We are going to continue on with tying and tucking and spreading. I cannot wait to see what suprises this strain has, as I get the feeling her true colors will be wild. This week I also show the HydroHalo system I have installed to better assist with watering these girls under the net. There is a 5 gallon bucket with lid as resivior, tubing, T fittings x2, valves x2, a small submersible water pump, air pump with hose and air stone in the resivior to keep it aerated.

When I began the contest I had only grown Magic Melon once before (last winter), it grew in an 18 litre pot, became around 4 feet tall, and completely filled a 3'x3' tent. A friend of mine successfully grew a seed I gave them this summer in a container about 4 litres and the plant was considerably smaller. The fact that it can be successfully grown in less than 250mL is astonishing, I have buds from the one grown last winter that are bigger than the can I grew this one in. Harvested 91 days from sprout.

Hi again. 3rd times a charm 😀 06-27-26. Put the little baby (not deep enough) into a cup of happy frog soil. Sprayed with water and then sprayed a sandwich baggie with water and covered the cup. She came through today with seed stuck just a bit but cracked apart. I took it off the rest of the way. I’ll be using 2 soils. Happy frog was the for seed starting because it’s not hot enough to burn babies. On transplanting I’ll be using Coast of Maine for the first time. I’ve included some information down below for you. Gary Sherbet is built around a single concept: stacking Sherbet-driven genetics across multiple layers to deepen terpene expression while maintaining the strength and structure of Gary Payton. The base starts with Gary Payton (Cookies Seed Bank) crossed into Sunset Sherbet, already softening its profile and bringing in a more rounded, creamy character. This foundation was then further developed by introducing Sherbanger (Sunset Sherbet × Headbanger) from Boston Roots Seed Co, reinforcing the same terpene direction while adding extra depth and a subtle fuel edge. For this project, we worked each line from seed, running large in-house selections across multiple plants to identify the phenotypes that best matched our criteria in terms of vigor, structure, and terpene expression. The final cross was made using only the plants selected through this process, ensuring a consistent and well-defined direction. What comes out of this is a clear Sherbet-dominant stack, where the same terpene backbone runs through multiple generations. The terpene profile is deep, layered, and complex, built around creamy dessert notes, sweet citrus, and a sharper gassy finish that develops over time rather than hitting all at once. Structurally, the line keeps the influence of Gary Payton: strong growth, solid branching, and reliable flower production, with dense, well-formed buds. At the same time, the Sherbet side enhances resin production and pushes the aromatic depth further. Gary Sherbet is less about combining unrelated traits and more about reinforcing a single genetic direction, layering Sherbet influence over a Gary Payton base to create a line with serious output, strong structure, and a terpene profile with real depth.

#seedsmanhalloweengrowoff and #SeedsmanSeeds 📆 Week 15, 19-25 February 2025 19-25 Feb - Observed and let the plant grow. 📑 I wonder just how big Black Sugar is going to get. Buds are looking impressively big and thick. Looking forward to seeing to this one to the end. She has two more weeks to go. - 19 Feb nutrient solution changed - 19 Feb feeding schedule updated - Using reverse osmosis water with EC/TDS at 0 - Adjusting PH to 6.2 daily using GH up/down - Nutrient solution EC 2.2 at 57 degrees F - Light power at 75%, DLI 40 canopy coverage at 12hrs - Using PYPABL, Air Pump, 400GPH That is it for this week. Thanks for the look, read and stopping by.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Day 62 – Grow Day 8 – Flowering Phase: At the beginning of the second flowering week, the stretch phase is gradually slowing down. During yesterday’s watering with the compost tea, I forgot to adjust the pH value of the liquid. I only noticed this after about half of the pot had already been watered. However, today the plants show no visible reaction to any potential pH imbalance in the substrate. At the end of this week, one final but thorough defoliation is planned. After that, the grow should run almost on autopilot toward the finish.

This week it was time to transplant the plant into a 50L pot. On Sunday, I prepared the soil while listening to Peter Tosh and then transplanted the little one. It didn't even feel the effects of the transplant and is now looking beautiful in the sun. I plan to mainline this plant, so I'll do the apical pruning later this week to make the process as quick as possible.
