This week has been a mixed bag for my two plants. #1 is really taking off now, showing strong growth and picking up speed!🌱 It’s looking healthy and vigorous, which is great to see. Towards the end of the week, I also noticed the first signs of flowering—exciting! Unfortunately, #2 is still struggling.😩 It has barely grown and remains very small compared to #1. If it doesn’t start making progress soon, I might consider replacing it with another plant. I’ll give it a little more time, but let’s see how things develop in the next week. Fingers crossed!🤞

Plans this week: new bluelab guardian connect coming (ph/ec/temp monitor for the reservoir tank) I think I’ll finally mount things neatly on the wall. More pruning the lower canopy; and some low stress training maybe. I hope the flowers keep maturing and start really gaining some girth this week. I’m excited and hopeful but a bit scared of the pk booster and overall nutrient level/EC increase - I’ll keep watch for nutrient lockout etc. Other: Utility sink/drain/water line install I hope. This grow is taking up all my “project time” - Hopefully I can finally spend some time on my arcade cabinet project starting this week. The plants didn’t get light for 37 hours the other day (6/23?) . I had removed the lights to build the frame. I thought I had everything ready for a quick swap. And then I got sick; daughter’s car broke down; my plan for the light frame wouldn’t work; I ran out of angle aluminum; and did I mention I got sick. Anyway they missed only one 12 hour light period plus 1 extra hour (plus their normal dark periods before and after- so that’s how I calculate 37 hours) They actually seemed to mature and redden a bit faster with the extra darkness. Gotta think positive. Upgraded the tent! (6/24/19) It’s now a hydropolis 3x3 “plus size” (extra few inches bigger all around and 8 inches taller than my old vivosun) - much nicer. Wow what a tough job. Very tight space in my room. This is way too late to be moving plants to a new tent - but sliding the old removable tent bottom with all four plants and scrog all at once over to the new tent wasn’t as bad as I feared. Setting up the whole tent again and moving everything was a pain in the ass though. I did a little pruning of the back side of the plants which I hadn’t gotten to in a while - some dead leaves under the scrog mostly. I wonder if all this trim (from recent days too) is gonna yield any amount of even sorta decent bubble hash. I’ll freeze it and try. I hope they like their new home. I did a lot of the swap and setup with the lights totally off in my basement and using only a green headlamp. Argh. I partially failed in my effort to make a complete aluminum frame. I didn’t include the 4 solstix in the frame. But I did make a frame for the two HLG 135s - I re-hung the solstix individually and with their lame individual drivers that are underpowered (I’ll get to the the rewiring and driver replacement one of these days)- I added the far red puck, and I finally added the new HLG QB36 UVA (I’ll try it for the first time tomorrow - with sunglasses on!) - update: tried it. Seems pretty sweet - wish I had some directions or some idea if I should only be using only one stick like I am or the entire 4 that I think they sent me in error. I’ve got a reasonable amount of space between my lights and top of canopy now (15+ inches) - if the damn stretch is finally done I might be ok. I really shoulda flipped sooner like everyone warned me. Live and learn. The utility sink/drain line/water line is still not installed - so I’m still carrying water up and down stairs which sucks. I’ll use pk13/14 this week after this rez tank empties and I give it a good cleaning in a day or so. I’ll also continue to use mammoth p and all the other nutes. - ok tank cleaned and making a new soup for feeding later today (pk 13/14 started on 6/25/19 11:30pm - I plan to use it for 7 days??) I changed the drain/waste bucket to a small bin - and placed it inside the tent — it works well with the condensate pump- so tomorrow I’ll drill holes in it, install grommets and run the drain lines to it permanently - which will be much better than the 5 gallon bucket sitting outside the tent in my small space - plus the gravity drain lines were a pain coming out of the tent and I had to weigh them down to keep their height below 2.5” - now it’ll be just one pumped line. - ok done. I drilled a bit too fast and cracked two of the holes. Siliconed it for now- I’ll replace the little bucket this week or next - it’s fine for now. (6/25/19) So much better! - now no more gallons of water weighing down the drain lines and no more drain lines coming out of the tent - except for the single pumped line that goes out the standard tent hole. And so much neater in the tent etc. Woot!

All is well with the skull grow. Few more weeks to go.

