This week went well, she stopped stretching on Day 47 and I transitioned to flowering nutes. I finally decided to set up another reservoir, so I will now have one for veg and flower nutrients, with a valve that I can easily switch between either reservoir for either plant. Not much left to do for this one, just sit back and hope that the buds get nice and fat. She is still loving this new Mars Hydro EC 3000, and excited to see what happens over the next few weeks. See main diary for additional information. 2313: Fat chonky colas, fast and early flowering. This plant bulked up a lot between 6 and 7 weeks. Nice purple tones on the buds but no signs of deficiency and lots of stored nutrients to finish this plant off.

~ FASTBUDS TESTER #2203 ~ Well friends, here we go on another 'canna-venture' together! The grow room has had a complete remodel and some upgrades done to it including brand spanking new 4x8 and 4x4 tents and a Trolmaster Hydro X controller along with a new Control Panel. This tester strain is one of six tester strains that FastBuds has graciously provided me with and I'm looking forward to seeing what this girl has to offer when she's grown to her full potential! One drawback of 'testers' is I have little to no information on it other than its number and that it's an autoflower... 🤪 But, it's ALWAYS a blast growing them for me because not knowing a lot allows me to just concentrate on the essentials: Light, Environment, Water, Nutrients and possibly a bit of LST... not complicated, just basics like keeping a constant temperature and RH in the tent at a level that gives a good VPD, watering when almost dry and maintaining proper light levels according to their stage of growth. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ ~THE SETUP~ ~Initially seeds were lightly scuffed, then soaked for 3 hours in 78℉ distilled water after which they were transferred to moist paper towels laid out in a Jiffy Pellet plastic starter tray with lid. Underneath the tray was placed a Mars Hydro Heat Mat with Controller that was set to 78℉ where they stayed until their tap roots emerged. ~Planted into Jiffy Peat Pellets that were hydrated with distilled water warmed to 78℉ with a 7.0 ph. ~Once roots emerge from the Jiffy Pellet they're transferred to their fabric pots. ~Grown 100% organic in a 4g Gronest fabric pot and a 3g fabric pot by Wraxly filled with Mother Earth 70/30 Coco/Perlite medium and initially amended with Dr. Earth 4-4-4 / Earthworm Castings / Dr. Earth Flower Girl 3-9-4 and Coast of Maine Stonington Blend Organic Plant Food 5-2-4. ~19/5 light cycle for the entire run with supplemental UVA added during flower. Lights are controlled by a Trolmaster Hydro X controller set for a 15min Sunrise/Sunset simulation. ~Top dressing every 3-4 weeks with slow release dry amendments and Earthworm castings. ~Straight water ph'd @ 6.2-6.8 when needed and bi-weekly Compost Tea's. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Weekly Updates: 1/19- Here we go into Week Four of flower and these testers are ON FIRE!🔥🔥🔥 Both testers are in a flower frenzy and are ready to eat! Today I gave both girls their last top dressing with Down To Earth 4-8-4 Flower Mix at a ratio of 2tbsp/g and Coast of Maine's Stonington Blend 5-2-4 Organic Plant Food at a ratio of 1tbsp/g which I simplified by using 1/3 cup of the 4-8-4 and 1/4 cup of the 5-2-4 in the 4g pot and 3/8 cup of 4-8-4 and 1/8 cup of the 5-2-4 in the 3g pot. After working the amendments into the medium, I watered it in with 1g of straight de-chlorinated water ph'd to 6.6 @ 74℉. It will take a week for the microbes to begin breaking it down and will last for 3-4 weeks after that which should coincide with them finishing up, or close to it, enabling them to naturally 'flush' themselves out. I've also increased the power to the HLG 650R's the the Trolmaster Hydro X Controller to 75% which has them pulling 990w at the wall and have them hung 32" above canopy. I also starting adding in 4 hours of UVA during the middle of the light cycle for the remainder of flower. I've been monitoring their leaf temperatures and they're running 71-73℉ which is perfect! I have the AutoPilot APC8200 co2 Controller set to 1100ppm with a 100ppm window and the AC Infinity Cloudline T6 controller set to maintain a 74℉ temperature in the tent while the lights are on. 1/21- I'm watering these thirsty girls daily with straight de-chlorinated water ph'd it to 6.6 @ 74℉ and they're both thriving! The #1 pheno stays in a perpetual state of 'praying' and remains the 'Frost Queen' in the run she is a VERY happy girl! The #2 pheno, while different from her sister, is looking gorgeous and starting to really ramp up her trichome production! 1/23- I watered/fed both testers today with 0.75g of de-chlorinated water each with GreenGro's Natures Brix, Granular Myco and Flower Finisher mixed in, after which I added 1 tsp/g of unsulfured molasses and then ph'd it to 6.6 @ 74℉. They'll be getting straight water from here moving forward as the medium has enough food in it to support them until they finish. 1/25- Daily watering continued today with both girls receiving 0.75g of straight de-chlorinated water ph'd to 6.6 @ 74℉. OMG they're both looking fantastic with both looking amazing with a generous coating of trichomes covering their flowers, especially on the #1 phenotype and both have developed a funky sweet, creamy aroma! Just tucking away 🤣🤣🤣 Last weeks feeding was slightly too high for transition. I am realizing that the amount of fulvic/humid acid reduces the need for full strength ratios. This week we are going to feed 800 again, as the need for ppm’s has increased, but I am going to stay under 850 unless I see deficiency in leaves. The photosynthesis plus has been added to the mix. I know, I have recharge. However, there are certain strains in PP that recharge does not have. Specifically there is a strain for absorbing more from the lights. I have some purple stems from the light being a little to intense. We will be adding a little more cal-mag to the next feeding also. Looks like feeding will take place Tuesday/Wednesday this week. All plants are female and no Herms present for the party 😂😂 10-25 did a pre-feed of cal-mag, 8 oz. Later this evening I will do the main feeding 3 cups. The ratios are still 8-8-8 at 800 ppm’s. The extra ppm’s come in the form of extra cal-mag. Did some tucking as I am in stretch phase. So I work with a grower who is 76 years old. He has some old school techniques that make sense. He pre-waters his containers with 25% water. The remainder 75% is either nutrients OR additives that need to be added to the water. I took it a step further. I added cal-mag to the pre-water stage. Then I fed the nutrients second stage. Cal-mag is the “carrier” for nutrients throughout the plant. “Adding the nutrients after, makes it easy for the nutrients to fully saturate the soil and reach all the roots. This also prevents salt build up.” Ron’s Words. I will say my containers held double the amount of water using his method. 10-28 added some reflective material around the sides. My Growmie at RedmanFarms suggested I add it to the room. I am inside of an open air room for flowering cycle. Today was watering day. First watering was a light dose of cal/mag. Second watering was kelp, seaweed, photosynthesis plus, monk beans SST, fulvic/humic acid. One of the plants ( top left) seems to have a sulpher/magnesium deficiency ( it’s also the one with the soil I don’t like). I made some Iron/Tone tea by Espoma at 200 ppm’s and did a foliar feed. So far I see some progress on purple recessing and the growth has started to match the other 4. I have 1 more week of tucking to do and then I do a HEAVY defoliation on day 21. After than I won’t touch the plants other than feedings and water.

