Thank you to everyone for following this journey! The results were nuts. Honestly, I would've been happy with 40g dry as this is my first grow. I DEFINITELY did not expect this outcome which is insane. This gives me so much confidence in my future grows and appreciation for the companies whose products I used. So, now to the point - Dry weight - Top class buds - 176g, smaller buds - 32g, larf/leaves/scissor hash - 26g. To sum up - 208g of product you can smoke and 26g that'll go to edibles. First grow, 2x2 tent, 100w light, three-part fertilizer and cal mag - that's insane, especially because I was expecting nothing more than 60g and like I mentioned, I would've been happy with 40g. I even thought my scale was broken or something went wrong, I still can't believe I pulled 208g of bud. It took 117 days from seed to smoke - that's disregarding the cure. Seed to flower in 42 days. Flower to harvest in 61 days. 14 days drying. Thank you to FastBuds, I've sent them an email about the grow with some questions and got a speedy reply with some pointers towards the end of the flower. Also, I don't have anything to compare this grow with but I had 0 issues with pests which I was really happy about. I didn't have to spray anything on the plants, didn't have a single bug inside the tent. They mention on the website that NL is a very resilient strain so that might've been because of this specific strain. Spiderfarmer light did amazing too - 208g of bud from 100w light!. General Hydroponics did way better than I expected - there's so many companies with multiple bottles of nutrients that expect you to spend ridiculous amounts of money on their products while I got crazy results with just 3 basic bottles. Cal and Mag by Canna worked with no complaints. Takeaways - seems like the runoff pH doesn't matter in coco - I could be wrong but I struggled with coco pH from the very beginning. Regardless, the outcome speaks for itself. Maybe the harvest would've been even better with an optimal pH but in this particular grow, I don't think it mattered much. Before starting this grow I've done A LOT of research and it looks like it most definitely paid off! I was panicking at first because of the slow growth. The plant also had some leaf deformities and the color wasn't as green as I've expected it to be. It was stressful at first, I think especially because I was constantly comparing my grow to someone else's. This specific LST method where I kept rotating the main stem clockwise every day or two paid off as well. The canopy was relatively even and new tops grew crazy fast. The only thing left to do is to cure the bud. I had two 1.5L containers ready for cure/storing since I didn't expect to pull much but had to go acquire a few more "big boys" to fit all the product in, which is a good problem to have. I don't think that I'll be updating the cure here but the plan is to burp 2x/day for 15-30min each time for the first week and 1x/day for 15-30min the second week. After the first couple of weeks I won't be timing the burps. As of now, I've placed boveda 62% packs inside the containers to maintain a RH of at least 58% in the jars. About the Northern Lights strain - the smell hasn't fully returned yet post trim, but it smells like sweet fruits with a hint of black pepper. You can still smell a bit of pine/grass but I think that'll be gone after the cure. Buds are covered with trichomes, they shine like diamonds when you take a better look. Also, the buds look a little airy but are still really dense when pressed. The smoke - It's a tasty, relaxing high. I get why people describe it as night time smoke but for me personally, it grounds me a bit and I can enjoy it anytime. Also, it burns white ash :)) P.S. Number 2 pheno might herm on me so I have to watch but I have limited plants and I really want to keep these genetics so I need atleast one female. Number 3 the mutant stopped growing before I topped, or maybe not stopped but it threw out pistils at the apical meristem and not producing leaves so I topped to see if I could promote side growth but it hasn't worked; I'm going to keep her around just for the fun of it. 4 is my hope of producing female and a good clone.

Crazy week. Weather has changed went to be more rainy and colder. Some days were even close to 6 celsius degrees in the night. We have got more like cloudy some days with some hours of sun but nothing significantly strong light. She does well, getting dense and the smell is very strong!!!!!! Like sweet and citrus and like absolutely I feel in my mouth tho....very very very nice!!!!!! Looking also good maturing she is quite big so i surrounded her from one side with rubbis bag to not be be able to see by my neighbours... obviously not a tomato plant even if she is placed between.... 🤪 She will make it more rain less sun but she is okay. I also checked the trichomes nice maturing they look milky but apparently they need to mature and the pistils are white anyways I go after the trichomes I think she grew more a bit as well. I am happy ;)

So week 8 flowering, the plant in the back starts to get purple tints (night temperature drops to 12celcius. trichomes on both plants are cloudy (on top) at bottom they have clears left so i go another week and well see what happens. i give only tap water now dont mind the butterfree hes protecting my buds from sneeky neighbours

Still stacking up grapefruit is not as impressive as gorilla glue and strawberry pie. One of my Vivusun 315 watt CMH ballasts stopped working after only a month’s use. I’m trying to get a replacement but the company is making me jump hoops for warranty. I have had a Topolite 630w CMH for three years and it’s still working great. I cut lights down to 12/12 to see if grapefruit will start to stack up. The smell is definitely getting stronger with the sticky strawberry pie being the strongest.

