Throughout the week I had been increasing the light intensity and ended up running at 95% of what the SF4000 can do. I have stopped doing the 48 hours of darkness awhile back, so Harvest to come! 5 day since switching to 12/12 did a bit of defoliation tonight .both plants are already feeling quite sticky and there is not a pistol insight yet. The cyco additives definitely make a huge difference to the nuggets at the end

D-50 : Everyone is doing great ! The one that had a difficiency alert a couple of weeks ago has recovered. Thanks to the community's helpers ! I setup the net 2 days ago so the flowers are driven to the light and covers maximum of space in the tent. Well, with only 3 strains, I'm not sure it's very usefull, but later would be too late, so I'm doing that now. I already know when I'm going to harvest those girls cause I will be in hollydays for one week at the end of december. So, I'll harvest between the 19th december. I also know what will be my next grow : 3 Shogun (RQS) with 3 Chocolate Haze (RQS). All of themp in the 1m² box. I'll try main-lining with two time toppings on them. They should be a litle less tall after that and optimizing the flower production. At the same time I will test the SmartPots. I think I'm good for a 19 weeks session with 7-8 week veg. and 9-10 weeks flo. So I could start the session at the very bigining of january in the second box (Secret Jardin DP60) while the first session is gently drying... D-53 : all is good :) just add Biobizz Microbes today. Let’s see ! D-55 : add Calmag today to the nutrients. Hope it will help the litle Pinapple that shows a bit of deficiencies.

👋Top is a clean cut, no confusion for the plant, road ahead is clear, by completely removing the main growth tip, the auxin source is eliminated. The plant permanently halts vertical growth from that main stem and immediately sends its energy and hormones to the two new, evenly spaced branches just below the cut. Fimming slightly different because a small tuft of the top growth is left behind, the auxin disruption is temporary and less severe. The plant recovers more quickly and sends its energy to multiple surrounding growth points, often creating four or more new shoots from the same spot. It will eventually regain some vertical dominance after a few weeks if left to its own devices, but with a little more LST, bending the apex to the same height as the rest of the internodes, this shatters dominance, hopefully creating around 8-9 main shoots growing at equal height once recovered and grown out. Reduced environmental intensity for now and let her focus on dealing with this new stress for a week or two. When H+ ions are added to soil, the first nutrient displaced from exchange sites is typically aluminum (Al3+), if it's present, followed by calcium (Ca2+), magnesium (Mg2+), and potassium (K+), because aluminum and these base cations have different binding strengths. The displaced nutrients can be lost from the root zone through leaching, becoming unavailable to plants. As H+ ions increase, the proportion of acid cations (H+ and Al3+) on the exchange sites increases, while base cations (Ca2+, Mg2+, K+) decrease, resulting in a lower soil pH. The amount of photosynthesis (water splitting) directly determines the availability of H+ ions (protons) in a plant. 90% of water is for cooling of photosynthetic apparatus the other 10% is split for its H+ among others things. Carbon sugars, like glucose, do oxidize in soil through a process primarily driven by microorganisms, which break down these sugars for energy. This oxidation converts the sugars into carbon dioxide (CO2) through cellular respiration, a key part of the soil carbon cycle, though some carbon may also be incorporated into soil organic matter. The rate and extent of sugar oxidation depend on factors like oxygen availability, the presence of Fe oxides, and soil redox conditions, which can all influence the process. My understanding of why we flush. Just plain water, what does it do? Strips the medium of salts and nutrients making it empty. What does that do? Triggers nutrient recycling within the plant. What's nutrient recycling? It is a natural part of plant senescence, which can be triggered once you know the switches. A 24:1 carbon-to-nitrogen ratio will also trigger. Why won't it trigger autophagy for me? Nitrogen needs to be gone, gone, gone almost. Ammoniacal (organic) nitrogen takes 4-5 times more water to separate it from soil particles than nitrates so what happens is most people jist flush the nitrates, leave all the ammoniacal in there and this prevents autophagy initiating. Nitrogen decays differently depending on its form during the dry. Ammoniacal nitrogen will oxidize in the air, leaving no trace. But nitrates do no decay and turn volatile and smelly and remain trapped until smoked, no matter how long you cure it does not oxidize. This is why you need to trigger it and begin the denitrfication process prior to harvest to get rid of all the nitrates. Otherwise, you will smoke it. Flush till autophagy begins, just make sure you add no nitrogen afterwards. Micronutrients for trichomes. Don't leave the medium empty for 2 weeks, that does nothing but reduce yield 10%ish. Trichomes are another thing. Trichomes themselves are not directly affected by flushing; rather, flushing affects the plant's nutrient uptake, which influences the development and final state of the trichomes. Trichomes are filled with antioxidants in the last weeks, which is what makes them cloudy. A lot of the processing of antioxidants requires energy and nutrients (mostly micronutrients ), so you don't want that soil empty for 2 weeks, you just want the carbon nitrogen ratio 24:1and no higher. She still wants what she needs to ripen. Processing antioxidants is energy-intensive; heat and light accelerate the rate at which THC converts to CBN. This is why you lower DLI, lower temps. By doing so, you reduce the oxidative workload caused by photosynthesis, which opens up the oxidative capacity for the production of antioxidants. THC is mostly processed at night when the plant's oxidative capacity is generally moreso "free and available" for work

