Week 8 of flower is in the books and this show is quickly coming to an end. I said last week we had about 7-10 days and I was spot on at the 10 day mark. I was only wrong about the order. The cheese is ready to chop before the rest and the gorilla cookies, cherry Bomb and lemon haze will follow in due course. The cheese is a beast and it’ll take a little time to get it all run through the bowl trimmer. At least the big one goes first. Her tallest colas have foxtailed like mar, despite the late supercrop. You can tell where the sweet spot for the light is at about 10” distance from the canopy. Any closer than that and the tails begin to show prominently. It’s a good example of just how close you can get to these fixtures with a little bit of prior experience. It’s been noted for the next run😎👍😎. The res. is on an h2o2 only flush for the remainder until the rest are ready to come down. Not a moment too soon either - the pollen chucking project has stalled out waiting for these girls to finish and now that we’ll have a little extra room, we can start running our cuts in the aerocloner🤟. Not long at all now folks. Thanks for tagging along through all this. Learned a bunch about this system and we’re back to hardware mode to make some serious improvements for the next run🤙😎. I love hardware mode😉. Background/Repetitive Nonsense The strain line up on this grow is look’n quite saucy 😈. We’ve got 2 FB strains this time around - Gorilla Cookies (seems we always have some GSC cross in the works). Mainly because the colours look stellar and remind me of a sugar breathe we did last year that was 🔥. The other FB is their original Cheese strain... because we already smoked all our cheese... and we really like our cheese...😉. Emerald triangle was kind enough to include a freebie of Lemon Haze. Wasn’t really big on the list but we haven’t done a haze strain to write home about yet so worth a go👍. The last is a Cherry auto from Bomb seeds that we’ve been trying to get to for months. Let’s just hope that she’s not a dud like the last bean. The new digs for this run are courtesy MarsHydro👊. Their 2x4 single grow tent, paired with a shiny new 240w QB courtesy ViparSpectra. These folks were kind enough to discuss a collaboration and as a result, here we are to test out the gear with an inaugural run of autos. Each week, we’ll try to expand on some of the benefits of each, as well as any limiting factors or considerations that need attention when pondering purchase. Already I can say that both are high quality products in terms of overall craftsmanship. MarsHydro 2x4 Grow Tent: Excellent construction in terms of durability. Reinforced stitching on the zippers and corners ensures zero tearing. Conveniently placed screen vents and intake/exhaust ports. The ceiling exhaust port only exists on the right side. Perfect for me but not great if you’re running exhaust from the top on the left side (left side wall port makes up for this however). The aluminum frame is rigid enough to support the weight of the lights and accessories. Once you have some weight in the tent, she’s go’n nowhere and you can assemble and break it down in record time if moving or stashing the grow op. Only limiting factors I’ve noticed is that temp. Control will be an issue for a tent. It just doesn’t have the same insulating ability as a wood cabinet or other permanent enclosed space. No worries, this is offset by a small desktop heater and keeps the environment exactly where desired. The other issue was a production problem - the ceiling vent was accidentally stitched into the corner seams on the assembly line. Again, no real issue - just pulled it out with no damage or fraying to the tent or port👍. Closest comparable to it that I’ve seen would be spiderfarmers line of qbs. They feature the same top-o-the-line components and roughly similar spectrums. Where VS takes the advantage is in the convenience of the dimmer nob which is easily accessible and works great at 50% with no strobing👍. The heat sink is also larger which contributes to lower temps. That’s not a good thing in my case but beneficial for most folks. I can already say that this will be a great fixture through all stages of growth. Where I know this light will excel will be in the veg. Stage for sure. Dimming function gives seedlings a much better chance of success with the ability to use lower lighting levels early on and the coverage area on a 240w is great. The average grower will find this panel suitable and fitting to their needs in a 2x4 grow space although I’d suggest 2 units if going any larger than that. The total output in this space equates to about 30w/sq.ft. Which is a decent amount of coverage based on power vs. Growprint. Ideal for veg. Certainly but, in flower - I tend to run closer to 50-60w/sq.ft to achieve higher yields. Again, similar fixtures have performed admirably in the past and while this wouldn’t be considered an “entry-level” fixture, I’d recommend that any grower new to the game not skimp on lighting and start with one of these. The price points are a great value for quality LED tech. These days, so there’s little reason to even consider a lesser fixture👍. I have no detail on limiting factors for this light as yet but have heard that stock branded fixtures don’t necessarily incorporate enough red diodes. I’ve seen no issue myself but confess - I’m no lighting guru. I dont have pics from this week, so atleast Doink i smoked, everything stayed same, I figured I had high PH so I bring it back to 6.1 as ideal by Plagron, feeding 1.6EC. , 400PPFD 18/6