48 hrs. of dark are up and its time to chop. pots have dried from the last flush. These did not stretch as much as I would have liked I will have to adjust my light better next time and there was a lot of lower development near the media, hence not enough air flow. when I flushed the pots the water level went up to the lower growth on the Think different and the bottom was wet and rotted the bottom half. I did a mild lollypop on them I'm early flower it just was not enough, LESSON LEARNED. Chopped on 2/8/20 whole plant drying low and slow 54% RH 68F for 10-14 days then will trim and jar. 981 grams wet with the lumber. lets see how they dry. I got a rosin press coming today I will squeeze all the trim and larffy buds into dabs yummy! All in all I recommend these genetics I will try the think different again I'm sure I just got a recessive dwarf gene. I have seen other grows of this same strain same breeder that are huge and stacked. thanks again to Fast Buds 420 and Green Buzz Nutrients for suppling the goods for the grow. Zdravim všechny po dalším týdnu✋ dneškem 18.5. startuju 2. týden květu. Major vypadá velmi spokojeně, pomalinku se začíná roztahovat po celým stanu i se docela vytáhl, zatím na něj kromě překládání listů nešahám a vypadá, že mu to tak vyhovuje😉 Dělá mi radost, začal hezky bumbat. 5L zálivku si říká každý 2 dny. A+B jsem zvýšil na 2ml/L Vyřadil jsem Voodoo, Tarantulu jsem ještě nechal, ale ta už půjde taky koncem tohodle týdne pryč. Teplota pořád stejná 24-25°C. Vlhkost se motám kolem 55-60%. Ph. si plave 5.7😎 Všechny fota jsou z 18.5. Ať se vám daří a za týden zdar👋

Week 8, Day 56, Day 12 of Flower. Well the girl is doing nicely again. All in all things are going well. I did notice a few fan leaves with a slight purpling so I will try adding a little more CaliMagic on the next feed. She is currently receiving 200ppm of CaliMagic. The last feeding was 660ppm total nutes, but 950ppm 1.9EC in the run-off so I gave her some Phed water to help clear some of the nutes building up in the media on the next feed which went down to 650ppm 1.3EC in the run-off. Thinking about doing a flush with some Florakleen, or should I wait until flush time at week 7 and 8 of flower when Trichomes are hopefully milky. All comments and suggestions welcome.

I completely changed the water and nutrients this week and added some Canna PK13/14. I have also added another MARS Hydro TW2000 light to the tent to try and get more light to the lower buds. Gave both plants a trim also for the same reason. I was concerned they were still not ready to harvest, but expert advice from FastBuds420 told me they probably needed a further 4 weeks. And I will give them an update and the information they requested. I think it's probably because I had the lights turned down to 25% during the veg stage and only at 50% for the early flowering stage; it was not till recently, about 3 weeks, I think the lights got turned up to 100%.

Alright guys so here's to last week My first time doing sweet seeds And I must say it was really awesome Yo, I ran my first Cream Mandarine XL from sweet seed and at the very beginning thought she was going to die, she was sad and having it rough but with lots of caring she came back to life and even better, this is also one of the longest autos and the tallest I've had with many colas, Im still learning so I should probably train them better in the long run once I get to run another one, well if you look into my profile at my grow diary I'm running gorilla XL right now and I'm training her little by little, more precisely I'm making sure she's getting plenty of light so we don't waste any single spot of energy once she's got to bloom!! [ Information ] For all grow information, including strain and room details, please see the first week of veg. [ Updates ] (Flower) Day 1 - Light intensity increased to 65%. C02 increased to 1300ppm average. Day temp/humidity 85/70 (1-1.2VPD), night temp/humidity 75/65 (.8-1VPD). Fed a diluted compost tea mixture before lights on. Base water was R/O and tap water mixed lightly with silica and Tribus microbes. Tea was a mixture of Fish Hydrolysate, Bat Guano, Molasses, Fulvic/Humic, Kelp, and Earthworm Castings. 8 gallons of tea were added to 72 gallons of water mixture for an 80gal batch total. The batch was mixed for a half hour before feeding to the room. I did not PH or PPM test the mixture, organic material is hard to get an accurate PPM reading so the numbers are useless to me. I will be working to bring the lights to 100% power over this first week of flower. Day 4 - Light intensity increased daily, currently at 90%. Will raise to full power tomorrow. C02 increased to 1800ppm average. Temp and humidity for day and night are still the same. Lights were raised slightly to maintain 12 inches from canopy height, and a few growth nodes that were above the canopy got topped. Watered today with an 80gal (1.25gal p/pot) mixture, 10% tap 90% r/o water. 6.8 PH, 2.2ec. Foliar sprayed yesterday before lights off with a neem mixture for weekly IPM. Canopies are stretching relatively evenly, though I will be adding in support nets within a few days to help maintain the even spread. I've run this strain before so I'm fairly confident that I know what to expect during these few stretch weeks. Day 7 - Lights have been at 100% since day 5. C02 still 1800-2000ppm on average. Plants are stretching quickly into the lights, I have yet to readjust their height. The best growth usually happens when I do nothing, and I've done almost nothing the past couple days besides enjoy the unusually warm spring weather my area is currently experiencing. Watered today, 100gal (1.5gal p/pot) mixture, <1ec. Mainly an organic feeding for microbe health, also wanted a bit more runoff than normal due to the high ec feeding previously.