Dernière semaine de croissance. Changement de solution fait le dimanche 22/11 car le ph commençait à descendre en dessous de 6.2 et cela faisait 1 semaine que j'avais fais le précèdent changement. Le PH lors du changement était de 6,8. Il est monté jusqu'à 7.5 mais je laisse le filtre faire son oeuvre. Il est actuellement à 7.1 et continue de descendre naturellement. carence en fer. Ajout d'une dose supplémentaire de Sensi CalMg Edit au 25 : Malheureusement ce que je sentais venir est arrivé, saturation en N. Le Ph et l'EC continuaient de baisser tous les deux. Les parties basses des plantes étant sombre et ayant une carence en fer sur la partie haute (puisque élément mobile), j'en ai déduit que c'était une carence en fer induite par une surfertilisation en N. J'étais à un EC de 1, je suis revenu à 0,8 le mardi 25 au soir. La bioponie est très capricieuse au niveau de l'azote. Le mercredi 26 le ph remonte ce qui signifie qu'on a stopé le processus de dégradation du N. Je devrais changer la solution mais je dois passer bientôt en flo donc j'ai enlevé de l'eau et rajouter, histoire de tenir jusqu'au prochain changement de solution qui est prévu samedi sauf si la situation dégénere de nouveau avec le PH. I should change the solution but I have to float soon so I removed some water and added more, to hold until the next change of solution which is planned for Saturday unless the situation degenerates again with the PH. We are going to be slowing down on the watering and the nutrients for CH#1 through the next couple weeks Im seeing signs of stuff I dont like so Im correcting it now before it gets outta hand . Other then that she's growing well pushing for her third node . Won't be long now till she explodes in growth !! We are dialing the nutrients back to 1/4 strength and I wont be watering as often till we back on track . Im alternating between feedings so that I dont overload the medium . ********** Week 2 of flower - Sept 26 to Oct 2/20 *********** It has been an exciting week with finding a crack in a main stem and started new supplemental nutrients as well. On Sept 28 I found a crack and had to do some repairs. Gorilla Girl was better off than one of the Cream 47’s with a cracked stem. GG4 was caught early enough that she didn’t separate much at the base. Looks to be as though I have caused the issue by topping the main stem a little too low😢 Coming back though and when tied together and looked after, its crazy how these plants can heal themselves😀💪👍 Took the tips from fellow growers and decided to try and fabric something with some cushion so that the straps holding the branches together don't cut into the branches. Needed another tool of the trade.......DYNAVAP to calm the nerves😀 because the grow has been going well and this set back has me pissed off as it is grower error😡 Seems to have worked out pretty well. Switching the PK booster at the end of the week to Big Bud and started to add Rezin from Green Planet. Not much for Bud Factor X left so will run with Terpinator and Rezin as a replcement. 2nd layer of SCROG netting added early in the week, Sept 27/20. They are pushing out a good amount of leaves now and stretching so need to provide that added support for down the road. IPM spray again this week, last opportunity, with Plant Therapy. There has been something in the tent and I think I have killed them. One more shot though to make sure and before there are too many bud sites. Love this product!!!!!! Works so well at getting rid of thrips and mites. Really good growth this week. I need these girls to stop now though!!!!! They getting really tall and have roughly 12” above the canopy now. The node stacking is really good and they are forming a number of colas. Looking very positive so far! This strain is so vigorous and she just want to go👍 They have gone from 18” tall to 34” in a week......crazy good growth. Little more detail........ Sept 26/20, Day 8 - Little heavier feed as they have not been watered for two days - 4L - CalMag @ 2ml, Sensi Bloom, B52, Bud Candy, Bud Ignitor @ 1ml - 830ppm and 5.7pH - will start to let the pH rise bit now over next couple of weeks - side branching doing very well and coming up. - GG4 a little bare in the middle of the plant with just four colas. Sept 27/20, Day 9 - 2nd SCROG layer added. - GG colas getting long........need to add more Silica as well. Sept 28/20, Day 10 - more microbes today - 4 L - Microbial Mass @ 1.5ml, CalMag @ 1ml - 290ppm and 6.3pH - pH was a little high but left it...wasn't moving and then boom,,,,,,,oh well. - Good amount of runoff today. - GG4 has one cola leaves not happy. Not sure if its light or wind. Moved the closest fan to her today. - GG1 shooting lots of branches right now. - GG4 bud stacking is happening already and doing very well. Oct 1/20, Day 13 - Switching PK booster today to Big Bud......these two girls are past bud ignitor.....already stacking. - 3L - CalMag, Sensi Bloom, B52, Bud Candy, Big Bud @ 1ml - 665ppm and 5.9pH - Since these girls are so tall I am not going to give them Green Planet Massive. I find they get quite a bit taller with that product. I am looking for chunky and not tall so I will keep up with Advanced PK boost. - IPM spray tonight again with Plant Therapy. Think I have seen some bug damage on Cream 47 girls. That takes us to the end of week 11 in growth and week 2 of flower. Time will go quick now that we are off and running. Will be done feeding by early week 7. Want a good flush and leeching on these girls to get all the nutes out. I have been missing it by a few days on the last few auto runs and want this photo run to be better as I have a better track of weeks and when she will be done..........should be the end of week 9 to first days of week 10 of flower, about 7 more weeks. This ladys packing on to 4 fatty colas and stacking them to the tits. She has other branches obviously lol but the 4 colas are all sharing dominance and really getting fat. Bud structre is really coming in now. Very round and dense. Lots of flowers already piled on at every bud site. Trichomes are piling on thick already. This is gunna get mighty frosty! I reduced the nitrogen dose again. I also stopped giving her vigorous. Its a pure bloom mix now as this lady is booming with flowers. Until next update. Happy growing and stay lit fam.
