Ginger Nut Cookies & Aussie Music Videos Week 16 Harvest 17 th April 2020 This Entire feminised seed making and growing project was a very good learning experience for me. Right from the very start, when I successfully got a Cutting ,taken from a Barneys Farm Red diesel female plant to produce feminised pollen after treating it with a silver thiosulfate solution. I then used it to pollinate a Fastbuds Girl scout cookies auto plant and let it grow to maturity. This only produced 3 viable seeds one of which is the subject of this Diary. I made up the name "Ginger nut cookies" after a variety of cookies we have here in Australia that are made with ginger. They are the same colour as the distinct red hairs on the red diesel buds. And would you believe those same vivid red hairs were passed on to this plant so I wasn't too far off the mark with the strain name. Her flavour however is nothing like red diesel or girl scout cookies and infact as taken on a smell and aroma all of it's own. She has a lovely tropical fruit like taste and the smell is a bit like fruit yoghurt. It has an unreal after taste on the exhale and the lingering second hand smoke smells very sweet and enticing. She has a pretty well balanced high too not as potent as the GSC nor as energenic as the red diesel but just a pleasant mix of the two. It was a very easy to grow and undemanding plant that didn't seem to require a lot of extra feeding other than the 100% organic nutrients that were within the soil and a few things like compost teas etc. The other element of this diary was of course the weekly Aussie music videos That I provided the links for and put up a little video clip preview of each Artists song. Hello Diary. The second week of vegetation is over. Pretty a quiet week, I had one watering and more or less it was all action on “Farm”. Conditions are more or less good, I would like the humidity to be a bit higher but ok. Watermelon has grown 20 cm, which is double from the previous week. I didn’t add any nutrients, the soil is still rich in nutrients from Easy Boost Organic Nutrition, Mycorrhiza Mix and substances in the soil. From next week I will start adding BioBizz. Her roommates, the two Purple Punch are also progressing nicely and you can see them better in their own diary. Let’s see how it was this week. 07/02/2021 - Day 12. Watering. I regulated the water with Plagron’s Lemon Kick. In my case the tap water is about 8 p.H. so I lower it to a value between 6.0 and 6.5. I pour water into the bucket the day before to evaporate the existing chlorine from the water. I should have watered more often with less water but now it turned out that way. Temp / Humidity on the farm - 25 degrees and 49% humidity. 09/02/2021 - Day 14. Photographing plants, measuring height and analyzing the week. Temp / Humidity on the farm - 23.5 degrees and 40% humidity. Watermelon Auto - Day 14. - 20 cm For now, everything is cool, the conditions are good, the plants are progressing nicely, life is beautiful :). See you next week.

Beginning of week 9, the usual SST foliar and and 5l via drip, also 5l of rain water into the reservoir yesterday . I’ll probably veg week 10 & 11 maybe , want to fill the scrogg and stretch the tops after flip

Nothing much to report. She’s settled in and working on full flower. Cleaned a couple low hanging leaves, no more snipping past week 3. Up to every other day watering, roughly a liter. She’s been a breeze so far. Till next week.

Day42 of flowering Girl #1 seems to have tighter buds and is still smaller, but looks like she will finish later (although she popped first by a few days) Girl#2 is much heavier and has sucked the green from her lowest fan leaves even though she is fed well. She also smells soooo good, over ripe cantaloupe/melons. I am really happy with these plants, which I did not top and let colas grow. I am thinking of removing the cola fan leaves to let light blast the other tops. Day 45, Removed almost all fan leaves to expose as much bud as possible to lighting. Scent is very strong and sweet. Very resinous leaf
