Day 23 The third week of flowering is complete. Most of the height growth is finished. Time for a radical defoliation. The girls look great. Unfortunately, Kush has formed hermaphrodites on the flowers in the shade. I hope that I have removed them all. The lamp will be raised to 100% output in two stages.

Well I’m a bit behind here. I left out of town for a few days and come back to some issues. Issue 1: Overwatered Issue 2: Light went bad and wasn’t producing enough to give my babies what they wanted. They stretched and didn’t actually Grow any bigger just taller. They was very weak and was almost like a noodle. I had a old 600w burple light that did the job. I tested UVs and she was still producing like a champ, she just gets warm. Issue 3: Mfing PEST. I noticed in my soil to what I thought might of been beneficial mites, I was wrong. After some great knowledge from GD pros come to find out it’s Baby Gnats. Found some organic DIATOMACEOUS EARTH garden safe. I had to transplant my babies already but only went to a little bit bigger pot and not the final one. Burying the stem, and left watering. My soil was moist enough to feed during transplant obviously bc their doing a lot better. I’m applying my DE to the dry soil and to help prevent any issues im going to do a straight 6.5 water feed from the bottom. Just applying the water to my tray and letting them go get it. I’m hoping the DE clears the bugs up and I can get these girls back on the right track. Lowered the RH to help fight off these bugs. As of right now they took well to the transplant and already have gotten stronger at the stem. With challenges come knowledge! Thanks for checking it out Peace love & grow

Northern lights germinated and sprouted on first try. She did have a issue shedding the husk. I accidentally damaged her upon helping her remove it. She looks like she will make it though. Everything is looking good beside that issue. She is hanging out in my autoflower room till I have a better spot to grow her. Finally last stage of flowering is here 😁 In next 2/3 weeks she will be ready for harvest. Update: Day 93 It's like waiting for Xmas, you know there will be gifts but you have to wait for them 😂😂😂 Update: Day 97 The buds slowly start to show a colours 😊 But my phone camera is a total trash so at that pictures you're not able to see it... To think people were telling me to chop her off because she looked deformed when she was young! glad I didn't listen to them as she turned out a beautiful plant! 100g of really nice dark purple bud. Really great strain, grew well without much care and produced really intresting looking buds.

Both plants are really surprising me. Good genetics. They had a horrible veg, in wrong soil, and these girl are frosty, dank, and chunky (1of2). I'd like to grow this again properly. Day 54 This girl is done! Took a few microscope peeps toward the middle and I see about 40% amber trichomes. Chopping tonight! Gotta check the other one (Christmas Tree). Hoping she has a few weeks left to bulk up, I don't know if she's worth trimming and I hope it's not a male! A few hours later... Checked trichomes on several spots of the bud and we have 50/50 clear to cloudy. Needs another few weeks.

One didn't get hit enough water from the sprinkler so it got stunted hard and had to go, the plan was to only do 2 this run so all good, I used this one in a breeding experiment and it recovered very well despite the conditions, but this is not part of this diary. Starting this week I will also add ORP and CF metrics, the ORP probe is not calibrated and values are to be taken with a grain of salt. Values are average of the day. The bud sites are just covered in tricomes, I had my magnifying glass out to check the colour and most are milky but not as much as I thought by going by the pistol coloring, as they are mostly brown. There is a more of a spicy dank smell to her now and the fan leaves have mostly died or are close to dying. Hopefully I can start the flush process soon but will not do this till I'm happy with the tricome colouring.

Did 2nd flush yesterday. 2 weeks straight ph water 6.7 so far. 2 more days til lights off for 3 nights. Nearly all cloudy , no amber at all. Smells like skittles/coffee.