Defoliated some leaves to let light in, chopped one down early as I run out of bud 🙄 it's good for less than 4 weeks flowering. Have them rice water starch again this week in with there food. A layer of frost is slowly forming 😎 hopefully they will fatten up nice and frost up really good to 🤞

Started LST in the 3 younger plants but I messed up on the Sweet Cheese, I wasn’t expecting such a weak main branch and it completely broke when I was trying to bend it 😣

The Apple Cup hermied this week along with the Baker's Dozen. Fortunately Tropicanna Poison is flowering so fast that it seems to be unbothered by the hermies next to it. The hermied plants will be stunted as more energy will be focused on developing pollen/seeds. Also I'll have to chop them down early before any seeds begin to solidify within the buds. It's ideal to immediately remove any hermies as soon as pollen sacs are spotted. Unfortunately I only have my small closet space so I decided to leave them and observe the growth of hermies.

Well that was a special day, it always make me sad in a way, but this time, I enjoyed the moment a lot. As I wrote in a reply to a comment, things can always be better, and they are with good decisions at the right time. These are the smallest and the biggesr plant, one seed didn't germenated and that's why I had to put a Red Gorilla. Not sure I will try a main mlinning on auto flowering strains any more.... but I think I did it wrong, first I took the one that seemed less strong for the experiment, and having 2 other plants to compete for lights. FIM is definetly a technique I will reuse if needed. It's so nice to have these genetic contrasts, colors, aromas, shapes. Many thanks for all the help you gave, precious. 19/04/2024 lower popcorn buds seems dried already! But still branches don't crack on bends. Will check again on Monday. I finally have received, lately a portable microscope, will be more ususeful next year! But this confirms that lower buds might have need more maturity but did the choice to not over complicate by harvesting in 2 times, my indoor tent is also my drying tent, and I wouldn't have any other place to dry the upper buds separetly while allowing the remaining to harvvest with more maturity. In general I think I might have began the Final part too early. BTW, we smoked the popcorn bud, and it's very promissing, we liked it.

Week 21 - It's a JUNGLE! I'm back and OMG! She's so big! Not only tall.... but... ROUND! I couldnt fit her into a picture, so did a video instead. Wow! She is really something! My Gardena autmatic AI watering system is working wonders. Fed her some nutrients today but I'm not sure I want her to grow more. The colas are taking shape, the buds are beginning to swell. Can't wait to taste these nugs

So far this setup is pretty great in the sense I haven't done anything with it :D Will probably be doing my first tank emptying soon as it looks like it's starting to flower. Didn't do any topping or use any scrog net. this is really a set-and-forget grow. Let's see how the setup behaves during flowering though and if any problems pop up

So, guys.. This is her first month blooming. 4 complete weeks has passed. Here we are for 2 more. Gave Her a super powerful egg shell fert (all powdered - Phosforium Whelthy.) 07/10/20 - We are in the middle of week 5. Thats the way they look like. For me a good number of buds and they are as dense as I thought they would be by this time. I think everything is under control despite some foxtails cuz the heat. Loving the experience.

She had a simple life little lst but thats about it she looked small as a plant but ended up being my highest yeild plant over 100 grams dry flower had couple problems with me feeding to much but sorted out just fine overall its a nice plant to grow very quickly and easy just don't get carried away with food my experience less additives the better grow simple with autos from fastbuds especially 2 or 3 additives is plenty or your gonna run the risk of buring them 😤 grow for this plant was 10/10 hardly any effort needed 70 quick days

End of 6th week. Switched light set up around yet again. Think we got the golden sweet spot with this light setup finally, it's a short tent the cobs were just too intense so it's now in the big tent, using three lights we originally got for supplemental lights. Not a clean set up wires everywhere, not overly happy about that. But very cool and explosion of buds. Did LST the tall guy everything is coming in nice and even now. Gonna be a beautiful turn out. Colors Already.. Super stoked for that first smoke.

Came home from vacation to gorgeous ladies and their light fragrances. More to follow soon.

Starting to see almost all Milky trichomes. Buds are pretty dense. Smell is strong and loud. Smells like lemon sweet kushy

Just started to give them full dose of cal mag, mammoth p and recharge. Their leaves got a dark green shiny, yellow tips and curling down, I think my ppms are too high and I will start flushing it out to 1500. I am growing in organic and only feeding cal mag, mammoth p, molasses, recharge and every other week a compost tea with living soil girl flower power full dose. Ph Is around 6.7 and giving it 6.5. Hopefully the next time they are read for a flush I’ll fix these.

The white widow is a few days into flowering and the Northern Lights looks to be in preflower. I'm adding 5ml of sensi bloom part A and B per gallon of water, and 3ml of big bud
