An interesting discovery was made with this plant’s pot, I observed how having a row lesser of drainage drastically effected how I water this lady. Her grow medium swamps up if I maintain a 1lt daily water schedule, which would result in drowning the roots, luckily my grow medium has sponges up when wet, allow the slow irrigation to take place to avoid root rot. Luckily it’s spring time and in Mzansi(South Africa) it is hot enough to push my greenhouse’ temperature higher than the outdoor temperature, to encourage some form of evaporation and humidity, next week I will add pictures of the thermometers, and you can see the drastic difference in temperature.

May 11: plant looks good and the bad colour in the pic is due to wildfire smoke. Seems happy in the final 5 gallon grow bag. Today was overcast and smoky after two beautiful sunny spring days. First smoke of the season arrived at about 7 am this morning. This smoke is likely due to fires in northeast BC about 1000 km (600 miles) from here. Hopefully it won’t be as bad as last year. May 13: air quality is better again. Plant is doing fine. Watered with Monster Maxx during afternoon. May 16: cool and rainy today. There was some sun in the late afternoon. Bang on week 5 for the gummy buns. Really impressed by these girls the structure the rate of growth there looking by far the best of the bunch, I’ve got 1 mutant and the other 5 are looking pretty sweet. Just carrying on with tying the branches down so each bud site gets enough room and light for flowering. All in all looking good and the most forgiving of the bunch at the minute✌️🏼

This week I had to remove my red light (sad because red leds are the most efficient one in terms of pffd per wattage) the reason for that is bleaching of the tips. Scientists found out that cultivars start bleaching if u hit 600 umol/m2/s red light (just red photons and not every strain bleaches). Besides that I did nothing to them. From now on I will try to keep the temps low but with a pretty small day/night temp difference. Now preservation of terps and maturing are my points of interests. Some nice colours are getting through … that was supported by some nitrogen deficiency. This was Not on purpose but better than burning them with nutrients. (Nitrogen is required to produce chlorophyll, which is Green. If u reduce the nitrogen towards the end you can support other pigments to come through.) On day 1 I changed out my reservoir, and added my bloom nutes, adjusted my light schedule to 12/12 and defoliated the plants. I adjusted the reservoirs PH to 6.1 My hope is that by flipping this cultivar earlier than my last run, I will not run out of vertical space ;). On day 2 I adjusted my reservoirs PH down to 6.1. On day 3 the clawing is almost completely gone. I adjusted the reservoirs PH down to 6.1. On day 4 the reservoir's PH is at 6.1. I defoliated the plants removing anything blocking lower growth to increase light and air penetration of my mains. On day 5 the reservoirs PH is 6.1. On day 6 I adjusted the PH of the reservoir up from 6.0 to 6.3. I will let the PH drift between 6.1-6.3. on day 7 the reservoirs PH is 6.2. I lowered the light intensity from 100% to 85% to give the top of my plant canopy an average PPFD of 700-1000. I plan to reduce the intensity as the plants continue to stretch to keep them in the 800-1000 PPFD range. I just got my first quantum par sensor and I'm really loving the new data it gives me to optimize my lighting.

Harvested on Day67, this was a small and fast lady! Her stems were skinnier than most plants Ive grown, although her buds were massive. For how quick and small she is, I was surprised to get 75g dry. I would recommend this strain to anyone. The phenos are a bit random, as well as the size of the plant, but the yields are great and honestly all the phenos are fire.

My girls are growing nicely in spite of humidity and temperature at less than ideal values. I have a pretty big light... MarsHydro II 1600 and it's heating my grow room up to 30C if I'm not careful. I still can't get my humidity up over 30% for any length of time. Today I spend time sealing up the interior of the room so that I could keep humidity in. I'm going to adjust my inline fans too. I currently have 2 inline fans but maybe it's too much. I'll turn one off to see if that makes a difference. I added a cool mist humidifier but I'm starting to think it's too small for the room.

I topped some of the ladies that were getting a little bigger than the rest of the plants hoping it slows down some of the growth so the smaller plants can catch up thanks for reading😏
