Not every plant turns into a perfect showpiece — and honestly, this Critical run was a bit janky from start to finish 😅 She never really grew evenly, reacted strangely to feeding at times, and definitely kept me guessing throughout the whole cycle. But despite all the weird growth patterns and little setbacks, she still made it to harvest day covered in frost and carrying that classic heavy Critical aroma. This grow was a good reminder that not every run has to be flawless to be worth it. Sometimes the messy plants teach the most. Learned a lot about patience, recovery, and just letting the plant do its thing instead of forcing perfection. In the end, she still delivered some chunky buds, beautiful resin production, and another valuable lesson for the next round 🔥

Week 3 update, so far so good. Observed both plants have shot up in height exponentially roughly 4 to 6 inches between both of them. The larger one has essentially taken 3/4 of the tent surface area and is growing rapidly with tons of bud sights appearing. the smaller one is showing good growth as well but has essentially been outcompeted overall. both are growing tons of hair and there smell characteristics are pretty different overall. I'm sure they'll only get more pungent. the one on the left has more of a catpissy lemon thing going on and the big one is like pine, sweet, limes. Pictures will show smaller one appears more green. I've noticed yellowing on the lower foliage of the one plant around mid week and after speaking with a fellow companion I've decided to stop dropping ph to 5.8 and really just focus at 6.0. I've also started using sturdy stalk after considering the benefits and raised the light around 4 inches. No complaints so far

Been away for more than a week so unfortunately missed week 3 of the diary. During my absence baby girl grew well and became pretty big already, especially considering her state before. Decided to try LST and brought down the top branch. She starts to show couple of white hairs so next week should be the start of flowering. Branch went up well on the next day after tie down. Removed larger leaves blocking the light, baby looks great.

Day 35: Good say growmies. I hope we are all well in these odd times. The ladies have been very busy this week with plenty of action on the L.S.T training and constant resetting of the stakes to hold them down. Rhe only girl that won't be trained is the sweet cheese. I am curious to see how she does on her own as she has lots of growth tips poking out all over main. She is still low to the pots surface and only about 10 inches at the moment. Most of that has come about from this last week. She is still only displaying her sex pistils ( no not the band!) , at present but is approx 1 week behind the other plants. Gorilla Girl #3 is doing well and not showing any issues. I did snap her main at the 4th node while doing the video but am hoping she can offer some repair time to the clean snap with my quick repair job..( ooops). Thankfully it is where she would have been topped anyway so the two nodes have now got a chance to flourish more. Gorilla Girl #2 is still the biggest of the group and has been pushing all her stakes out with her strength. She is in flower now without doubt but only by a few days. I am hoping the stretch period will boost her height now too. she has a lot of growth tips to become buds too. Gorilla Girl #1 is chasing the #2 for top dog and looks good. she has also just about started to show flowers properly now too. I expect she will put a lot more growth on before she settles into her mid flowering so I have high hopes for this lady. Gorilla Girl #4 Still the smallest of the bunch but I have given her a nice bend to help get her lower limbs active and wanting.. The whole group had a full watering to runoff a few days ago and so far , are more than happy to be left alone a few more days. Be safe and well

So I posted a update on the previous week of how the Big Bang wasn’t looking so good…Well She really continued to show signs of distress as time went on, the plant wasn’t drinking anymore, was yellowing and dropping leaves. I repotted it yesterday because when stuck my finger in😉 I got a pretty bad Oder from her, the roots didn’t look too bad but I’m no gardener (yet) I rinse them down and placed her in some fresh soil with a little extra earthworm castings mixed in. I was thinking about chopping her and just using it for a tea or something but I can’t bring myself to do it, especially since I know there isn’t any any pest or infection(because it hasn’t effected the crystal candy which it is in every close proximity to)🤷‍♂️🏾 I’m rambling now but if anyone has any suggestions I’m all ears…Well eyes, and open to criticism. I had a fun experience growing this strain. She started out strong and finished pretty strong! The buds are covered in THC and smells sweet. The only thing I would really do better next time is trying not to nutrient burn her as much as I did towards the end. I also experimented with harvest time and came to the conclusion that the it's best to harvest a few weeks after their recommended time if you want denser buds (in my opinion). I do wish the buds were a bit more dense but I'm not a pro grower and that could be the reason for that. It's all a learning experience. It could be the strain because I'm going a Gorilla Cookies (FastBuds) and those buds are huge and don't have as many leaves. Overall I'm blessed with the outcome and I'm going to enjoy the perfectly dried buds soon :D I hope you all enjoy the little videos and music! haha I've only grown one plant before this which resulted in less than an eighth of bud so I'm beyond happy to say the least lol Let me know if you have any questions regarding growing and for some possible tips! Today is 3 weeks since Mexican Airlines broke out of the soil to become a seedling. She has really done a lot of cool growth in the time👍. I'm going to try changing up my training methods with this girl. First, I'm only doing one HST bend near the base of the stem (did this on Tuesday). Next, I'm going to try FIM'ing this time, instead of topping. GWE seemed to recommend a FIM pinch one a FIM cut, so that's what I did on Thursday. Last, I'm going to try LST again. 10.15.23 - Both plants watered with 6.4 pH + 3ml CalMag + 10ml Bloom + 0.5 TSP RECHARGE. I'll be going up to 15ml/bloom from now on. I did a pretty aggressive "final" defoliation and pruning of lower bud sights. Plants are still very green and happy. :) 10.17.23 - Girls are getting thirsty. Soil was nearly bone dry - gonna have to start watering more frequently. Watered today @ 6.4pH + 3ml CalMag + 15ml Bloom + 0.75 TSP Recharge. Did some additional pruning and the leaves are still very green and praying 10.19.23 - Both watered with 6.3pH + 3ml CalMag + 15ml Bloom. No recharge this feed, in a time crunch. Officially done defoliating / pruning. Time to just feed and let them go from now on :) Day 19 flower 10.21.23 - Both watered with 6.35pH + 3ml CalMag + 15ml Bloom + 1 TSP RECHARGE. The early developing trichomes are already over the fan leaves and are wildly sticky. The new smells are incredible and can't wait for them to get stronger over the next few weeks 10.21.23 - UPDATE: I took my 'end of week 3' photos and noticed that a lot of the leaves are showing early signs of overfeeding of P/K or both. Will be carefully measuring input/output from here on to ensure a slight lowering of soil EC.
