Week 2: The adjustment Hello dear growers and groweresses, it’s time for an update on my grow. My plants have completed the second week and have continued to grow. But they also faced some challenges that I will tell you about. The adjustment My plants have adapted to the new conditions in my room this week. I realized that I had my lamps too close to the plants and that they got too much light and heat. This resulted in them not developing as well as I had hoped. I therefore hung my lamps higher and reduced the intensity of the light. I lowered the PPFD (Photosynthetic Photon Flux Density) from 400 to 280, to give the plants a more comfortable environment. The PPFD is a measure of the amount of light that the plants receive per square meter and second. The higher the PPFD, the more light the plants get, but also the more nutrients and water they need. The plants accepted the change very well and recovered quickly. They started to grow stronger again and formed more leaves. They also got a nicer color and look healthier. One plant that suffered a lot was the Frosty Nightmare. She was overwatered and had trouble developing. She was smaller and weaker than the others and had yellow tips on the leaves. I therefore gave her less water and moved her away from the other plants, to give her more space and air. She recovered and grew again. She is still the smallest of all, but she has potential. I also increased the temperature in my room by 1 degree, to give the plants more heat. I set the temperature from 22 to 23 degrees Celsius, which is still in the optimal range for the plants. The plants liked that and showed me that by their growth. I let them vote democratically, by observing the plants and interpreting their reactions. :D The water filter I also want to introduce you to my water filter from Watertrim, which I use for my grow. It is a great product that saves me a lot of time and money and is also better for the environment. The water filter has only two connections: an inlet and an outlet. So it has no waste water, which would otherwise go into the drain. It has different options of the filter, depending on how much water you want to filter and how high the EC value of the tap water is. The EC value is a measure of the electrical conductivity of the water, which depends on the dissolved minerals. The higher the EC value, the more minerals are in the water, which are not always good for the plants. My filter filters at an inlet EC of 1.0 1000 liters, before it needs to be renewed. Since my tap water has an EC of 0.5, I can filter 2000 liters with it, until I have to renew it. That costs about 100 euros and works easily and quickly via the post. The flow is almost 1 to 1 in speed, so no more waiting. I can tap the water directly from the filter and use it for my grow. I use the filter as follows: I tap water at the filter. I pour normal tap water on it, until I have an EC of 0.3. I add fertilizers etc., depending on what the plants need. I check the EC again and adjust it if necessary. I also adjust the pH value, which should be between 6.2 and 6.5, to ensure optimal nutrient uptake. I give the water to my plants. The water filter is really a great product, even if it is not very cheap in the purchase with once of 240 - 390 euros. But it pays off in the long run, as it saves me a lot of work and costs and also improves the quality of my water. u can find it here : https://watertrim.de The outlook I am very satisfied with the result of the second week. My plants have adapted well and recovered from the problems. They have grown further and formed more leaves. They have recovered well and showed a great growth. I am very excited about the next week, where it goes to the repotting and the ladies can try fertilizer for the first time. I will fertilize this run only a little late, even if I use osmosis water this time. The soil from BioBizz is really great and can carry the first weeks well alone. Ciao ragazzi e bentornati da me per una nuova pagina di questo diario!😉 Che dire ragazzi tutte le sorelle sono fantastiche.😍 La numero 1 è il capo famiglia, davvero imponente. La numero 2 ha staccato le altre di 5 cm, ora è lei la più alta con i suoi 155 cm. La numero 3 invece ha i buds già bellissimi. Nel complesso crescono bene e forti con una distanza intermodale marcata che le fanno respirare bene. Ora le fragoline misurano circa 1 cm di diametro e quelle della numero 3 misurano circa 1.5 cm💪 L odore inizia a marcare i suoi aromi, pungenti note di mapo (Citrus × tangelo) si mischiano a leggeri sentori di gasolio.😋 Ho defogliato loro nel giorno 67 e ho allargato tutti le apicale dalla pianta 1 con Lst, i nuts rimangono invariati.👍 Eh niente! OK, im doing an update now becouse my breakup cake is going tranny!!(hermie) I already have noiticed she was not growing as strong .. but u can blame that on anything , especially when growing outdoor.. but this morning i saw that she was g(r)oing 'bananas'!😢 I have put her aside from the rest (in the back of garden) but think gonna have to terminate her asap!..(and i will, right after this post👍) The weed she will give will be filled with seeds and those seeds will be hermies too, so wothless.. and if i dont throw her away quick she can infect the rest. So goodbye breakup cake..😢 who wants to eat a cake when they are breaking up anyway..😒 (just hiding my pain with lame humour 😳) happy growing for all ✊

Empezamos la semana bajando el nivel de nutrientes, los olores creo que están controlados. Crecen y beben mucho. El nivel EC arranco en 1.7 para terminar la semana en 1.4, el PH subió un poco 6.3 creo... tratare de controlarlo. Hoy agregué flashclean 2,5ml x Ll de solución, en 2 días cambiare el agua y agregaré il final parte 2 semanas.