Well it's been an awesome week :) Plants have responded way better than expected to both LST & fimming, I've got a good canopy and plenty of potential colas that are growing well and at an even level. Also, won £200 on a scratchy, so decided to invest in a better light. Went from 300w LED (true draw 130w) to 1800w LED (true draw 595w). The difference in the light is clear to see. Both plants have motored through initial training with LST and fimming without skipping a beat. I've read so many mixed opinions on topping / fimming autos, it was a hard decision to make. In the end, I decided to give it a try and find out for myself. If I'd had any concerns about the plants ability to cope, I wouldn't have done it, but if your plant is looking strong and healthy then it may be something to think about. Personally, I think there is no right or wrong, because it's probably entirely situational - too many variables like strain, genetics, environment, growing medium, lights etc to say one way or the other really. But for this grow right here? I think it was a good decision I'm extremely happy with the results. Scrog net now in place, and both girls are starting to boogy on upwards. No sign of pre-flower yet, I'm hoping they grow into the net before they start stretching too hard. Also, some weird findings from my runoff EC since I got the new light. Runoff EC has always been about 50-75 micro siemens above input. It was predictable as hell. But when the new light was installed, the runoff EC started to drop to about +25 from input... then the same as input..... and now my runoff EC is LOWER than input. Thought it might just be an anomoly, but it has now been consistently lower, every feed for the last 3 days. I'm going to post a question, but if anyone has any bright ideas wtf is up with that, let me know!! Gave them transition nutes this week and they'll be going into the flower room today. 🌺 I grabbed some clones from these girls but they ain't looking too hot rn. The runt I left untapped so hopefully it catches up with the others during the stretch. 🤷‍♂️🏽🌱🌿

We are getting closer! A few trichromes turning amber. Flushing until harvest. Have a few nanners popping up here and there; apparently not an issue this late in flower (and read male flowers this late are typically sterile?). Have plucked the ones I have seen. Raised the light just a bit to try and reduce any stress that could be causing herming, if it’s not the plants last ditch effort to reproduce. Pics/vid day 104/62F since breaking soil.

In size they grow ;) attempting to keep mainlining and light defoliation. biggest plants starting to flower up. gonna feed her with bio pk, next watering sensing that the other plant is a little week behind. 24-05 sweet cheese got her first dose of biopk

The girls are just fat blooms. It is approaching the harvest. Certainly not next week, but I'm already checking the trichomes under a magnifying glass. It's time, they're not all white yet. Blooms makes me very happy, they smell beautiful, they are big and thick and even red. 😍

Was in a rush to finish these due to unforeseen circumstances, so I started the Overdrive feeding early in hopes to compensate for this.

Very good journey to me, she has responded very well to the lst training, providing me beautiful colas, enough for me to have nice clean organic nuggets to smoke. I would definitely would run this Ak420 by seedstockers again, the sweetest phenotype was the number #2 which you can take a look at here in my page!

In the middle of week 5 and things are still running well. I will try and get more pictures as the plant really starts the flowering push.I haven't done any thing new other then add some supports to certain stems that might need it later in the flowering stage.

Overall I'm extremely impressed with this strain. Terpene profile definitely leans traditional GG#4. Extremely pungent and lingering aroma. I personally wouldn't consume this if I had any plans for the day. Definitely helps with my sleep issues. The bud to leaf ratio was above average and fairly easy to trim. The bud themselves are extremely resinous and dense. So if you've followed this grow you'll know I made to change back to organic growing and made a light change mid grow. I'm glad I went back to organics because it's always been the favorable growing style of mine. I switched to a light bar style LED from Kind LED lights and noticed a big difference over the Spider Farmer. Now let me state that the Kind pulls more watts and should technically on paper out perform the smaller SF2000 from Spider Farmer. This is not at all a slam against Spider Farmer because I love my Spider lights. I really didn't do anything special this grow other than my normal routine. I topped multiple times and the rest was a mixture of LST and HST techniques. I finished in a 10 Gallon pot to try and fill my canopy to provided grow area. The organics I pretty much kept as simple as possible. Amended soil before transplant and topdressed every 4 weeks. What I would consider the most important aspect of organic growing is to not let the soil dry out and keep the microbial life in your soil prosperous and happy. Well im not very good at this at all but I do hope everyone enjoyed this grow and appreciate all the support and comments ❤️. Thank you. Oh I pulled 12.47 ounces off of this plant dried 😁