Esta semana LACTO FERMENTOS DE FRUTAS Y MINERALES... Esta práctica la realicé el 02 de Julio de 2020, preparé 10 litros, en dos fórmulas distintas, en una de ellas incidí en el nitrógeno (crecimiento vegetativo), en la otra en el fósforo y el potasio (Floración), esto lo hice, seleccionando para cada fórmula, frutas o componentes orgánicos con mayor concentración de los macronutrientes que quería para cada preparado, aún así, ambas fórmulas poseen todas las propiedades (Vitaminas, enzimas, minerales, nutrientes...) que se encuentran en cada una de las frutas que usé. Llevo aplicando estos preparados desde entonces, dan un resultado excelente en riegos, pero sobre todo en aplicaciones foliares, en realidad se comporta como un Bio estimulante de cultivos. Aunque en estas fórmulas usé otros ingredientes, como guanos, sangre seca, harina de pescado y minerales variados, cuando las repita usaré exclusivamente frutas, porque ya hago lacto fermentos especializados de guanos, harinas o minerales. De esta manera también favorezco la fermentación. Los lacto fermentos anaeróbicos, son los preparados más asequibles y fáciles de realizar, se basan en el poder que tienen el ácido láctico y las Bacterias ácido lácticas contenidas en el suero de leche, para disolver los nutrientes o el quelato de los minerales, son particularmente eficientes en la disolución del fósforo. INGREDIENTES: Agua pura 1000ml Suero de leche 1000ml (se puede usar más cantidad, he incluso sustituir el agua por suero.) Melaza: 125g Levadura fresca: 12g. FRUTAS Y HORTALIZAS (hasta el 20% del volumen de líquido) Paraguayo, Aguacate, Ajos, Albaricoque, Kiwi, Melocotón, Melón, Papaya, Piña, Plátano, Mango, Mandarina, Zanahoria, Calabaza, Cebolla, Naranja, Manzana. - Destacar el kiwi, la piña y la papaya por su contenido en enzimas (actinidina, papaina, bromelia), estas enzimas tienen el poder de romper la proteína y convertirla en aminoácidos, yo preparo una fórmula específica para hacer esta conversión mediante Hidrólisis Enzimática, de proteínas, otro día hablaré de esa técnica, una de las que más esfuerzo me ha costado, pero hoy, esos aminoácidos son fundamentales en mis cultivos. - Destacar también, el plátano y el aguacate por su alto contenido en Potasio. - La calabaza y la zanahoria aportan varios tipos de vitaminas ( C, E, B6, B3, B2, B1, A (betacaroteno), B9 y ácido fólico) - Y en todas las frutas hay diversas cantidades de otros macro y micro nutrientes (Ca, Mg, P, Fe, etc.) Además, el alto contenido en todas las frutas de azúcares naturales, hicieron que la fermentación del preparado fuera muy violenta y se extendió por más de 30 días. PROCEDIMIENTO: Se disuelve la melaza en el suero de leche. Trituro las frutas y hortalizas, para una mejor disolución. Añado levadura fresca a la mezcla se suero y melaza, caliento a 30° y espero media hora. Añado las frutas trituradas al barril, lo mezclo con el suero, añado agua hasta completar. Cierro el barril herméticamente con válvula de gases. Espero al menos 30 días antes de usarlo. Yo lo uso, del 1 al 3%, en riegos y aplicaciones foliares en la etapa de crecimiento vegetativo. We had storms. Plants nearly survived. I gave them support. Now they seem fine but the leaves weight is to big for the stem.🙃 Lots of attitude for a two week old.