Mañana a primera hora aplico Top Dress y riego profundo Va a empezar la floración! So one thing about this strain that was kind of a bummer was the smells were literally all over the place in a great way. Sour gummies worms from the keef, diesle/gas from the leaves, and lemon hard candy/carrots/dab carts from the buds but when smoked it, the floral taste was so rounded that the other smells never came thru except the purple one that had tight smaller buds, had a lemony taste still. (Remember had to cut early from braking). On the other hand, the way this plant grew had me in a state of personal amazement. I was actully super excited telling my friends that it got TOO BIG for the branches. Buds stacked perfectly on every plant. The topping and recover time went smooth. She shaped nicely right before flower. And back to my negative statement that I had..... the smells were INCREDIBLE!!! I recommend it to everyone soly for the smells.

Transplanted to 7 gal pots....gave the girls a trim. Changed soil to SOHUM with pumice. Still have note burns on the tips of some leaves. Thinking of forgoing nutrients and just go with plain ph balanced tap water. Any thoughts fellow growers? Any advice would be appreciated!

06/05/21 -Riego todas las plantas con 1.8 litros de agua y los nutrientes. -Los cogollos siguen engordando poco a poco, se nota sobre todo en los inferiores, que ahora están llenos de pelos. -Algunas hojas están amarillas pero supongo que será debido a que no les da suficiente luz. Las que están peor son las que defolio, además de 1 o 2 hojas por planta que tapan algunos cogollos. 10/05/21 -Riego las plantas con 2 litros de agua cada una y los nutrientes. -Se nota una pequeña quemadura en los cogollos de arriba de una de las plantas, quizás porque la luz estaba demasiado cerca. Estuve 4 días fuera y no lo pude corregir. -Por lo general las plantas siguen fuertes y sin ningún problema 11/05/21 -No se qué ha pasado pero cuando hoy he abierto el armario tenía uno de los cogollos de CCXLA1 cubierto de moho. Me fijé porque 2 hojas parecían un poco podridas y al tocar el cogollo estaba muy blando. Me puse guantes, corté el cogollo con unas tijeras e inspeccioné la planta buscando otros posibles signos de moho. Parece que no hay más así que dejaré la planta por ahora. La he defoliado más para que tenga más flujo de aire. -No entiendo cómo ha podido pasar esto ya que la humedad relativa del cultivo no supera nunca el 57% aprox y en general se mantiene al 50%. -Ahora toca estar muy pendiente estas últimas semanas para ver si se forma más moho que pueda acabar con la cosecha. Wachsen aber gehen an mir vorbei hahaha muss nicht wässern, muss nichts machen einfach wachsen lassen und vergessen das ist immer das beste ;) Werden heute oder morgen auf 12/12 wegen der Photoperiodischen umgestellt, zeigen erste Vorblüteerscheinungen, zumindest die Autos, daher muss die Purple Mango Kush nachziehen

Great strain, germinated after 24h in a glass water and came out of the cocosproutpad after like one day and a half later, started a bit slow because of overwatering (extreme heatwave here) but managed to recover very well. A nice fast growing plant in vegative stage with lots of big fanleaves and a pretty bushy under area. Transferred to flowering really fast and then had a little bit of stunt in growth, I expected her bigger but this has a lot to do with my growing conditions and overall temperature and air. Buds kick in really nice and start showing frost early and thickening buds around week 4 of 5. She can handle nutrients like a boss. Not one single sign of nutrientburn throughout the entire grow. The final 4 weeks were pretty tough to keep her happy since I had a lack of light, no good airflow and lots of rain. Also bugs and some budrot but I can't blame the plant for that. She fought her way through it and delivered nice buds. Not too compact but it's an outdoor grow. After 10weeks of flowering she looked done for me. I will grow her again next year and do better. Learned a lot on my first Growdiary experience 😊 Will update with smokereport and total weight/outcome after curing.
