Eternity Grow Cup - Week 11 VEG Report This is a pivotal week in our Eternity Grow Cup journey as we wrap up VEG and prepare to transition into FLOWER. Our goal has been to ensure that the plants are thriving and optimized for the next phase. This report will detail everything that took place during this crucial week. Mass Defoliation & Structural Training We began the week with an extensive defoliation session. Every leaf with a stem was removed to clear space for optimal light penetration and airflow. This process was done mostly by hand, clicking them off in the opposite direction of growth, while some stubborn ones were snipped with scissors. By the end, it felt like we had taken out nearly half a kilo of leaves! The room now looks clean, structured, and ready to fill out the ScroggNet. To further enhance the plant structure, branches were attached to the pots, allowing for better horizontal growth. This technique helps maximize canopy exposure and prepares the plants for even light distribution once flowering begins. Defoliation before flowering is a key step as it reduces overcrowding, improves airflow, and sets the plants up for efficient energy use in the next phase. Light Schedule & Adjustments This week, we introduced a subtle but effective light adjustment. While still maintaining an 18-hour light cycle, we initiated a 15-minute delay with the whites, allowing the reds to start first. This gradual shift signals the plants that a change is coming. Similarly, at the end of the light cycle, the whites turn off 15 minutes earlier, leaving the reds on for an extended period. This strategy mimics natural sunrise and sunset, helping the plants transition more smoothly into flowering. Additionally, at the end of the week, we will be implementing 48 hours of darkness before the official flip to flower. This method has worked exceptionally well in past grows, helping plants recognize the transition and encouraging a strong start to flowering. However, it's important to emphasize that this is a personal technique and not a universal rule. Every grower should experiment with different methods to find what works best for their specific environment. Environmental Conditions & Challenges Currently, our temperature is at 27°C with 60% humidity, resulting in a VPD of 1.50. While slightly higher than the ideal for VEG, our CO2 levels are over 1000 ppm, and the light intensity is at 570 PPFD, making it a manageable balance. The solution pH is 5.79 (essentially 5.8), EC is 1.38, and water temperature is 17.7°C. One challenge we are facing is maintaining optimal reservoir temperatures. Currently, it's a bit low at 17.7°C, and we are exploring solutions to raise it slightly. However, the medium temperature sits at 22.2°C, which is a good range. The humidifier is still in use, though it struggles to increase humidity further, so we are working with what we have to keep the VPD in check. ICL-300s Integration The ICL-300 lights are now fully active. Unlike the last grow, where we introduced them later, this time they are on from the start of flowering prep. This adjustment is an experiment to see if the plants respond better to an early introduction. Learning is at the core of this journey, and each grow offers new insights. Whether this proves to be the optimal strategy or not, it will be a valuable lesson for future grows. So this week the plants streched like crazy, the NL started to flower too and has actually become taller then the other 2 plants, even though its technically 2 weeks behind. the strange thing is its way more spacious then the packed Diesel.... it'll be fun seeing how they match up in the end! My new fan and dehumidifier solved the RH issue I had and I crushed it down to under 50% now! Things are looking like they're on the right track.....fingers crossed! I wonder if there is anything else I can add , nutrient wise... i know I shouldn't overdo it but I'll play around a bit and see. Got rid of most bigger and medium fan leaves that i felt were blocking the bud-sites from getting light...again, not sure about if I'm going about this the right way, seems counter-intuitive to get rid of so much green but hey ...it helps greatly with lowering humidity and keeps the bottom of the girls nice and ventilated. I actually took off a bit more because it keeps growing shut. Update: got some big bud and overdrive from my local grow shop... I'll give it a try...

Got the SCROG set up from netting we had around from a batting cage setup. The holes were a little small so we did some cutting and got everything working nicely.