~MERINGUE by DUTCH PASSION~ Well friends, here we go on another 'canna-venture' together! The grow room has had a complete remodel and some upgrades done to it including brand spanking new 4x8 and 4x4 tents and a Trolmaster Hydro X controller along with a new Control Panel. This strain by Dutch Passion is one of my all time favorite strains that I've cultivated previously with phenomenal results so I'm looking forward to seeing what this girl has to offer when she's grown to her full potential! I'm going to things a bit different this time around. I have a brand spanking new AC Infinity 4x4 tent and was just given one of HLG's newest lights for 2022, The Blackbird! I've got this 600w monster hooked up to my Trolmaster Hydro X Controller so I've got full control over timing, dimming and Sunrise/Sunset. This beauty is going to annihilate the 4x4 for sure! 😎👍 I'm going to grow her all by herself and veg her for around 70-90 days after witch I'll install a trellis net in the tent and spread her out. Meringue stays fairly compact and within 3-4 weeks there is already a lot of resin on the flowers. After 6 weeks of flowering the buds start to show orange pistils, they seem to ripen quite fast. Luckily all plants show amazing resin production, making them very appealing to the eye. The flowering time is about 8 weeks. In combination with the recommended veg phase, it will take around 12-14 weeks from cannabis seed to harvest. The yield of the Meringue Meringue produces XL harvests of top-notch quality cannabis; between 400 and 500 grams per m2 is possible. The buds are really frosty and dense. Our expert advice: Meringue is the perfect strain for professional home growers or licensed producers looking for a variety with the highest possible resin levels. Buds are literally coated in layers of resin. We would recommend to look out for the plants which show the most hybrid leaf and plant structure. These are generally the biggest and best yielding phenotypes. Consider using a UV light during the last few weeks of flowering and notice how the trichome production goes into overdrive. If you’re looking for something truly unique with an amazing bag appeal then please look no further, Meringue is the strain you need! ~More info about Meringue Meringue isn’t the most straightforward plant to grow so she can be a bit challenging to understand. The thing that stands out the most is the slightly unusual growth pattern, therefore more leaf picking is necessary, otherwise the lower buds will not receive enough light. Because of the slightly larger internodal distance, buds don’t have the tendency to become really big, which could make her a bit more interesting for growers with higher humidity levels. There should be enough fresh air around these flowers though, because they become rock-hard. Buds are covered in trichomes, lab results showed all phenotypes were close to and above 20% THC, suited for hardcore smokers. ** Credit to Dutch Passion ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ ~THE SETUP~ ~Initially seed was lightly scuffed, then soaked for 3 hours in 78℉ distilled water after which it was transferred to a moist paper towel laid out in a Jiffy Pellet plastic starter tray with lid. Underneath the tray was placed a Mars Hydro Heat Mat with Controller that was set to 78℉ where it stayed until a tap root emerged. ~Planted into Jiffy Peat Pellet that was hydrated with distilled water warmed to 78℉ with a 7.0 ph. ~Once roots emerged from the Jiffy Pellet she was transferred to a 1qt plastic pot. As she grows I'll be moving her into larger pots along the way up until she's in her 10g fabric pot. ~Grown in a 10g fabric pot filled with Mother Earth 70/30 Coco/Perlite medium and fed Dutch Pro nutrients throughout the entire grow with de-chlorinated water ph'd @ 6.2-6.8. ~19/5 light cycle for vegetation, then 12/12 to flower with supplemental UVA added during the last weeks of flower. Lights are controlled by a Trolmaster Hydro X controller set for a 15min Sunrise/Sunset simulation. ~ Supplemental co2 provided throughout vegetation and flower - monitored and controlled by an AutoPilot APC8200 co2 controller. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Weekly Updates: 12/1- I soaked the seed for 3 hours in 78℉ distilled water after which it was transferred to a moist paper towel laid out in a Jiffy Pellet plastic starter tray with lid. Underneath the tray was placed a Vivosun Heat Mat with Controller that was set to 78℉. After 30 hours she had not popped open yet so I soaked another seed for 3 hours and then into a paper towel and onto the heat mat it went. 12/3- This afternoon I checked and the seed had a root that was about 1/4 to 3/8" so at 5 pm I transferred it into a Jiffy Peat Pellet that was hydrated with distilled water warmed to 78℉ with a 7.0 ph using a tine off of a plastic fork as a 'mini trowel' to make a hole in the pellet and to gently cover the tap root, leaving only the seed head slightly exposed. This method accomplishes most of the initial work the seed has to do by eliminating having to orientate itself, push it's root down and head up. By the next morning she had her cotyledon leaves opened! 12/5- Well this is Day ONE for the Dutch Passion Meringue! I'll keep her in the covered/heated Jiffy tray until I see her roots beginning to emerge from the peat pellet, then I'll transfer her gently into her 2qt plastic starter pot to begin growing. 12/7- Today when I checked her, she had roots just starting to emerge from her pellet, so tomorrow I'll transfer her into her 'starter' pot. 😎💚 Thank you for checking out my passion in life! We're starting to make some progress, leaves are looking good. Gaining some decent height, not too much. I topped the plant at the beginning of the week, and it has taken very well. So let's see how it turns out 😁 I watered twice this week with 1ltr of dechlorinated water PH'd to 6-6.5, containing 1ml of Ecothrive Trace and 1/4 TSP Ecothrive Biosys. Not going to call flower on this one yet, but it looks like she is starting to stretch and switching to flower. She has really strong branches and everything is running smooth. Tried to spread her branches out a little but she fights every bend. Probably just do some defoliation on her and let do her thing.

did some LST to this girl. We were in the middle of a mini drought but we did get 6mm of rain yesterday. So that will help with growth a lot. I also watered them with a whopping 9 gal each day before the rain. So I am expecting some excellent growth over the coming week. Ive been looking for an inexpensive source of granulated humic and fulvic acids if anyone knows of a source in southern Ontario.
