Week 4 has begun. LST (Low Stress Training) is starting to show its effects: most of the shoots have grown past the rim of the pot and are being tied down further away from the center—this will continue until the stretch begins. During the stretch phase, no further training will be done; the plants will be allowed to grow upwards undisturbed. I’m curious to see how many shoots will be in the desired position by then, and whether all the shoots or bud sites will be on an even level after the stretch. Until then, defoliation will continue as needed, and tying down will be adjusted accordingly.

We've made it to week 3! (10/12/20) I'm very happy with how the girls are going, they have definitely put in a HUGE amount of work over the past 7 days. Plants 3 & 8 are very similar(extremely fat leaves & extra bushy) Plants 1 & 5 are similar (smaller phenos reacting to nutes slightly differently) & Plants 2, 4, 6 & 7 seem to be a cross between the previously mentioned phenos(not too small and not too big/bushy & reacting to nutes fine) Feel free to compare Week 1, 2 & 3 to see the differences. Nutes are staying the same this week, although I will be spacing feedings out a little bit further(18 hours-ish), as well as feeding straight PH'd water once a fortnight. I am contemplating hooking my simple drip-to-waste irrigation system up, although the girls are pretty close to the medium still and the halos sit 5-10cm above the medium, meaning fan leaves would be drooping onto the wet halos, so I'll give it another week and see how they're doing :) Update 11/12/20 - day 22 The girls have beefed up quite a bit over the last 24 hours, I'm really looking forward to seeing a stretch soon :) No feeding today & will water plain ph'd water tomorrow. Update 12/12/20 - day 23 Gave the girls straight ph'd water today with little run off. Veg growth is really starting to boom now, looking forward to seeing where this grow goes! I'm gladly accepting any tips or tricks, as I'm still only a beginner to indoors. Update 13/12/20 - day 24 Girls are looking great today, not much to report. They didn't get a feed or watering today as the medium was still wet after a pure watering yesterday. Update 14/12/20 - day 25 There's been a big increase in growth over the past 24 hours. All the girls besides the 2 smaller phenos look 100% happy, the smaller ones have looked a little weird since day 1(Weird as in colour of the fan leaves look deficient of something, but I'm not sure what. The girls will be getting a full feeding today. There's still no signs of sex but they are feminised seeds. Update 15/12/20 - day 26 Girls are looking happy today. Temps are back to normal after a heat wave in my city(its only going to get hotter from here on out). No feeding/watering today, pots are heavy/wet enough. Started using iphone for photos now, my only lens for my DSLR is useless for most grow related photos. I will upgrade my lens before next grow. I received my new silenced fan today! I couldnt be any happier :) It is a silenced Sigilventus SE-A150J, which I have set-up with a brand new Can-lite carbon filter. I went from a rocket loud eBay fan to a completely silent inline EC fan :D I hope the girls like the silence! Update 16/12/20 - day 27 The girls are continuing to boom! and I'm over the moon about it :D I gave them a full feeding today. I have seen white pistils coming out of calyx's on most of the girls, so i'm hoping they start to flower soon. I'm having weird issues with my humidity, it seems to be fine at 40-50% for 70% of the day, but the remaing 30% of the day it goes up to 60-65%. Temps stay the same in the 5x5 tent, I have ducted air-con in the house which is on most of the day. Thanks for viewing! :)

Early in the week my girl got a big trim probably the last until the big chop. I also gave her a spinosad treatment, and a compost tea with unsulfured molasses and other good compost ingredients. At this point I'm just watching the buds grow and watching out for any unwanted pest. The trichomes are still clear and some pistils (not many) are starting to turn brown so I believe I still have a few more weeks.

Last Week of her life, now shes getting in the darkroom for 2-3 days. I flushed her the 3 days with water, and didnt give her any water for 2 days after flushing. I had to cut the Main-Bud due to mold :( Total flower time ~12-13 Weeks. Total Life Time: Since April 24th 2024. After the darkroom shes is going to be hung for 1 or 1/2 weeks depends. Get ready for the harvest, I've already had to taste it and I have to say it tastes like gelato and smells like gelato. But more on that soon.

