Welcome to Week 1 of the Sweet Seeds Gorilla Girl XL Autoflowering grow courtesy of the fine folks at Sweet Seeds! This is the second of three consecutive grows/diaries that I am doing to showcase the tried and tested genetics from this reputable seed breeder. My last grow was a smashing success so I have high hopes for this grow as well. Nothing much to report for Week #1 although I will mention that the first watering was only 0.7 of a litre per plant (0.18 of a litre per plant per day) and the second was 1.4 litres per plant (0.35 of a litre per plant per day). I am watering on my usual schedule of every fourth day as this seems to be the sweet spot throughout past grows. I am using the usual- air bubbled tap water that is PH’d to around 6.0 and if need be (over the winter months in Canada) warmed to 68-70 degrees prior to hand watering with a small watering can. The seedling that lost one of it’s cotyledon leaves is fine but still a little smaller than her sisters. So now on to Mom’s tip of the week… Mom’s Tip for Week #1 is- YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR- QUALITY IS KEY!… When considering growing Cannabis, even on a small scale, quality is an important factor in all aspects from the seeds to set up to the supplies used throughout the grow. Starting with seeds from a established breeder will raise the odds considerably in your favour for a successful outcome. Many seed companies are more than willing to ship out freebies while building up their brands which seems attractive to new growers- but use at your own risk! There’s nothing worse than being halfway through a grow and discovering male flowers tucked in amongst the lowest branches or realizing that your beautiful buds have been mysteriously pollinated just weeks before harvest. I know that seeds from a reputable seed breeder are usually more expensive and can be hard to access in certain parts of the world. But purchasing quality seeds from a reputable seed company is the first step towards homegrown Cannabis success. An area that new growers often overlook due to the high price is the quality of crucial components in their set up- including tent, lights, and intake/exhaust fans. Anyone can get away with cheaper pots, oscillating corner fans, water pumps for dechlorination, etc but it’s worth every penny investing into the workhorses of your entire operation. An initial investment of around two thousand dollars will provide serious growers with the longevity and hassle free basics needed. If done right, quality components will pay for themselves within the first 6-12 months of use and continue to serve your needs for 3-5 years to come. Supplies used throughout the grow are the final area where quality is important but somewhat subjective too. Although I’ve already stated that I don’t feel the need to spend big dollars on all the extras (pots, oscillating fans, water pumps for dechlorination, PH/moisture meters, etc- I do believe in doing my homework to make sure that I’m getting the best bang for my buck. I thoroughly research every item purchased and used in my grows by reading customer reviews, speaking with other growers and sometimes even trial and error at my own expense. Making quality an important factor in all aspects of Cannabis cultivation will benefit you, your grows and the planet we live on. 🌳🌎🌳

23.07. White Runtz Day 85# Yesterday was the end of the twelfth week for the plant. She was fed this morning. The heat has started fiercely again, and I, the lazy one, haven't put up the shade net yet... Stay High and Keep Growing!

Had a PH issue which almost spoiled the entire plant. But fantastically I noticed the issue right from the start, so even though she became very yellow she's pushing through till the end and is back to absorbing nutes. +Day 61 started flushing SHE'S A TRUE FIGHTER <3 I'm happy that I managed to learn the importance of pH.

As week 8 started, buds are gaining size. Plant is drinking lots of water. About. 3/4 a gallon a day to day 1/2. Added a second light to setup now. Hoping to help the flowering buds with extra light. Relocated my fan to help circulate air flow around more of the taper colas. Should have a around 3 week a left til harvest. Can’t wait to see how this first grow turns out and what to learn from it overall at the end.

It is visible that one of them is delayed by 4 days, but everything is going well. I apply 500ml of water per week to this plant per plant. I'm taking it easy and they seem to be enjoying it. when I complete the 3 week I will do the top pruning and start preparing for the SCROG.

Leaves starting to turn purple , will start flushing in two days to take it to 60 days flowering .

Hi Growmies, I'm excited to share some big news today! Although there have been some unexpected twists, it's all part of the incredible journey of gardening. I've just completed the harvest, a tad earlier than initially planned, due to finding a bit of mold in one of the buds. Despite this minor hiccup, the trichomes were already at a decent 10% to 15% amber. So, all things considered, the timing ended up being pretty spot-on. The harvested weight was a solid 609 grams after trimming, which is quite a feat! A lesson learned for next time: perhaps I let her grow a few too many buds, leading to a denser canopy than ideal. But on the bright side, the aroma is absolutely divine. I sampled an airy bud that had dried a bit, and wow, it packs a stronger punch than its clone mother. And the flavor? Pure, unadulterated cheese – no hint of pineapple here! Now, the anticipation builds for the final dry weight, which I should know in about 3-4 days. 2019-12-08 (day 9) -not much too add, seedling is growing. Atmosphere in tent is stable, slightly colder than I'd like but nothing I'm worried about. My second Meizhi 600 showed up and I will add it most likely in week 3 or 4. I may pop 2 more seeds to grow simultaneously with these two girls, just a bit worried about the coverage of these lights, we'll see I haven't made up my mind yet. I'll likely implement nutes by the end of next week.

Le agrego Rootbastic para una mejora de las raíces. 🔹Sigo pulverizando las plantas con una EC de 400ml, con acti-vera y Rootbastic. Van de miedo, sin quemaduras ni signos de alguna carencia. 🔹Le pongo un higrostrato conectado al extractor y un humificador para mejorar las condiciones del cultivo. Día 16: 🔹Pulverizo las plantas 2,3 veces al día con Rootbastic a 0,1ml/ y Acti-vera BioBizz a 1ml/l Día 17: 🔹Riego según la tabla de nutrientes con una EC de 1000ms y pulverizo las plantas cuando se despiertan con el enraizante. Día 18: 🔹 Aplico foliarmente 2/3 veces al día una solución de Rootbastic a 0,1ml x litro. Día 19: 🔹Trasplante a maceta definitiva de 11 litros 🔹Aplico Special THC Plus foliarmente en base mínima establecida por el fabricante, ya que en unos 10 días aprox. la pasaré a floración. 🔹Riego con una solución suave de abonos EC de 900 y un pH de 6.2 Día 20: 🔹Aplico foliarmente 2 veces al día una solución de Rootbastic a 0,2ml x litro. 🔹Aplicación tierra de diatomeas en las nuevas macetas para evitar futuras plagas. Comentar que es la primera vez que la utilizo y ha sentado genial al cultivo. espolvoreo una cucharada sopera por cada maceta por encima del sustrato. Día 21: 🔹Descanso. Comentar que el trasplante las ha sentado genial.

Impressive how this plant managed to grow despite the few hours of light .. I guess what it could do with a better season than this year (there has been a lot of rains) and in a place where it grows with constant light.. anyway I am very happy with her, I would also say proud of how the growth went. In the last few weeks, as you can see, the plant has suffered an attack by caterpillars that have eaten some of its leaves in a short time, the plant has remained very strong anyway. I tried to remove them manually until they disappeared completely Before proceeding with the cut, I put the plant in the dark for 48 hours, further stressing it by shocking the roots with ice cubes. I've never used these two methods, but I've heard a lot about them. some say it is useless while others say that these methods work to increase the production of trichomes and terpenes. Shes really coming a long small hiccup with either over or under watering. I'd say both despite the ac infinity self watering bases. I just wasnt sure how much water to give on top so I may have overdone it. All in all shes looking super frosty and smells amazing beautiful colors. I'm eagerly looking forward to toking on this one. Few more weeks at most I'd say she should be done. Check back next week to see just how fast she buds & remember its 4:20 somewhere!!!!!!
