Grow Diary Update: Week 5 - Pre-Flowering and LST Evaluation Entering Pre-Flowering Stage At the end of last week, the first pistils appeared, marking the beginning of the pre-flowering stage for my plants 🙌 There's much to manage now. To support optimal stretching, I've adjusted the nutrients following 2/3 of the Terra Aquatica feeding schedule: CalMag: 2 ml/l (Starting EC before adding nutrients: 0.45 mS/cm) Grow: 1.33 ml/l Bloom: 1.0 ml/l Micro: 1.33 ml/l The nutrient solution now has an EC of 1.3 mS/cm (638 ppm PPM-500/TDS) with a pH of 6.1. These adjustments aim to promote vigorous growth and prepare the plants for flowering. Weather and Growth With significant weather improvements, my plants are thriving at full speed. Every centimeter gained now counts towards maximizing the final yield, turning around from the challenging weeks prior. Pest Management I'm fortunate not to have encountered pests like spider mites, aphids, or thrips. However, the persistent snail issue remains. Nightly patrols with a flashlight have been effective, and placing old lettuce leaves away from the plants has helped trap and remove snails, ensuring the plants remain undisturbed. LST Experiment Results The two plants I trained with LST have responded admirably, showing healthy adaptation to the bending and vigorous growth. Yet, I'm at a crossroads regarding the upcoming stretch phase: should I continue to tie down branches to maintain an even canopy or allow natural upward growth to potentially boost vertical yield? Less is more. Lesson learned. Without training these plants, having the fifth plant has really cramped the tent. Because I have limited space for the tent, access into the sides isn't possible. I have only the front entrance. Next time I think I will stick yo maybe three strains that have been positive and try and find the time to train more. The WOS-Northern/Skunk has grown out so nicely into a Xmas tree type of posture. She is making her really good friends with her neighbours, perhaps to their detriment. Seedsman Blueberry continues to be solid and unphased by anything. This is the first time I have smelled a plant that has such a fruity aroma. It really took me aback in surprise. Very cool. HiFi 4G needs support. Did a McGyver solution for the time being. Doesn't appear to have bulked up much this week. Jack is about the same. A bit of bulk up but not expecting this one to be a big yielder. Appears healthy overall so I'm happy. CBD+ bulked up for sure on the main cola's. I'm skeptical she will be done at 60 days at this point....but have to trust what Dinafem are telling me. Be safe folks.

Week 7

So, I keep my EC around 1.9-2.0, that represents about 3ML/L of sensi bloom a and b I thought I had some big bud left, but no, I'm tempted to use it again, because as much as I'm a fan of Advanced Nutrients, the price and the volume of fertilizer to use in their systems make them a money pit. So I'm thinking of using Athena for the RDWC and keep AN for my drip system and coco. To replace I think of the booster PK of Athena which is applicable from the 21 -th day of bloom. For the LEDS, I went to 70% intensity, or 1000 ppfd. All good, I will go to 80% MAX recommendation of SANlight without c0² in week 3. I put a first net, I placed about 1 apex per square and I will now let it grow, I don't "knit". I will install a second net at the 21 -th day of flowering which will be used as a stake.

July 20th, 57 days post flip. Plant is maturing well. I was worried with the color changes that she wouldn’t put on much weight but the buds are still fattening and gaining weight. Starting to see some of the branches not caught by the scrog starting to collapse. Most Trichomes are still clear, seeing some orange Trichomes on the leaves but none at all on the calyxes so thinking another week or two. I did lower the lights from 80% down to 60% on July 19th to slightly lower my DLI in the last week or two. Will continue to give only water, been watering by hand as the auto set up was under watering. She seems to be responding much better to hand waterings. Smell has been and still is crazy, cannot wait to smoke this thing. I tried squeezing one of the upper buds and she is beyond dense, I couldn’t even get the bud to collapse. I took a small popcorn and will give it a test in a week or two likely around the same time the plant gets chopped. God bless!

I just wanted to let the people know about topping and the benefits and when I did my research there was not much for documentary purposes very great results super cropping is a must and topping to create more nodes

Did a little Defoilation in the garden trimmed of any branches thar werent going to reach the top cleaned up the fans leaves that were blocking air circulation so far so good getting these ladies ready for transition😶‍🌫️

The plants look nice and healthy but they are not going to be monster plants. I gave the plant which is ahead in development some low dose nutrients this week to try and prolong its flowering a bit. I also defoliated a little bit as the fan leaves were blocking light access to some of the buds. Not sure whether it was a mistake.. let’s see 😀 I increased the light intensity to ca 640 umol/m2/s and raised the lights a bit to provide more even light to the canopy. The trichomes are already cloudy so I estimate that I can harvest in ca. 2 weeks. Hope the buds will still fatten up a bit.

Last week for this stunner so lucky as the summer temperatures are set too sore next week , so really couldn't have timed the end of these plants more perfectly ,

Esa familia, otra cosecha más, no tan contento esta vez la variedad en si está buena pero su cultivo es algo complicado y no está estabilizada la genética, los días de floración son más de 55 días como dice el banco,más de 3 meses de floración con estos ejemplares... Pero mereció la pena esperar el colocón es bastante fuerte, para mi que , sativa dominante a mi parecer, 24% de thc , cruzada entre cookies x OG Kush , muy productora en general. Así esto es todo , pronto más trabajos, buenos humos familia.