She seems to thrive in the new soil, I'm checking her regularly because of the darker ridged leaves, could I have overdone the bloodmeal content? It should not have overfeeding effects with organic super soil. But we'll see. The FIM seems to have taken hold with her and today I started training, although it is more main-lining. For this, I just used some microwaved bamboo from the garden. Now we go towards flowering and I'm getting more excited after the first few weeks were a bit sad. Some of you might have seen my super soil recipe in my other grow, the Orange Hill Special, if you didn't, check it out here in the images! I designed it out of frustration that products like Fox Farms etc are not readily available in Europe. Those who saw my Gelato Monstercop grow, know that soil was pretty good, that soil became the base for this recipe, amended with some organic precursors to make it less dependent on feeding and after amending. Second tallest plant in the room, shes been drinking every other day, lollipoped the base a bit this week and she is looking great! She's got roots sticking up over the the medium, so same comment about my big bud strain, I will be sure to have a tote with extra soil in it.

Well I’m a bit behind here. I left out of town for a few days and come back to some issues. Issue 1: Overwatered Issue 2: Light went bad and wasn’t producing enough to give my babies what they wanted. They stretched and didn’t actually Grow any bigger just taller. They was very weak and was almost like a noodle. I had a old 600w burple light that did the job. I tested UVs and she was still producing like a champ, she just gets warm. Issue 3: Mfing PEST. I noticed in my soil to what I thought might of been beneficial mites, I was wrong. After some great knowledge from GD pros come to find out it’s Baby Gnats. Found some organic DIATOMACEOUS EARTH garden safe. I had to transplant my babies already but only went to a little bit bigger pot and not the final one. Burying the stem, and left watering. My soil was moist enough to feed during transplant obviously bc their doing a lot better. I’m applying my DE to the dry soil and to help prevent any issues im going to do a straight 6.5 water feed from the bottom. Just applying the water to my tray and letting them go get it. I’m hoping the DE clears the bugs up and I can get these girls back on the right track. Lowered the RH to help fight off these bugs. As of right now they took well to the transplant and already have gotten stronger at the stem. With challenges come knowledge! Thanks for checking it out Peace love & grow

Week 7 update 🌱 – the journey continues! Last week, the first signs of nitrogen deficiency started to show. I tried to compensate, but I might have slightly overdone it with the chemical nutrients. To correct things, I flushed the roots the day before yesterday, but it seems to have caused even more stress 😅. This is my first time working with hydro, so it’s all a learning process. I’m hoping everything will bounce back, and to avoid further stress, I’ll now only use potassium hydroxide to balance the pH 💧🌿. Fingers crossed that this brings the system back on track! At the end of the day, it’s all about experimenting and improving. I’m staying positive and keeping an eye on the ladies – they’re tough, and I’m sure they’ll pull through 💪🍃. Letzte Woche haben sich die ersten Anzeichen von Stickstoffmangel gezeigt. Ich habe versucht, das zu kompensieren, aber scheinbar habe ich es mit dem chemischen Dünger etwas übertrieben. Um das Ganze zu korrigieren, habe ich vorgestern die Wurzeln gründlich gespült, was allerdings für noch mehr Stress gesorgt hat 😅. Da das mein erstes Mal mit Hydro ist, lerne ich noch dazu. Ich hoffe, dass sich alles wieder fängt. Um die Pflanzen nicht weiter zu stressen, werde ich jetzt nur noch mit Kaliumhydroxid den pH-Wert anpassen 💧🌿. Drückt die Daumen, dass das System sich jetzt stabilisiert! Am Ende geht’s darum, zu experimentieren und sich zu verbessern. Ich bleibe optimistisch und behalte die Ladies genau im Auge – sie sind zäh und ich bin sicher, dass sie sich erholen 💪🍃. The Titan is growing as I had hoped. The many side branches are growing larger and in the center is a nice main cola. Beside the LST clips a few weeks ago, no more training is needed it seems. I did some defoilation to optimize the airflow and to give the developing buds in the side branches more light. More pics and updates coming later this week. The Titan is developing a really nice flowery/citrus like smell. I added some Bio Tabs Bio PK 5-8 to the mix to support the many buds she is forming.
