Lemon Cake week 18 7/28 - 8/4-10 I am late for my outside ladies diaries updates. Life has been getting the best of me lately. I’ve been packing my daughter’s room and moving her things to her new home. For those that have followed my since my beginning here, Cancer left me with neuropathy and arthritis in my hands. I can no longer do my glass fusing or flame work. To close this chapter of my life, I’ve been inventorying glass, tools, equipment, molds and supplies to sell. The most stressful has been appealing Medicare claims and receiving the second denials on the same claims. They are the last payer of record so good luck getting any reimbursement you are entitled to. My apologies to all of you for being so brief on your diaries and not providing many comments. Photos are from 7/28- 8/9 for both weeks. For my outside ladies, Opium, Auto Opium, Fractal, and Lemon Cake not much changed. They continue to live in sweltering conditions. Temps are in the upper 80-90s with humidity over 105. In addition to the heat, Hurricane Debby started up the coast but was downgraded to a tropical storm by the time it got to us. Expecting our normal thunderstorms, I waited til morning to bring the ladies inside. Overnight, we had wind gusts of 25mph. Yeah, then I brought all gals into the house. The photo gals are strong and with thick stalks were able to withstand the winds. I top dressed all ladies with Bloom Soil for organic fertilizer. Buds are fattening up, trichomes are minimal at this time but some fragrance is starting to be noticed. Thanks for the visits, likes and comments, I appreciate all the plant love💚. Week 7 Flower We've finally started flush 💦 on Day 43. I still run EM1 at 1ml/ltr as it goes a long way once activated/stretched. It's always going to be a benefit to keep any microbes you can in the coco. You can also use Mammoth P throughout flush, but due to its price I just stick to EM1 in flush. There's plenty of other microbes that can be used too. I flush around twice the pots' volume at 6pH. But before flooding the pot I slowly pour water through the centre of the pot, around the stem, in order to take a true reading of the ppm and pH of the run off. If the ppm/ec reads a lot higher than your average feeding throughout bloom, then there's been issues such as a lockout, incorrect pH, over feeding etc. This wasn't the case, as this girls' was at the right level. If the pH is too high or low, I adjust the pH of the rest of the water that'll be flushed to try to fix it. Again, this wasn't the case with this girl as she had a perfect pH 👌👍 Just before all of the water has gone through the pot, I take one last reading from her last bit of run off. The ppm should be down to no more than 100ppm for the first flush (+starting ppm of water if using tap water). After the first flush the ppm value of the run off will quickly go all the way down to 0, or at least below 50ppm (+tap water ppm). I use tap water that is between 150-190ppm, but I'm looking to switch to RO as soon as I can. I still get a very good flush, but I think using RO water will be the next step in getting a more thorough flush as it won't contain even the small amount of nutrients and metals that tap water contains (along with any harmful chemicals). Always remember to bubble or let the water sit for 24-48hrs before feeding to your plants. That goes for all feedings in every stage of growth if using tap water. Because I keep fairly low temps in the Den she's starting to turn a beautiful dark purple. Her buds are still swelling and smelling like a nice gassy OG, with hints of citrus/tropical fruits. I'm really looking forward to taking this girl down, but after at least another week! Thanks for following and happy growing! 🐺

Cactus Candy Berry wächst munter vor sich hin. Nach dem Toppen hat sie innerhalb weniger Tage die Stachelproduktion verdoppelt. Ich mache es mir mit einer Tasse Tee auf dem Balkon gemütlich und dampfe ein paar Blüten von meiner Ernte aus dem Sommer. Schaue nach CBD Blüten auf GD und überlege welche Strains in meinen ersten Indoor Garten kommen. Noch ist das Zelt nicht vollständig. Aber Ende Dezember will ich spätestens starten, es wird ein CBD grow werden.

Shown substantial grow over the last week. Doubled in height. Thinking I should have used a bigger grow bag as it's only in a 2 gal bag but it's already flowering so I won't transplant now. Starting to see a lot more pistil and calyx development. Gave the plant it's first feeding at the beginning of the week with a general plant and vegetable fertilizer. Noticed a richer green in the leaves since being fed.

