electricity cost to gross yield, almost identical to the comparison of total electrical cost to the number of days in the grow 25c/day. Going to yield POUNDs off this girl!! 12/19/23-- Update: Shogun is a big girl- for an INDOOR grow!. She's 3ft tall, and still shows vertical growth! Considering I did not veg long. Shogun popped up out of soil on Oct 4th 2023, and she was switched to flower same day & time as my Royal Dwarf (aka Itty-Bitty) they've both been on 12/12 for over a month now. Itty-Bittyis an Autoflower, and Shogun is a photoperiod. I can see now the difference between Autos& fotos in growth &bud development, Shoguns trichomes have not appeared yet! She's definitely going to be in the flower stage for a few more weeks, perhaps another month? As I said She's in middle of flowering and still showing vertical growth, and to measure HER I use a yard stick now lol I think she's my favorite, along with the Cookies gelato (but don't tell my other plants!)

Hello Growers! Nice to finally join the club! 😁 This is a step by step of my very first attempt at growing from Start to Finish. It's something I've always wanted to do and I've researched a lot of over the years but now is the right time to give it a go as I have become a medical user of cannabis and the price just keeps going up!! 😂🤦‍♂️ So without going on too much let's get down to the nitty gritty... I Dropped the 1 seed into a glass of 5.8 PH water on 10/05/21 which I also dechlorinated, waited until she sank then placed her between two damp paper towels inside two plates in a warm, dark & humid spot (bucket) until the tap root showed and was about 1/4" long then she went straight Into media on 12/05/21. Day 1 - 15/05/21 - first two baby leaves open & lights on! Day 2 - 4L Humidifier added, seedling just under 3" tall ALREADY!!! So I've lowered the light from 23" to 15" to try and stop the stretching. Day 3 - 17/05/21 - Checked on my girl and she's the same height as yesterday so hopefully the stretching has stopped 🤞 I also built a T-bar diffuser for my humidifier using some 32mm PVC pipe and fittings (Photo Above) I'm hoping this will distribute the humidity more evenly so I can have the humidifier on less often, I'm getting puddles of condensation forming in the bottom of my tent which is annoying! 🌊🌊🌊 😂 I'm hoping it might save me a bit of deionised water as well? 🤔 Day 4 - The T-bar diffuser I installed on the humidifier is working well, The RH is staying up and so far no puddles! ⛲ 😂 I will get a more comprehensive reading of highs and lows over the next few days and get it dialled in the best I can. I also think that because there is a lot of red LED's in this Mars Hydro light that may also contributing to the stretch during my girls early stages of life. Thankfully she is looking great and the stretch is massively reduced now that The light is lower. 😁 Day 5 - 19/05/21 - So far So Good! 😊 The stretching has definitely stopped but I'm still worried about her getting so tall so fast!! So today I installed a small 6" fan in the corner of my tent to try and get her stem to thicken up a bit, this is set to run only when the humidifier is on otherwise it screws up my RH and Temperatures. harvested first 1/3 at end of week 13 rest at end of week 14 after seeing no change in the trichomes, of which a lot stayed clear but that OK. It might be a strain where they don't all go cloudy. After chopping 1/3 down it seemed like more stuff just kept coming up, it's the plant that keeps on giving. In the end I was smoking this for about 3 weeks before I got to finally get a dry weight yesterday which was 7.5 tip not including what I smoked over the past three weeks which I estimate at a minimum of 1.5 ozs. So the total yield was 9 oz. This really did knock my socks off. I thought I'd get 7 in my dreams. There was likely a bit more than 9 but I just got too stoned to keep track properly. Buds are covered in crystal and the quality extended all the way down the branch, they are hard and dense and fluff out well. Unfortunately if I'd had known this was going to be such a big yield I'd have kept better records of what I used, when I say 9 oz that's because there was 7.5 a couple of days ago curing, and I'm estimating 1.5 oz smoked over the past three weeks, I'm allowing 1/2 oz per week for the past three weeks but in reality I've smoked more than that. per week so 9 oz is an absolute minimum the actual figure is more like 10 oz. The stone is exceedingly stoned but mellow, you forget how stoned you are. Does not cause too much munchie problem or dry mouth. Lots of flavour when used with the FireFly 2 and the flavours are still changing, but I'd call it herbal. The defoliating scrog and hydro set up made it easy to deal with but I can see this plant causing some difficulties for those not experienced in dealing with a bushy plant prone to mould. The Viparspectra did a pretty sweet job, using an average of about 270W at the wall.000

So first week of flower or pre flower maybe?? But whatever it is they are now outside and getting direct sunlight from about 10am to 4pm and loving it. They started off this week looking a little yellow on the new growth but by Wednesday all the leaves are nice and green. Got the day off tomorrow so think I'll do a light defol and have another look at the lst wires. The mother of this clone is about a week away from harvest (my first ever harvest!!) And she smells great, everytime I walk outside. Looking forward to a comparison, my first soil harvest and my first hempy 1 after another. So I just got 2 feeds in this week, had some rain which kept the coco moist for longer so now we wait. Thanks for stopping in 👍

The flowers have started to swell and increase in size nicely. She's not stretching much, so I guess, these 18cm will be it. She's getting a really shimmery purple colour. I tried capturing it in a video. I removed some of the older leaves to optimize for light and optimized fertilizer for bud size (Hi PLAGRON Alga Bloom!). Give us all your CBD goodness, purple lady!

Hey now, hope everyone is staying safe and having a great week. The Glueberry OG started to stretch here in the past couple days and picked up 5 inches in the last 5 days, so we will see how long she continues to stretch. I will continue to feed her veg nutrients and and keep the medic grow spectrum x light in V1 mode as to help promote tighter internodal spacing. Once the stretch has stopped or at least almost stopped I will transition her to flower nutrients and introduce her to the flower spectrum of the light. I have started introducing UV/IR lighting to the grow tent for one hour before lights off. I just focused mainly on keeping the feeding reservoir clean, and PH'd, as well as some low stress training for her to attempt to have a nice even canopy. I am definitely more interested in flower quality than quantity at this point. I believe this lady will stretch for at least another week if not slightly longer just based on her expected harvest time of 12-13 weeks but we will see.
