Allright... starting today (20-12-2021) as day 1. 9 ladies in a whole new setup (see germination week). All looking great, curious about the performance of this setup and the lights in particular. Let's have some fun. 21-12-2021: First 12 hours of light was on the ladies @600Watt. Measured some PAR values to calculate current DLI. Average DLI: 61.7 mol/m2d, Peak DLI: 84.9 mol/m2d, PAR: Average: 1404, Peak: 1989 So it could be a little less😆 Will raise CO2 level next week when first nodes are there. I guess I start with 1000 ppm and raise it with 100 every week. 23-12-2021: Great... all still alive.. Put power down on the lights a bit because a DLI of 50 is a bit on the high side for seedlings I believe. Noticed a huge drop of PH so added some fresh water and will reevaluate tonight. My guess is that the buckets are finally full with water and so the older water is flushing through now. If I am right I should not see a PH drop tonight. If I am not right I will raise the irrigation frequency. 26-12-2021: The PH problem is solved... my PH- bottle seal was leaking😡. 7 days old now.... I believe they look fine. Raised the power of the lights again to see how temperature will hold. Total power now is 950W (just for a few hours to monitor the temperature).

Still feeding at full strength with 20% run off. I've defoliated the main fan leaves. Ill keep them rootbound untill I'm ready to re pot and switch to flower.

Was supposed to update my diaries yesterday but literally forgot lol #edibles but she’s transitioning nicely (5days) and stretching as she goes! Shes truly loving life under the tsw2000 and the 2 x ts1000’s can’t wait to see what the next week brings!

Aug 2: Mimosa Shot is hitting her stride now. She didn’t like the cooler temperatures as much as Sunday Punch EV, for example, but she’s loving this hot start to August. Aug 3: done with force flowering and will now just leave her in the yard. So, back up to 15.5 h of daylight here now. Still using far red light at dusk. Aug 6: Mimosa Shot has stretched again, likely mostly due to 3 days of hot weather.

Why hand trim? Because machines can never see what the eyes feel — the perfect curl of a sugar leaf, the trichome sparkle worth saving. Hand trimming keeps the resin glands intact, preserving aroma, texture, and bag appeal. It’s slower, but sacred — the final love letter between grower and flower. The trim collected beneath the bin was later pressed gently into hash bars using a hot-water bottle method — pure pressure and warmth, no solvent. The science: The heat softens trichome heads (resin glands), allowing them to fuse together under pressure — forming a natural, terpene-rich concentrate. ⸻ 🌬️ The Curing — Glass Jars vs Grove Bags After trimming, we divided our treasures: • Pheno #1 (146g) cured in Grove Bags – a modern, low-maintenance solution that self-regulates humidity (~62%), keeping buds stable and fresh without constant burping. • Pheno #2 (159g) cured in Glass Jars – the traditional, hands-on approach. We burped the jars daily during the first two weeks, allowing gas exchange and flavor maturation. Cut the plants down on the 24th of April, drying room levels are 72°F and around 60%RH, I'm currently on Day #14 of drying and the buds don't feel fully dry yet, the main tops feel crunchy and dry but the lower smaller buds are still quite moist and smell like chlorophyll, I think I may harvest the main tops so I don't overdry and leave the rest in the tent for another few days, either that or put the rest of the buds in a brown paper bag to finish drying. Finished dry trimming the plant ended up with 200 grams dry weight not including trim there's another 2 ounces of trim which if you want to include that would bring the total weight from this 250W LED to 256 grams. I'm super happy with the result of this especially for my first grow and from one autoflower, it can only get better from here on out. FYI Not sure why I can't edit the lights I used but the bloomgro 600W LED is PULLING AN ACTUAL 250W FROM THE WALL so the gram/watt should be .8g/W

Rainbow melon was doing so well. Only thing I can think of is the low stress training has made it herm going to give it another day or so just to make sure have never had a herb before, but I’ve never seen Nanners on my plants either and they’re definitely on here will be popping another one tonight. It happens all you can do is start over and hope for the best. ☠️😥😓

This week went good. They are on day 16 as of this post, pics were taken on day 15. They filled out the net about 85%, some plants branched out more then other or were topped more so that is one thing my partner could work on. Cover crop didn't do too well for him as he let the medium dry out a little too much these last few days, and the middle section has yellowed up a bit due to being a little more hungry then the outside (mainly in the Mando). We will see how they finish the stretch and then we get to stacking and packing weight!

Week 29 – Flowering Week 7 This week clearly marks the final phase of the Pineapple Upside Down flowering cycle. There are no major changes to report, as the plant is now approaching the end of its life cycle. This strain is listed for approximately 45 days of flowering, which corresponds to around six weeks. However, due to earlier light stress, the cycle extended slightly beyond its theoretical duration. At this stage, feeding has been completely stopped. The plant is now running on Flawless only, dosed at 2 ml per liter, with the pH maintained between 5.8 and 5.9. The objective is to flush properly and allow the plant to finish cleanly. Trichomes are being closely monitored using a loupe. They currently appear mostly cloudy, with a small percentage beginning to turn amber. This indicates that the plant is well within its optimal harvest window. Light intensity has not been increased and will likely be reduced slightly in the coming days. The goal is to avoid trichome degradation, limit heat stress, and allow the plant to finish maturing gently. We are now in the final stretch of this grow. Harvest is expected within 5 to 10 days, depending on trichome evolution. This run was not an easy one, but the focus now is to guide the plant calmly toward harvest and close the cycle properly.