This week I only watered the plants as needed due to planting them in the Fox Farm Ocean Forest soil. From what I've been told and read I don't believe I "need" to feed them for at least 3-4 weeks but I will watch them closely. Some explosive growth this week! I'm super excited to see 2 of them take off. The third is quite a fighter! I won't give up on her if she won't quit! I'm already having to rethink how I will dry the first 2 plants as the third one will be at least a week, if not 2, behind... I think! I'd love to hear from those who have had an autoflower go through a hard first 3 weeks of sprouting! Fattening up on the buds now and pistils starting to mature. She is flooding in trichomes 😍

Quite a week!! I did a light defoliation on day 30... I just did a heavy defoliation again on day 36.... I hope they handle this well!! I watered them on day 31 & 33... I I fed them a half dose of all 3 nutrients on day 35... They are starting to stink!! The Cloudline T6 works great!! I also LST'ed them on day 30... they seem to be opening up pretty good... even though I was really late applying the LST.... still learning!! Alana is 16" tall and Anna is 20" tall... Alana grew 6" this week!!! Incredible! I've been battling some humidity lately... it's been in the low 60's for the most part... that's part of the reason I so heavily defoliated today! Otherwise, this grow is going really well!! You'll notice I moved them into the flowering 4X4 tent... I needed to make room in the veg tent.... I germinated 2 Seedsman Strawberry Cheesecake Auto seeds and I'll start their diary tomorrow! Cheers!!

Ran in to a few problems/issues

Heaps of growth this week loving the feed,I’m gonna veg her for atleast another week or 2 to get her bigger.

Giving bio bloom nutes every water now till day 50 she's really coming along and would of been happy if plant looked like this in the end but we still have a couple weeks but she's frosty and a bit stinky and so nice to look at I won't count my eggs yet but I've impressed myself nów just this final phase and hopefully some nice nugs thanks Mark for the kind words and will def take onboard your advice 🍀🍀💯

On day 1 week 4 flower the girls are bulking up smelling great and some pistils are turning orange. The trichomes are still mostly clear with some milky trichomes starting. On day 3 one of my blumats had a runaway I believe from fertilizer sediment all I can do this late in the game is to lower the flow rate and hope that will solve the problem. It is strange that this is the same blumat that flooded when I went on vacation earlier on in the grow. I will inspect the blumat closer when I finish the grow. I tightened the carrot down 1.5 carrots. Except for the minor flood the girls are doing very well, even though they are too close to my grow lights :). On day 6 almost all the buds are starting to have a second growth spurt with some small white pistils showing, the trichome concentration is visibly growing and I expect to harvest the girls between week 8 and 9 of flower.

5/28/24 oh damn baby, this cultivar is gonna be colorful 6/2 plant is still throwing out pistils but also chunking up quite nicely. I tried to create just mainly top colas. In description she should have a 3-5 nodal colas with disconnected nugs underneath that. But I only ended up with 3 node colas give or take but with maybe 2 more weeks if veg would've given me larger branches and bigger cola structure and can always cut the larfy.

She looks beautiful, happy, and strong, the purple buds make you fall in love with this automatic kush by Dutch passion, she's being grown 100% organically with Biotabs organics. Can't feel any aromas yet, we'll see how she performs the rest of the way with her sister. ✌️🌱💚

This week I did LST (low stress testing) on ​​the plants, pulling the branches downwards using bud clips. Some petals on the leaves of one of the plants curled slightly upwards. I'm on alert; I believe it's due to the light being too close. I raised their lamp to about 400 ppfd (light pressure per square inch).

- i'm back already! i decited to harvest today on day 93, there was about 5-10% amber so i din't want to wait any longer! - all pics are from right before/during/after harvest - the 2 lowest branches are trimmed up and drying in a brown paper bag, the rest is drying in my carboard box - i will be back with a harvest report and smoke report in about 10 days when everything is nice and dry. - added 3 videos at the end so check em out

She's starting to show some nice purple colors, even though it's not getting very cold at night. She's showing many nice buds and it appears that while they may not be the biggest buds I have grown, they will be quite firm. So far, so good! Let's see what happens!
