Tied her down this week, was a little too aggressive in doing so & partially snapped 2 branches off. Might try using fishing line & sinkers for lst rather than tying & retying every week with twine.

What a joy this grow has been. She was a real beauty. Absolute joy to grow...strong branches but she likes to stretch a lot. I knew wat to expect. I have grown Lemon Kush outdoors 3 times. The scrog this year was the perfect solution. I will not grow her again outdoors. This was my first time to see her finish. Seeing her flower this year, she just needs the warmth in the end. The climate here rarely offers that. I must say the dense flowers are amazing also size and yield is incredible. Update about that later. Trichomes were underdeveloped. I had to harvest early because of mould. The last 3 weeks of flower the temperatures were very low 10-15 C daytime and very very wet. I believe this stunted the plants. They made a full stop in development and exploded again in the last week. 3 days of sun did more than the 2 weeks before. Weather forecast were bad so big buds were harvested 25 september. We eventually had more sun than expected and bottom half was left until 2 october. That week made sooo much difference!! Those bottom buds finally developed some nice trichomes and turned purple. Of course I wish the big buds could have enjoyed the sunshine during that last week as well. Most of you will know, being an outdoor grower...Every year is about compromises. This year was so hot during growth and cold and wet in bloom that mould was unstoppable. After all I am very pleased with this grow and cant wait to taste some of this. Probably needs al long cure though to bring back that lemon scent. Almost seems like all that the rain washed the scent right off her😪 Keep growing y'all!

****** Week 8 Vegetation - Sept 5 to 11/20 They were transplanted from solo cups into 1 gal pots on day 15, topped on day 37 and then into 5 gal fabric on day 50 (C472 into 3 gal two days later) C471 transplanted finally into her final home of a 5 gal pot on September 6. Mixed with roughly 20% Perlite and 80% Coco Coir. She has been the more aggressive grower so I gave her the 5 gal pot. Will put the slightly slower grower C472 into the 3 gal fabric pot. Hope this will balance out things with the size of the root mass in an equal amount of time. C472 not tranpsplanted until Sept 8, once I finally got a 3 gal fabric pot.......was sure that 5 gal looked like a 3 gal🤪🤪🤪 Anyway.....she spent and extra two days in the 1 gal pot👍 So they are finally done with transplants. Now its time to stay focussed on filling in the canopy with bud sites. Need to let these girls grow a little more vertically to keep up with the Gorilla Girls, which are growing so hard already💪👍 Suspect this might be an ongoing issue in this run.......the indica in this strain may keep her a fair bit shorter in height. The photo tent has basically been turned into the Sweet Seeds tent for the next couple of months😃😃 Once in flower will be cooling these girls off at night to bring out their potential colour changes in late bloom. They are growing leaves nice and large and plentiful. Node space is staying pretty tight still. Just need those branches to take off vertically so Silica will be introduced soon. Still working out a bit how I need the branches to bend around to fill in the canopy. Once I start increasing the silica as an additive on its own, its tougher to bend around her branches but she will certainly grow stronger. I want to put a SCROG in but I am actually a little concerned about SCROGing two potentially pretty different strains........lots of Sativa in Gorilla Girl and those phenos are pushing out more branch than leaf🙁 A little more detail..... Sept 5/20 - watering in the morning simply to get ready for transplanting in PM: - 500ml - CalMag, B52 @ 1.5ml - 385ppm and 5.7pH - transplanted with Mycorrhizae - watering in the PM after transplanting: - 1.5L - Velokelp, Vitathrive, Microbes @ 2ml - 110ppm and 5.2pH - missed the damn pH again but running with it. Really not looking for these girls to take off just yet so been keeping the feedings light. Noticing some possible issues forming though with light leaf colours and some dark areas in the roots. Time to bump up the feeding ppm and more ml’s to get more runoff water from the coco at feedings. CalMag might be a little light as well but start with more water. Been keeping it a little light and that is likely causing some of these issues. That wraps up this week and feel better about how the tent is looking now. they are 2 purple afghan kush and it shows the difference .. the second one measures 130 cm and started its flowering process ... they always feed organically .. as well as only with fish tank water...

7 weeks later and she's flowering nicely, not too much verticle growth but the buds are getting bigger every day. Stoked! Nothing new, might make another compost tea up this week. 9/17 - Day 30 Flowering! Both shooting pistils with Mace pulling ahead of GG's schedule even more. GG started showing what appears to be a P deficiency on largest fan leaves. Took it as a sign to feed for BAS nutrient tea and bottom feeding some Buddha Bloom. Mace shows some mag def, increased calmag. 9/18 Added slight LST to GG, mostly to guide the main cola/stalk away from growing straight into the light. Elevated blumat res to increase warer rate. 9/23 - Day 36 Humming along! Added pics.

I'm flabbergasted, the flowering is speeding up a bit. i think it's a hybrid and not sativa (bagseed ;)) when rubbing the bud, the smell is so sweet, a bit like some kind of lemonade without the molasses the ec was at 1.8, i took the back of a fork and scooped some mollasses with it, and stirred and shaked it in. i measured again, the ec was 2.1 the ec seems high, but plants from seed kan take a lot of nutrients, and, you shouldn't measure after adding boosters. the mollasse i use is good quality blackstrap molasse, it stimulates the soil in different ways, enzym, bacteria and nutrient levels and gives the nice sugar boost (?!) -edit - next week bacteria from fishmix (very low dosage)

Second real week of flowering completed with a very stable transition after the stretch phase. Plants have finished stretching and clear flower site formation is now visible across the canopy, with abundant white pistils and a very uniform structure. The environment has been kept well controlled throughout the week, running temperatures around 24–25 °C, relative humidity close to 50–55%, and a stable VPD in the 1.4–1.5 kPa range. This has allowed proper transpiration without any signs of stress. Root zone temperatures remained in the optimal range, around 20–21 °C, supporting healthy root activity. In terms of lighting, PPFD was progressively increased to around 850–880 µmol/m²/s, resulting in a DLI of approximately 38–39 mol/m²/day. This is a high but safe level for this stage, always supported by a balanced environment. Plant response has been very positive, with no signs of light stress. Nutrition has been gradually adjusted toward flowering, maintaining a good balance between continued growth and floral development. EC has been stable around 1.1–1.2 mS/cm with a pH close to 6.3. Leaves remain healthy with good turgor and overall color, with slight tonal variations that are normal during this transition phase. Overall, a very solid week: vigorous plants, well-formed structure, and a clean, healthy start to flower production. Everything is set up perfectly to enter week 3, where the focus will be on consolidating early bud development while maintaining environmental and root-zone balance.
