Week 7 of Vegi an still no signs of flower

What is good fellow gardeners, So our jungle tour has come to an end and what can I say, it was a joyful ride in all ways. It had it’s ups and downs like many of my other grows but I still think growing is the best hobby. This last week we let the last two girls ripen completely and at the end of the week we harvested them. This time the drying took place in several stages, which turned out to be a good idea. First we hung them up for 3 days with leaves then trimmed and let them dry again for another 8 days. The scents and aromas were preserved in their perfect state which was the basis for the later smooth smoke experience. After an overall problem-free vegetative stage, there were some minor hiccups during the flowering period. We lost quite a few large flowers due to bud rot. The oscillation function of the fan broke precisely during the last critical period of flowering, which could obviously have contributed to this. There was a slight light leak at the zipper which may have caused stress to the first two plants. That’s why they had to be taken down 2 weeks earlier than the other two. Trichomes were fully milky with a few clear so wasn’t a big issue tho. This two showed similar characteristics in terms of taste and bud structure. A sweet and spicy taste with a hint of chocolate. Buds are dense and rock hard. One pheno turned out deep purple and had a bit slightly burnt sweet fruit cake taste. Buds are solid and rock hard. The last pheno is more spongy yet hard but not really compact. This one has the most sweet and fruity taste with a well balanced high. I would recommend this strain for those who loves fruity varieties. However sometimes can be hard to manage during flowering. Thanks to everyone who joined us for this jungle trip. Day 79. This Sunday they fall !!! What an amazing colours and grande type bud structure from GSCA !!! In love !!! NL SBG is ready too and caught up some weight, but Bob is so behind ... Give good contrast in photos tho ..... ;))) Mars light delivered as always !!! My friend will be chopping and in my tent it's only middle of flower ... All girls were planted on same day, just under SP3000 they develop a lot faster !!! Next time I will try bigger amount of dry amendments and will hope for no hickups ... Happy Growing !!!

Gracias de antemano Después de 3 días las purple lemonade salieron así que las planté directamente en su maceta.Las auto cheese todavía no salen , imagino que al ser semillas de regalo tardarán algo más en salir. Hoy hace la primera semana, las 2 lemonade ya asoman sus 2 primeras hojas. Las auto cheese siguen sin salir , creo que cambiare de planes y pondre 4 lemonade auque 2 empiecen una semana por detras.

Sep 7: what a great plant. Totally love how it’s going. Flowers keep getting fatter and heavier and she’ll be done before the end of September. Sep 8: there a tree root sticking up a bit in my yard which means the plant can be tilted toward the late afternoon sun. This is helpful because the sun is getting really low to the horizon already and we’re down to 13 h of daylight. Plus now direct sun is done in my yard by about 6 pm. Indirect light is okay but you really want direct sun at all times. Videos shows use of 730 nm far red light at dusk. Just a few seconds is all it takes to set the plant into dark mode two hours faster. It’s a bloom booster because you get two bonus hours of darkness or a 26 h day. Very effective but don’t miss a night and you have to adjust the timing each night. When starting this on July 20 Civil Twilight, as listed on timeanddate.com for my location, was at 9:45 and today it was at 8:40 pm. The red light at dusk is a highly recommended trick if you have daily access to your outdoor plants. Also works indoors, of course, and on autos too. Also I think it helps ‘stabilize’ the plant by emphatically putting it into dark mode, and therefore less susceptible to stray light to cause a hermie. Have not had hermie problems in four seasons of using the red light so that is my only ‘proof’ but it is true so far, even with taking flash pics before using the red light. Sep 9: getting heavier and now more branches are weighed down and slumping against the scrog net. Nice problem to have, I know, and without the scrog net some of the branches would be breaking off now. She’s now officially too big and too top heavy to keep moving around the yard in pursuit of direct sun. Sun is much lower to horizon now and direct sun hours are dropping too. Sep 10: getting close to done and getting very top heavy. Awesome. Sep 12: raining today. Has been cool last few nights and some purple colour is just starting to show. I don’t want to overdo fertilizer near the end, but I decided she is showing K deficiency. I’m out of malted barley but I still have potassium silicate, so I used that and some cal-mag. I’m avoiding kelp and molasses or using more P at this late stage because that can make the dried bud hard to burn and that really sucks. So, potassium silicate and cal-mag it is. The potassium silicate raises the pH and it takes about the same volume of vinegar to get the pH down. A good does of acetate is likely good for the bugs in the soil too. Then a squirt of Dr Bronners soap as a surfactant and that also supplies some biodegradable carbon for the bugs in the soil. Seems to work overall and is cheap. All 3 plants are different, the one at the back is as big as the other two. One of the plants in the front is in a 9 liter airpot and developing quicker than the other two. Also the buds are looking a bit different, very white on the bluecheese in the back. This week I also started adding Acti-Vera and Bio-Heaven, hopefully they like it. Not noticing anything unusual and I am glad I have the extra 20 cm to grow in hight in the new tent. Day 46, switched to bigger lights SF-G3000, fits perfect in a 70x70 😇 Light at 60%, 40 CM from top.

8 weeks into flower , white pistels still forming but thricombes are ready .