Day 72, 21st of November 2020: Hi! Wao this is what I can say and luckily stoppe streching.... All LST has been removed as the plants remain the same so no need to keep them in "chains". Those Original Sensible girls 3 of them (Gelato, Runtz Gum, Do-Si-Dos OG)went crazy, except Black Ghost OG she did not strech much typical little indica lady. And the THC crystals alrady on the leaves on the Runtz Gum and Do-Si-Dos OG just simply beautiful. Buds are coming getting thick they are gorgeous only I can see some some sort of deficiency on Do-Si-Dos OG a bit on some leaves. The fertilization schedula isnthe same every 2nd day and happens with the mix and ratio above. Wedding Gelato is beautiful also I hope the nice purple colour will come out as well in late flowering stage. :) The lamp is on 11.30 min and off 12.30 min. Last week was 15 min longer light cycle.... So every week 15 min shorter light cycle until the 5th week. So far -30 min. It switches on at 6 am and off at 17.30 pm.

This week I did a fair amount of work on my grow. I did a bit of defoliation and spent some time tying down branches to shape the canopy. My goal is to get buds growing wall to wall! I can't wait to see the results of my efforts.

After 5 days away, I couldn't wait to be back and see how they were doing 😍 I'm glad the automatic watering machine worked and they all are doing great, yeay. The fade has started and they look beautiful, just like their Mama ❤️ They have only been fed with water while I was gone and got a good (last?) feed on the last day of week 14, which is Day 98 in total and Day 51 of Flower. Their mom was sent into darkness on Day 62 of flower and since they are so similar, my guess is roughly the next 10 days. Yeay 🙌 I missed this bud. Happy week everyone ✌️

Things are looking real good now. Blueberry is in full stretch and she’s gonna be a big girl. Grapefruit coming along real nice after early struggles. I am having some issues with light burn on my blueberry, but I think it’ll be alright. Absolute explosive growth from the blueberry monster this week. She’s up to 43 inch and I’m loving the spacing she has. As you can see, not very much lst going on here, but that’s how I like it. Grapefruit has been chugging along real nice. Just starting to flower now and she’s a bushy gal. I’m really looking forward to the flowering weeks ahead. I think these two are gonna be pretty.