Week 4 - 01/22 to 01/28 2021 Pictures from Days 25 + 26 TRANSPLANTED! Hopefully the stunted size means the flower timing is delayed as well, I've gone through a runt LSD before so if it flips before 7 inches I'll just pull it and start a different seed, I still have more Purple Lemonade beans so might pop one of those into the 5gal with no transplant and see if I can get a better base. More and more reasons to go back to a photoperiod grow after this for more control/really test out the new lights 🙌 Ended up more 50/50 ratio of Destiny Organic's Dark Matter Living Soil + ProMixHP since I had to make the Destiny last. Apparently they went out of business just after I decided it was my favourite/new soil :( Would rather stay away from Ocean Floor since I haven't had the best experiences with it (bugs/rust fungus etc) Feel free to drop some recommendations other than Fox Farms below 👍 The plant otherwise is healthy and growing well under the new set up. Still 3 and change tall but in context of the new light has tripled in size in a week and a half. If it looks like it's still vegging and starting to catch up once it settles into the new RootPouch 5gal woven then I'll keep it going. I raised the @ViparSpectraLED P1500 another eight inches after transplant and started basic LST. I really wanted to get these four under a ScrOG but if 3/4 are already flipping and the LSD is still runty I might have to wait it out again. I have the @MarsHydroLED TSL2000 set up and ready to go once the girls settle into their new pots. Have the new surge protector/heavy duty power cords/power tool grade timers as mentioned in Week 3. Some of it shown in the pictures. Hello gardeners! I'm starting my third grow after two good attempts where I learned a lot. In my first trial I was able to pull 40 + 20 + 20 = 80 g under not optimal conditions (limited time mostly), and in my second I improved to roughly 40 + 40 + 60 = 140 g with one additional week in veg and an additional led panel during flower. Now, my goal is to harvest 3 x 60 = 180 g with pretty much the same set up. The differences from my previous grow will be: 1) 1 more week in veg (total 6 weeks): I felt that my girls were not mature enough when I flipped them to 12/12 in the last grows. I wanna see them stronger and more robust this time 2) Use a larger pot size during flower (5 gal): for the same reason as above, I want to give them the opportunity to be strong and robust plants 3) Reduced number of colas (16 per plant): last time I was a bit conservative doing lollipop and removing the little side branches, and ended up with ~23 colas/ plant, which did not allow proper spacing between colas. Although ventilation was never a problem, there was a lot of shade that could not be avoided. 4) Improved feeding regime: (see images) one of my goals with my growing is to establish a good feeding regime that works reasonably well for average strains with my growing medium (PRO MIX herbs and vegetables). Since the medium is a hybrid between soil and soiless, the plants don't need extra nuts in the first weeks, but as the plants grown, the organic compost present in the medium becomes not sufficient. My feeding strategy is basically the GH Flora Series - Drain to Waste chart with reduced amounts in the first 4 weeks and slightly less nitrogen during flowering. 5) Height Control: since the girls will have an extra week to grow, I'll need to be extra cautious and control their height from the very beginning. I'll be doing 1 top in the CBD and GG, and probably 2 on the Moby Dick. I also may try something similar to manifolding on the Moby Dick if she starts to grow really faster than the others. In addition, I'll be scroging everything as low as I can. 6) LED panel distance: last time plants finished flowering about 16 in away from the lamp. 6/16 Fed today. Left out the microbe and kangaroots due to time. I'm adding the kelp me kelp you as well but it was a rush this morning. Didn't get spinosid applied last night. I found a spittle bug in it's bubbles and killed the nymph. I noticed random little munch's so that makes me think the spinosid is a good idea. Plants seem very happy. 6/17 Transplanted the rooted cuttings of 9lb kush and NYC Skunk Ape into a gallon of happy frog. From there they'll go in either a five gallon bucket, 10 gallon bag or right in the bag. Considering how late it is I think the two ten gallon grow bags would be perfect. The two Black Widow/GSC seeds kinda dried out but got transplanted to two red solo cups of happy frog. It will be interesting to see which strains do well in this harsh climate. Didn't get the spinosid sprayed and I'm unsure of I will tonight. Looks like rain. I'd rather apply when sky is clear. I love being able to do this. Every morning I start my day off right. Great boost to mental health! Internet is fucking up so I'm having difficulty loading pictures. Rrrrr 6/20 Took a bunch of pictures but forgot to add them and my internet connection is to slow to upload right now. I haven't had to water this crop only a couple times this year. Temperature shot down to 45 last night. I noticed some more WPM on the interior of some of the GDPs. Also leaf hopper damage and random munches from other bugs. I did some interior defoliation and spot treated with k bicarb and dawn. I'll attempt to upload pictures again. Black widow/GSC has germinated. 6/21 Watered the girls with the hose. Was super pressed for time so I couldn't pH the water. The hose looks like it's about 6.5 but I know it's a little more alkaline. Oh well it's what I've always used. I should've fed but again...crisis. girls look wonderful. I took a bunch of great photos but I used the app to take them and the didn't upload. On the plus side I got some older ones up. I haven't spent nearly the amount of time I usually do on my garden. However I will say the k bicarb has been stellar. Even using it as spot treatment. 6/22 FED 3 gallons today. Kept the same schedule but added a 1/4 tsp microbe brew and a 1/4 tsp kangaroots. Didn't have the kelp with me so I left it out. PM seems to be controlled pretty well. A few interior leaves were defoliated but overall things look great. Especially considering the 35-40 degree temperature swing we've been seeing. I don't really see any insect damage. I'll wait until the temps settle before I do a foliar spray.

25 and 28 days from planting. A couple of days before, I started cutting off the large leaves. Today I started doing LST. Perhaps I was a little hasty with this, but we'll see. The temperature problem has been resolved. Watering is carried out every 3 days. For the entire volume of the pot.

The OG Kush has wrapped up week 4 of flower. She got a healthy defoliation to expose bud sites, and is now on track to bulk up. She's been moved to the center of the tent for the rest of the grow. She's recharged and on cruise control from here on out...only removing dead leaves. Starting to smell like a funky citrus fruit. Still pretty light on the nose and trichome production has been minimal.

Had to check weather constantly to move the babies in the shelter in case of storm, since I don't want water causing moisture in the buds. I reported the usual temperatures graph provided by a national meteorological society. They are so cute. - DD ( PS. I'm using stupid diary info (lamp distance growing outdoor, nutrient = none, ...) because of how GD algorithm work. Sorry for this. )
