Week commencing Friday 29/01/21; - Switched from veg nutes to bloom nutes as the flowering had definitely started. Using half dosage and alternating feeds with clean water and nutrient water. - Acquired a Brita 8.2l filter tank to remove chlorine, lead etc. Couldn't hurt! - Dramatic height increase from the previous week. - Strange right angle clawing on two of the fat bananas. Pretty sure it's heat stress. - The water intake has increased to at least 750ml per plant. - Some lower tier leaves discoloured. Again, I'm pretty sure it's heat stress. - Stopped the LST this week. The stems have become very rigid and I don't want to risk damage. - I have definitely run out of space and have employed SOG by default. I'll defoliate further next week as I don't want to shock the plants in the early stages of flowering. - The heat is peaking too high and I have started opening the door for ventilation. No extraction is causing all sorts of heat regulation problems. God knows what the peaks are when I'm not here. - I have ordered a digital hygrometer that will display 24 hour highs and lows of temp and RH.

Hi@ALL, it's the end of the second flowering week, unfortunately, I’m dealing with fungus gnats. As a countermeasure, I’ve used nematodes. The challenge is that during the flowering phase, I prefer to let the soil dry out completely before watering. However, nematodes require consistently moist conditions to survive. Additionally, I’ve read that nematodes can take three to four weeks to eliminate all the eggs – quite a long time. I might also try neem oil. Also, I’ve noticed that the tips of 20%-25% of the leaves have turned brown and become crispy. This occurs both at the top and bottom of the plant. I suspect I’ve provided too much light. My biggest challenge currently is finding the right light intensity. I’m using an AC Infinity Ionframe EVO3 with 280W. According to the instructions, I should operate it at 100% intensity during the flowering phase when it’s 30 centimeters away. However, that feels like a full-blown laser show for the plant. (supposedly around 1600 PPFD). Now I’ve positioned it at 45 centimeters and 70% intensity. According to the Photone App, the upper part of the plant receives approximately 900-1000 PPFD. Unfortunately, I can’t fully trust my smartphone an the app… well, that’s what happens when you turn everything into science 😅 And one more thing caught my attention: the smell. It’s not there. I can hardly smell anything. My GG#4 is three weeks old and fills the entire room with its strong odor, but the L.A. Amnesia simply doesn’t smell like anything. Somehow, that worries me a little 😩 Overall, the plant seems "healthy" and does its thing, but I’m unsure whether to prune the lower branches. Ok, so this week I have put a microscope to the girls and the tops are showing a hell of a lot of amber so I have taken the tops off of them all to dry. Underneath is still more undeveloped so will leave the rest a while longer. No nutes the past week and not gonna add any more.

But it can also be that I have to cut some again, which would only be possible in 2-3 weeks because the mother has to grow back first.