Day 22 22/07/24 Monday Nothing new to report. Starting to see them beautiful fans appear that's all 😁✌️ Day 23 23/07/24 Tuesday Feed today, giving them straight all nutes Inc flowering nutes. I will update the dose as they grow and develop a bigger hunger. (Not sure what's wrong with Overdose #2, bit mutated, we'll see how she gets on 😅) Video updates 👌💚 Day 26 26/07/24 Friday De-chlorinated watering pH 6 with 5ml calmag to 5L water. Watered each with 250ml and had small run off. I will continue to feed/water with small run offs to help prevent salt build ups. Video update.

Week 7/4 - 13/4 Let the fun begin!

That long stretch you see with sativas, probably will stretch for 4 weeks like the Chocwah did. Kiyomi is already setting bud sites - this choc doesn't even have hairs yet.

last week was very good, the plants grow a lot and all the colas are blooming as much as the main, this week ill apply neem oil again to prevent plagues, and experiment with the SCroG that last week didnt do.

Well I have 6 little seedlings that sprouted looking happy and healthy.Going to give just plain water once the pots dry up a bit more.Ill add Gaia green 4,4,4 top dressing with a shot of recharge in a few days after these seedlings are stronger.Se7000 set at 30 percent power and is raised to the ceiling.I prefer to do this over lowering the lights and intensity and not being able to walk around and work in the ⛺️.Day 4 added a 1 inch layer of farm farm ocean forest and I’ll water plain ph tap water when the pots are dry.Also placed some pins and anchors to tie down branches for when the girls are ready for training :)

Days 33-35 Both ladies have been transplanted and moved into the Veg tent! If you look in the video you can see the setup. Both are in 10.5"x10.5" square nursery pots approx 3Gal each. Both were put into happy frog soil using azos and recharge during transplant. I have them under an optic 8+ with a cob as supplemental lighting Day 37: A light defoliation day today, especially for #1. I removed all the mature fan leaves that were blocking any bud sites or nodes at all. Essentially leaving the top 2 mature leaves in tact. I honestly did not want to do this! It was heart wrenching to mutilate such a beautiful naturally growing plant 🤷‍♂️ practicality wins in the end tho. I removed the 2 oldest lowest fan leaves from #2 as well. More for sanitation reasons. They werent8blocking anything but the uh were dragging in the dirt and starting to fade anyhow. I actually kept 1 leaf. My 1st time ever doing this. The leaf is so neat, overlapping itself. *transplant update day 37* In my very green opinion they look to be struggling a bit with the transplant. I like to wet my medium prior to placing the rootball in, sometimes it's great and the roots chase it. Sometimes they get a little water logged and it takes a week b4 watering. I'm thinking it's the latter in this scenario. Day 38; #1's top fan leaves are rolling in again. I figured it was heat but the surface area doesn't get above 78° which from what I've read is fine. Maybe it's a strain issue? Looks very imdica, ma uh be is accustomed to a cooler climate? Day 39: I lowered #1 about a foot further from the light. She is still all curled up tho. It isn't heat. I watered them at transplant per my usual routine. 2 other plants stranded extremely bad and these 2 are acting goofy. I probably over did it that day Day 42 and 43 In day 42 CMOG #1 needed some water. It's her 1st drink since transplant. #2 on the other hand is drinking a bit less. I also took 2 upper fan leaves off #1(I hate doing it, but gotta promote those bud sites!! Day 43nothing really to report. I videotaped myself plucking a couple lower fan leaves. I'm raising the fan a bit more above #2 to keep wind stress down. Day 44: 🚨⛈️Emergency!!⛈️🚨 Power is out! My light cycle is as follows: on at 6pm off at 12pm. Its 2:45am right now and the power has gone out. Which was wierd because it went out b4 the storm hit! It was fricken midday when the outtage happen!! My poor Chocolate Mint OG 😖 keeping humididty down is gonna be hard and my grow is very far from and natural light source even if they were on the same cycle as nature 🤷‍♂️🤦‍♂️ if ur reading this say a quick prayer! So all my stuff arrived this week. Will be using fox farm ocean floor soil for this grow. I have blue dream going for this grow. My seeds are germinating and I don’t have pics of them from the paper towel and from when I first put them beneath to soil in the dixi cups. The soil I used was miracle grow bloom potting soil for my initial planting (now I know was probably not the best choice) but I actually noticed some great results to start with the grow. I’ll keep updating as I go and hope to get some great feed back and comments while I go along. Happy growing everyone.

Week 5 already 😁 but bad luck this week, the whole week we had rain on my island and very cloudy weather, which is obviously bad for the plant 😢🌱 hopefully the weather change soon as its already summer and it never rains in june here so it really screwed a week of flowering, specially the week 4-5-6 as the plant gets fatter. The smell is amazing, this strain is incredible, cant wait to try some, im thinking about using this plant in an extraction 😁

Currently running 2 x P450 Platinum LEDs. Most likely overkill but will be putting a 3rd in next week to get full coverage. Lights currently on half power until flip. Autopots are a dream.

Another good week come and gone. A couple of the girls needed nutrients so I add some general hydroponics blend into those that needed them. Didn't seem to make much difference yet. But they are getting into late flower. She's still holding on. Losing all her fan leaves, starting to lose sugar leaves. Not looking good. She needed more nutrients and gave them but didn't seem to help much.
